I wrote some software that did this and had them all mastered in about an hour and a half.
Knowing them out of order is great advice.
a good tip for general orders is write them out 5 times each, it takes so much time but i learned them in 3 days

Yes I had to learn those in boot camp I made it though div 176 2001
One thing that helped me was write the orders down on some flash cards with the number on the back.
Once you have memorised the orders, shuffle the cards to challenge yourself on what number corresponds with each order.

You’ll want to learn your general orders ASAP! Not only for your own good but, for the good of the division! We had a watch get a order wrong, and our 1st RDC made us right all the general orders and chain of command with R&R in full sentences 6 times in 2 Days. Someone didn’t do the assignment and he doubled the assignment and made it due by rev next morning. It doesn’t sound like much but you do the assignment own time AKA after Taps.

My das has this hilarious story from one night when he did watch during his basic. My dad's DS (or whoever) snuck into the barracks while my dad was doinh patrols. My dad hears a noise on his walk back, looks under one of the racks amd sees his DS with a fake knife in his hands. He shines the light on the DS and is like, "Is that you?" His DS says something like, "Carry on Strader." And then he gets off the floor and walks out. XD when I first heard that I was in tears. The funniest shit bro. DS bout to fake take out some students and then say my dad is a shit watchman XD can you imagine that happening to you? XD

Hey JT, I really like watching your videos and I was hoping you could give me some advice. I plan on enlisting around September, but I'm still not sure what branch I want to join. I've looked into what all the different branches have to offer, and I know I either want to be a Marine or go into the Navy. I really like the physical aspect of what it takes to be a Marine, as I have been an athlete my whole life. Plus they're BAD ASS!!! I am considering the Navy because I want to travel, I like the ocean, and its mostly non combat.
P.S. I'm about to be 18 and only want to serve active duty for 4 years.

During a drill my father was an AO, and his captain didn't have the password to get in, so he got to hold a shot gun to his captain head until the drill was over. (It was a surprise, no one knew it was a drill)
Had a WO come through the side door if are barics one day and the watch didn't challenged him just let him walk on thru he came back and chewed are CC asses and we got beat for about an hour. The next day the WO tried his shit again big mistake for him one of the biggest guys in the company was on watch and tackled his ass, lol good times
