Was going to purchase I’ve been living with my grandparents all my life they refuse to upgrade I was so excited to finally have good internet I ordered a phone and paid for the $65 a month plan and noticed you get slowed down to 200kbps after hitting 50GB
Yeah! Even if you (like me) turn your Google Fi sim card *off* during most of your international trip! Using his technique, I barely hit 0.1GB (100MB) and they STILL sent me a warning!
because that’s common sense. no US carrier (MNO or MVNO) w/ international coverage options are going to let you use them for extended periods of time (typically anything greater than a month but each carrier sets their own limits).
The power of Google Fi is the extra Data Sims you can get for free. You can order 4 extra data sims for use in other devices with only the charge for data. I'm one of the original Fi users and am grandfathered with 9 extra data sims. I use them as secondary data plans on our 5 phones that have Verizon as primary. I also have them in 2 LTE iPads and my mom's android tablet. It's an unbelievable deal!
Thank you very much for your previous Google fi video. I just used an old pixel phone and put into service a new number for the trip. It worked excellent in Scotland. And we were out in the boonies
I had to leave Google fi after 2 weeks. The connection was soooooo bad. No internet service at work (aerospace manufacturing). My kid couldn't receive texts while inside the school... needs to be outside for it to work. Good luck if you're switching to Google fi.
I don't travel lol. Just poor and the middle one is only $20 per month (4 people though). But also you can change the plan once a month so if you travel infrequently, you could theoretically switch to the traveler plan and switch back
Flexible also allows for international data at the same rates, but I think you covered that in Simply Unlimited with the lack of international data perk.
Allow me to briefly recount my recent experience w/ Fi. My family and I went on holidays to Ireland, June 5th to July 3rd, halfway through our trip, June 20 they decided that my june 16th payment didn't go through. Then on the June 22, Fi decided my account wasn't secure enough and needed verification. So, on June 23 they put my account on "partial suspension". This means I could receive text and phone calls but nothing else, no internet, no GPS, no email, no Google services, PayPal, wallet, etc..., needless to say that while traveling in the rural parts of Co. Antrim this was extremely inconvenient. So, I filled out the requested info and verified my payment had gone through on June 14, then I was informed that the partial suspension couldn't be lifted until it was reviewed within the next 48 hrs. After 46 hours and many communications they finally lifted the suspension and sent an email declaring they were "pleased to announce the restoration of service to my account." They offered no apology, no explanation, no compensation or acknowledgement of the time, money, and travel interruption this arbitrary suspension cost me and my family, they still have not. This is not the Google I've come to count on. I will be cutting ties with Fi and other Google services as soon as this billing cycle is through.
Goggle Fi also uses U S Cellular - UScellular is the fifth-largest wireless carrier in the United States, with 4,786,000 customers in 426 markets in 23 states
They just contacted me and going to shut down my international data broom outside the US for less than 3 months. They have the worst customer service. They won’t even tell me the date they will shut down my data.
If anyone knows she does. I switched to mint Mobile on my work line, it's 4gigs data $15.00 per month usually I do, a one year prepaid. It data doesn't shut off after 4gig. I didn't see slow down. I BEEN IN Chicago Phoenix LA Florida all great .Thanks again I RATE WHISLE OUT 10 OUT 10. BEST
Warning: I have(had) an iPhone and signed up with Google Fi, but 2 days ago decided to switch carriers. I canceled Google Fi and tried to activate my new carrier. I couldn't because Google Fi said they couldn't give me a sim pin unlock code because I'd canceled. My iPhone is now a paperweight.
I had them 3 months and hated them. It was a pain just to get my account number and pin. They said they couldn't push a plan change unless you are unlimited which I call bull on. The only good thing was unlocked phone so I took the phone and went to Verizon prepaid
...I am still trying to get the hang of this.... Especially since my brain got a little over heated today, in NYC's about 90° sunny weather....I was cleaning up outside my corner home, then pushing my old mechanical mower threw grass and shrub, taking down illegal advertising sings on my telephone poll and stop sign...; then I felt good enough to clean, mow, etc the street, church area, my neighbor's front, and my other neighbor's front (that had stuff, trash, and shrub around a giant tree for decades)...I almost felt the tree, neighbors, city, world, and god begging me to clean up that mess).....I lost track as I handled the pains, but noticed I should go inside and get more things to pack the trash.....When I got in, I decided to grab some food, that I got from pantries last night and this morning....As I ate, some painful things happened inside my mouth...I decided I should strip to my underarms....Then I striped to my underwear.....I washed up, and laid down by a fan noticing that, I was steaming...My belly for some reason over expanded ....What can one expect at times from food banks, the heat, or maybe the spooky ness of decades of trash ...I recuperated enough, to go out and finish up outside......Anyway, as having to unlock a phone and using a data only sim card, how do these function in order to use a smart device?....
....Since this Juneteenth thing, I decided to make a new movie...This could be the best disco movie in history....Do you want know to the name of this block buster?...Hmmm, all of you in cyber space might want to know as well ...Yep, I am into all kinds of music, but this month I am going disco...
....Anyway, I can't find my parents since 2015....They snatched them from our home of around fifty years...Maybe you WiFi techs could help...This is my sincere SOS..

Why didn’t you mention being outside the US for long periods of time. They will shut down your data.

I'm so glad that I live in Northern Europe. All this stuff is free.

I heard that iphone users won’t get 5G data, is that true?

Does Google Fi have the same service quality as T-Mobile?
I use Verizon. Does my phone need to be unlocked for all carriers to be able to use this service?
Thanks for this. The option to bounce between plans means you can't really go wrong.
Wow that's awesome
If I get flexible. How much data do I get before I get charged for more.
Info please
I guess once a week now for new video whatever it is thanks for this video
Very good, but if you travel too long, they will shut off your service.

Getting unlimited plan soon as I am working in a cruise. Saves time & struggles
Is she half Asian? Chick is good looking
anyone know about the international data cap before slow-down?
Does 50gb per line or 4 line shares 50gb ?
....How does sim stuff function?...
So does Fi only use Tmo? I thought they used US Cellular as well?
They use both
US Cellular and Tmobile. Since Tmobile and Sprint merged.
Using T-Mobile as backbone, who can beat Mint Mobile? I'm looking at numbers and it makes no sense to switch to Google Fi.
4 users on the Simply Unlimited is $80 plus taxes and fees. It doesn't slow your speeds till you hit 35GB of usage.
I'm making some calculations. I'd be paying less than 300 for 3 lines (3 months) with Google Fi while on mint I pay 390 for 3 lines (3 month plan)
pretty woman
if we want to join 4 people we need to buy only one sim right? By one sim we can join 4 peoples?
I'm definitely going with good fi hopefully in Nov
She’s so cool
I'm switching for the $300 discount on the Pixel 7 Pro 💪🏽

You have to port before you cancel your service. Common, not just Fi
This made my day 😃
Multiple lines share monthly GB? Or is it separate per line?
Separate. We have 2 lines and they're counted independently on the Simply Unlimited plan.
Sounds expensive for t-mobile service.
They slow you down at 256kbps after....
This is great if u travel overseas a lot.
One thing they do not mention is, if the data is shared or is 50GB per line, 🥴
Data is per line.
Who is this gorgeous goddess sharing tech news with us?
Stop it.
I had them 3 months and hated them. It was a pain just to get my account number and pin. They said they couldn't push a plan change unless you are unlimited which I call bull on. The only good thing was unlocked phone so I took the phone and went to Verizon prepaid
Sorry to hear that

Don't use cheap, please use the word "affordable "
Visible plus is still better
