Hi everyone, long time no see! This is a silly little track from the album I'm working on. Things kept going awry during this project making it take much longer than it should have to release. Still, I've been working on many tracks for the new album, so regardless of my long break from uploading, I've been a good girl!

The poem 'Tarts' appeared in 'Alice in Wonderland' by Lewis Carroll in 1865, but is actually much older. (I think there's a record of it appearing in a publication in the 1700's) The author is lost to time.
Kevin and I filmed this in a beautiful garden, about an hour away, but since it is privately owned we had to film in just a few rushed trips so as not to wear out our welcome or annoy anyone. If I look frazzled and sweaty in any shots, it's possibly because I was frazzled and sweaty....and we forgot stuff we needed. yay!
Oh, and I made the dresses, in case you can't tell from all the loose threads! The Queen's dress took me a few months to make. Please take the time to appreciate the hundreds of bead pearls I sewed onto the skirt. ;_;

"The past 4 years or so have been difficult ones. My voice started to degrade in quality and we couldn't figure out why. I lost my chest register and tried to continue on with just my head/classical voice. However, in the last year and a half that too has become impossible to control and make a nice sound with. The three doctors that I've been to have all given me different vague diagnoses and nothing seemed to help. The last one I went to thought it might be something known as 'silent reflux' which means that acid from my stomach is creeping up and burning my vocal cords. It makes a lot of sense, however, if that is the case, the damage is pretty bad from going undiagnosed for many years. I don't know how long it will take the cords to return to normal. But I have changed my diet completely and done numerous other things to hopefully ensure the acid will stop coming up (if that is the reason). Please wish me luck on my journey in finding a cure for my voice!" - Erutan.

Erutan wrote an update at the end of April 2023 and you can read the full text on her website but I cut out a bit to post here to just remind people to not compare her past voice with her current one because it has caused her PTSD and a lot of anxiety, please be respectful and support her in these difficult times.
"My life is more private than it was in the past. I admit I have dealt with a form of PTSD regarding my social media, with it bringing back all the myriad anxieties surrounding the loss of my singing voice, blows to my identity and self worth and the career I might have had. And it was never easy seeing/hearing reminders of how my voice used to be. It still isn't. But I am feeling better from keeping a bit of a distance, and have built a happy, busy life filled with many activities I love. That said, I know I've missed much kindness and good times with many wonderful people, and that is a deep regret of mine, but I've had to listen to what my mind and body were telling me in order to get through this very difficult time. I hope you will forgive me." - Erutan

Post-traumatic stress disorder, literally what PTSD means, can take on many forms. First of all, let me begin by saying it brought me so much pleasure to scroll through the comments and to see so many familiar names and faces from the past eleven or so years I've been following your music. You deserve all the support in the world and it fills me with joy to see all the kindness flooding to you!

Yeah she updated I think this April of 2023 about issues with her voice so it’s understandable. That’s a pretty big blow to hear from doctors when your a singer man. Been listening to her music for the last five years and she has a voice as lovely as moonlight, unlike any other. Both my girlfriend and I love what she makes. It’s just sad to see her having some health issues with her body, throat, and voice. That’s hard. And if creating music is your life and singing is your passion, I can’t believe having that news hit you. Atleast she is still updating how she’s doing on her website and it’s not just been radio silence for years you know. After like a year I noticed she hadn’t uploaded in a good while. Then after two I started to think something happened or she just stopped making music. Her music videos and songs have always been a nice background tune while I’m writing my books. What a magical voice and mind. I truly hope she gets better. She’s trying out different diets and tasks with her voice, but other than that, let’s just hope she can get back into the swing of things. Erutan, you got this. Stay strong.

It's 2024 and I only just now found Erutan, and now I'm going to through comments on this and other videos piecing together what happened. Erutan I hope you're doing well! Missing out on a possible career is painful, I know that pain more than anyone. Sometimes to comfort myself when others find success that I never did, I think of Ozymandias bragging about his great empire, but of course it's nothing but dust blowing through the wasteland.

When I saw that there was an update my heart skipped a beat (I thought it was the long awaited album, nevertheless I was thrilled to listen to this adorable song, I love the violins and vocal harmonizations).
Also, I'm positively impressed with the music videos, I would NEVER say they aren't professional, the costumes, scenario and story are so beautiful.
Needless to say, I'm super excited to hear the new album (I lost count of how many times I have listened to the Jabberrwocky, it's a gem).

I just read the update on her website 😭 there's nothing to forgive as you were never in the wrong. Even if your voice is no longer the same, honestly, even if one day you're no longer able to sing, I'd still listen to your music! Your instrumentals are wonderful and your compositions are so unique!

I was missing you and wondered about you. Just learned of your condition. I’m so sorry to hear what had happened. I can empathize with you a bit. I have acid reflux and I sing, but only as a hobby. Over the years I’ve noticed my rage change where I couldn’t reach the notes I used to. It’s like you lost a piece of that self. I hope you can heal well!! Also, even if it could be irreversible, I believe any new song or voice from you will be just as beautiful. A deeper, rougher voice can blossom into strength. 🌹

She lost it but has been able to sing again by learning how to do it with the register she didn't lose! There's more info about it in the description box of her previous video Jabberwocky 👍

I sincerely hope she recovers and gets to do what she loves again. I am not a stranger to loss, as I have become deaf and over the last 4 years have lost my ability to understand music and film and the birds chirping in the trees etc. pain is very real for everyone but i hope she wins her fight.

Still come back and listen to many of your songs regularly after so many years. It's been almost 4 years since your last post and you're still one of my favorite RUclipsrs, especially on the music side.

On your website, i read that you suffer (ed?) from voice problems because of health problems. I have the same issue since several years, also because of medical reason and i feel quite helpless and frustrated. i lost the enthusiams in singing because it doesnt sound good anymore, you know what i mean... well, enaugh said, i just wanted to say i feel you girl and wish you the best.
Everything you do is so genuine and handmade and I love it so much!!! With so many things coming out with the rise of technology to aide us in making things easier to do, you always do such a wonderful job not taking any shortcuts and I just wanted to praise you for that

I thought that happened even before this, and she's had some recovery? I remember reading about it around the time of her collaborations with Jillian Aversa.
@@nitroglitch45 You're right, this issue started when she lost her lower register in her voice. She took some time to recover and then did both this song and the upload before it, Jabberwocky as she was trying to use and practice with her upper register. As far as we know, she has been trying to figure out why her voice is degrading. I hope she can recover tho, I do miss her content and singing, but moreover, I hope she has people close to her to help her through this too.
