wouldn't it be nice if a job interview *REALLY* went this way... instead of: "don't call us, we'll call you..." providing you even get to the interview stage.. in the states, once you hit 40, you had better have a job somewhere.. because at that age or older, most outfits don't even want to see you coming...

@@HolzMichel Companies looking for management material normally "select" people over 45 years of age. I am a sorftwere developer and age is not usually a reason for rejection, I see it constantly. For a long time I worked in the finance area and when we selected financial product vendors, we looked at that they were over 40 years old and even had a family, so we ensured dedication to the company and experience.
What nobody tells you when you hire employees is that if you are looking for loyal employees, do not hire under 25, in the long run they will leave you with an empty position, you will train them and then they left you. Again I speak from experience. I am 39 years old, I have never had so many job offers. Not only in development but especially in sales. sorry my english
