The only 275 I'm putting up are my scores on the CCNA practice exam.

Toxic work environments are everywhere. I'm retired military and it was int the military, Then I've driven trucks and welded since retiring and there's toxicity there too. My wife's job in banking has toxicity. It is literally everywhere. I'm studying to get into the IT career field at 52 and already aware that it will be there too. YOU NEED TO POST A VIDEO OF 1 OF YOUR WORKOUTS, fellow lifter here and I roll too. At least you know you can crush one of the super nerds out there if need be🤣

I was in toxic environment where I worked for a company and quit after 20 days or so. They were yelling at ppl for being lazy but really they were cheap and understaffed. I brought back all my equipment and quit the end of the day. They told me I was making a big mistake, I'll regret it then I got an internship at f500 and landed a network engineer job.

Yes more than once. Basically all what you mentioned. What worked for me is leaving. No discussion, no fighting, no negotiation, nothing worked. Just leave.
Side note: start next monday on a new place. Wish me luck, and good colleagues.

      Unfortunately, I agree.
I don't think talking really changes anything. It would take a big collective and collaborative effort to change workplace culture but most aren't willing to do it.
Management/leadership give empty promises that things will change then they don't. I saw this at one job, I quit in less than a month. They said they promise they were going to do things better and the very next week, they asked us to work overtime then demanded we work overtime and said we were getting lazy when reality we're understaffed and the longest tenured person there was six months.
Good luck on your new job I hope you work with great people!

Work politics are brutal. Having the patience to allow others voice their opinion but also having the confidence to shut certain things down is a balance one has to teach themselves over and over. Empathy is the best method. When others understand what you have to go through on a day to day basis, your struggles, road blocks, etc they tend to be more patient. Not in all cases, some people are just assholes lol.
Also, I'm not at 275 on the bench yet lol. 255 4Xs is the highest I've tried. Prolly a 1 rep max at 275?

Environment is the most important thing above all imo, I couldn't stand working with higher ups who feel entitled/smarter or bottlenecking. Another thing you said is people not doing there job is annoying, even people in higher positions not doing there job and it lands back on you to fix it is stupid, only for them to have to deal with it again for being lazy lmao

What's your opinion on chatgpt? I know commented on your videos before as to why you picked the whole ccnp route instead of the after your CCNA get "linux certs and then get cloud certs". However, I think you made a smart choice because as a network engineer you have to be hands on and go from site to site, which means your job can never be truly automated and chatgpt will have less negative effects on your job role. What's your opinion? I want more videos man. Keep up the good work!

Do you recommend going through the labs after completing all the course material? Or do you suggest going through the labs while going through the material?

I remember I interviewed for a help desk job. They wanted people to travel to set up stuff for PGA tour and other events.
She told me the CEO cares about his employees. He's a down to earth guy who wears Tshirt and jeans to work. They gave me that family spiel. So I said you mentioned he cares about his employees, how does he show it? What are some of the employee perks/benefits?
She kept stuttering and stammering. I asked if they had any documentation, a ticketing system. She went silent and tried to dance around it before ultimately saying "no, we don't have any documentation but you can lean on experienced staff for help!"
She tried to market the job as light travel and made it sound like it was local. Just around the city. So I asked " just to clarify is this local or domestic ?" She never discussed domestic travel and said it was both.
I thanked her for her time and got the hell off the phone.
Another red flag she called me at night and we were in the same time zone. Which probably means work is overworking her. She emailed me originally on the weekend at night(!) to set up the call interview. Another red flag.

100% the way you figure it out, and you still can be fooled, is to ask them questions. Similar to what Flo… said.
A question I asked, what’s the average turnover rate for technicians in this position. Or less direct would be, how long did the person in this position prior work here, or does this position usually promote within or leave the company.
Sounds hardcore but I have had 3 interviews since being in IT and all the companies answered those questions.
I have 15 years experience in another field and I think average technician time in position matters a lot, or finding out what the turnover is like for the position you are applying for and if they typically promote from within.
