I definitely agree he knew how to talk to women. I bought his "Best Of" CD back in the late 70s / early 80s and played it on a loop any time I was lucky enough to get a lady back to my apartment. I'll never know how much credit Al deserved for my successes but I will always be grateful. And every song on that CD was amazing.

I lived in Memphis on the same street, Reverend Al Green saw God in the form of boiling hot grits being thrown on his bare body by his abused woman. Al never returned to his abusive ways. I bet those grits stuck like napalm ouch!!!

If I ever decide to be get married, I’ve always wanted this to be the song I dance to for my first dance song. I remember my dad playing this song when I was younger, and I’ve always loved it.
