They had a well known artist promote their Kickstarter. Unfortunately it was their first sponsor and overlooked many details. They backed out of it 2 days after though.

My theory is that they wanted to make Aimi-Chan a Vtuber but they didn't have enough funds to do so. So they try and create the scam known as Anime Tube and to use the kickstarter funds to create the Aimi-Chan Vtuber.
