Synopsis:
The German U-Boat, U-234, from the Port of Kiel is trading cargo with the Japanese. USS Seaviper must locate and stop this dangerous exchange. The Captain of USS Seaviper must go ashore to conduct reconnaissance on an island near Sumatra, but the ship is left in the hands of Mister Cutter, after the Executive Officer is injured in battle. A conflict between Cutter and the Chief of the Boat puts the submarine in jeopardy. Seaviper is trapped below the surface, with decreasing oxygen, and a Japanese destroyer hunting them from above. Damage to the boat also leave her survival in question. They must fight the Japanese destroyer and get the information about U-235 back to Pearl Harbor.

Going down with one engine off, panicked pilots without head gear, shaky camera..... that's all I needed to see.
They blew it with the Mayday call.........
And a dc3/c47 as a recon plane I don't think so
don't forget teh uniforms....Admirals with beards, sub skipper wearing whites with black shoes and no sub pin....

Why do people make up movie titles when this clearly already has one??
At one hour, 17 minutes, the Japanese destroyer was apparently driving at speed towards the submarine.
However, when torpedo number four actually hits it, the portside anchor chain can be seen and there is no bow wash.
I guess that’s what you call directors and filmmakers license.

Good movie, but very poor acting
Cheap made guns jam when needed the most.
Thats awful roomy inside for a WWII submarine. Thats based on my visits to the U-505 in Chicago though.
The WW2 Balao class subs like the one in the movie were 50' longer, 5' wider and 400tons heavier than the
U505. They were definitely a lot roomier.
They thrill the viewers by the battle of two commanding officers of the sub.
That is battling their command ,..what a directors ediots ....
Why don't they take out the threat first. Those destroyers.

Yet, when we see, the external bound shot all for external doors open.
