The skate community really got blessed with Spot History with the Dern Brothers giving us 100% classic skate clips on these legendary spots and Thrashers "This Old Ledge" series for the historical facts on spots.
I appreciate the work yall put in on these. I've been in a wheelchair for a few years now and obviously can't skate anymore so these make my day when I see them
Destin is a beast and people don't give him enough credit for all the work he does. He didn't sleep for three days while working on this edit. He's a major player and is so incredibly talented. 💜
Dern brothers spot history vids keep getting better! The Andrew Reynolds interview was awesome to see & theres so many insane tricks down this spot! Super iconic spot!
I love skateboarding for the simple fact that your only competition is YOU! Except when playing skate. I an old school skater, watching your vids makes me feel young again. Thank you.
@@andrenemmais agreed, but it is a bit easier to grasp. Just remember 0 is freezing point instead of 32 degrees so you can usually estimate pretty close.
This might be the new best RUclips video of all time. Darby Allin cameo Andrew Reynolds chillin. Sw fs flip with a cig. Crazy shit pogo. Tricks I ain't seen Thrasher contest. Entertainment maximum good job.
As someone who grew up close to Atlanta, and currently living in the A for work. I definitely appreciate this video.. I remember growing up Ollie the 4 block was like a rite of passage for you are a solid skater if you could do it
Favourite skate channel right now. Been a minute since I seen any footage from Peter Ramondetta. I remember I skated his pro Circa shoe model over a decade ago. Time flies!
Oh man, I was hooked on skating those Circa 205's vulc. That was my favorite era of skate shoes. It just happened to be during the peak of the most active years of my skating.
Loved the extended ep and vlog-like feel. Was cool to have you guys + Tommy go over their tricks live at the spot instead of just over video call. Probably my favorite episode yet🤘🙏🤘
Glad this channel is finally getting the play it really deserves. Best skateboarding content on the tubes 100%. Glad you guys are really keeping the history alive.
@@joejoe2658 it's like 4-5 tricks max out of the 40+ they show, also if you're a skater or interested in skateboarding you've seen most if this stuff already
so many sick trick to go down at that spot. this was your best spot history yet, also awesome that reynolds was in it and gave the show props. hell yeah Dern Bros keep up the good work
The amount of work and research y’all do for these is insane. Much praise such a rad series. Spot suggestion one off since it’s technically a park but the big bank wall at Burnside would be sick!
That's a great idea. Burnside as a whole has made such an important impact on skateboardinging history. It tripped me out growing up skating in my hometown 1 ½ hr drive south of Portland.. Then once I was In my late 20's almost 30, I got to meet Red and skate with him. He is such a rad dude. He's now the dude that builds Dreamland skateparks.. It all started from someone seeing his talent and hard work with his DIY work at Burnside. *still trips me out to this day because I grew up playing THPS on N64 & never thought I'd interact with someone who played such a role when it comes to Burnside & now many other skateparks across the world
These are so fucking good. The time and energy spent is noticeable and appreciated. Yall are doing skateboarding a great service. Love the measurements! Thank you for going back!!
Soooooo many amazing tricks went down by so many legends! In my opinion Chaz Ortiz v heel was the one trick that looked absolutely effortless! Then Dashawn’s fakie 360 flip was next up! The way it was filmed it really was a piece of video art! Great job on the video guys! Keep doing what you’re doing and I really love these legendary spots explained for all the newer age of skaters! God bless!
Actually the best freakin skate series, soo detailed made from actual pro’s themselves, just sick how detailed and thorough this series is, keep it up boys!!!
I watched as it rained and yall hadn't measured yet....the real GOATS of skateboard come through and grab measurements despite the setback...lets go boys! Love this content so much!
This series is so fuckin sick. Thank you guys for all the hard work. Having the boss on was dope! Hearing that wild story was crazy. Lesson of the day - don’t fuck around at night at certain spots in Atlanta. Glad nobody was seriously injured.
Perfect episode for me - today is my birthday and I grew up in ATL before moving to Cali, hell yea! Smoke a blunt for my birthday and thank you Dern Bros, you guys are so on point with your content
Set it before when I say it again. You guys are pretty much. The main reason I started skating again After I'd say 17 years give or take appreciate this channel. So much you guys are insane. Need to see dalton skate more though!
Dude Destin my bro just bought that trio long sleeve tonight! I didn’t know I could love this channel more until I saw you rocking the trio… fucking mad ❤️
Being a volusia kid and watching daylando religiously that back 3 inspired me as a wee lad to go Ollie the 5 block and only had the confidence to do the 4 lol great video, good shit as usual!
Much respect for including everyone you can, truly amazing work! Anyone who gets excluded I'm sure they are trying their best but maybe doing a "For those we missed" video at the end of every month for those who got left out. Keep killing it !
This is super awesome! As one living on the other side of the world I really enjoy watching this. Thanks for the mesurements (and for adding meters). Keep up the good work - never stop doing theese 🙂
So crazy how much talent they have in one family. All 3 brothers rip but they have their very own unique style. They don't skate the same at All. Go dern bros you're looking it. I'm gonna be sure to share your vids with everyone and make them sub. You guys deserve it.
As an ATLien I’m glad the story of how dangerous this spot could be in the early 00’s was included. Every clip you see pre-2012 was before this area was a gentrified. What I’m saying is sometimes you feared what you might encounter more than failing whatever you were planning to try down this spot. These days? It’s like a stroll in Whole Foods but still plenty of distractions depending on the day.
Awesome video guy!! Y’all are great. If you guys ever get to NYC, the Brooklyn Banks would be a cool video. So many different spots to skate and soo much history. Keep pushing, amazing channel!!
Jeremiah Babb & Graham Bickerstaff = ATL LEGENDS..(btw Furby NOLLIE bigspin, not fakie)
You are right that was nollie! Thanks for the correction!
Furbys switch and nollie tricks were so good they always looked regular.
Catnip is another Big 4/ Big 5 legend. Trey did so much dope shit down the set.
Babbs and gbicks some legends
So we're just calling half cab flips front side flips now? No.

Yes! Just wish This Old Ledge videos were longer than 8 mins! lol!
A 49 min Spot History with Andrew Reynolds? Sign me the fuck up!
more please
hell ya!!!!
Okay you start Tuesday
ya that was amazing... Fkn eh

They got The Boss!! Dern Bros are killing it. Loving this series
nothing like this with mad soul
Show continues to be great, stoked you guys got reynolds for this one. I really enjoy the videos, keep up the good work!
Never heard of the dude.
Approval from the Boss! Dern Bros killing it!
Can't comprehend how you stuff so much radness into 1 calzone. sick. gratitude.
Yay! My neck of the woods. Justin Brock’s southern comfort part is still my favorite
entire video is amaaaazing. grew watching that video probably every single day
Kudos to Destin for the work. I love how this one is deep with the Homies getting the shoutouts. Great stuff guys.

I always liked the fact that you guys add the meters as well something we (Europeans) don't see Americans do very often so we appreciate that
Cross multiply oka cross out labels to convert, arithmetic maths bruv
Same could be said about Europeans not adding feet, hell dont get me started on Kilograms and i still dont know wtf a Stone is. 🙃
