Funny how people from these neighborhoods don’t trust people telling them what to do, but will trust those opinions saying “no one will want to live here” and forgo and effort to increase the value. I’m glad this lady figured it out, which really isn’t difficult at all. Like she said, if you can deal with the BS in drug dealing then you can definitely deal with the BS in real estate or any other legal hustle.
Its not that people don't want to live there, they just don't want to live near crazy, aggressive, Deceitful, entitled, loud, destructive, emotionally manipulative, downtalkers, disrespectful people.
The thing is in philly there are several abandoned properties either owned by absentee owners of the city. So whole the imventory is there it is still a quiet kept secret as to how to get these properties aside from the traditional cold calling method
Well hopefully she can explain the value in buying a home instead of renting and that gentrification of an area is helpful to all the homeowners in the gentrification area. Thats what happened in South Philly. Thats no dig on this women because she clearly rode the wave of capitalism and good for her. She did have to pay to fix these places up and modernized them. Gentrification didn't do that part, but all of you people renting from her are helping to make her a millionaire but since you are renting from her your not investing in equity for yourself. Your just giving her your money
@@wg5717 your correct and im not trying to say there isn't a valuable transaction happening when you pay your rent. But what I mean is that when you buy a house and pay your mortgage payment each month it more like putting money in the bank at the end of that 20-30 year mortgage loan. All of the value of that house is yours. You can also pass it on to family when you die and then each generation of your family can grow a little more wealth and pass it on and so on so on. When your paying rent your paying someone else's mortgage and that wealth never comes back to you and you can't pass it on. Then ever generation starts at square 1... I rent but my goal is to save up for a fixer upper starter house
Man I wish I could sit down with her for about an hour a lot of her processes things I have been thinking about lately with a few other things we need people like her the hood is only going to be the hood if we keep it being the hood stop holding ourselves back
Think for self. Who can tell another if you research and educate yourself... many people listen like the days of old...people let others make them feel shame.... That's why gentrification happens so easily...the one has to turn into 2 then three... together fix your community up and hold on to it! Nothing is impossible...start small... feed the community but what you have together and rise...Rise...RISE! Stop waiting for someone else to pull you up...been waiting for that for 400 years...pray but do the work!! Your own neighborhood is the source of great strength.. clean it up! Paint it up...buy one home at a time! Own your community... remember that food you are good at preparing? Remember them vehicles you can repair? Remember those clothes you can wash, and reuse...40 acres is our collective minds, the mule is our collective bodies.... one person cannot do it but the strength and working together can raise up the communities. Lest you lose it...this is 2024...not 1824. No its not easy...
White male supremacist here. 😆 Dear Lady. You go girl as they say. You should be going into schools that have business classes and teaching the youth of this country. They unfortunately have the wrong mentors and need someone with your mindset. The best of luck with your future. Philly is lucky to have you. Many blessings to you.
That’s all you got from that 3 minutes video. No motivation, inspiration, knowledge, or wisdom. It is about “GROWTH.” We are not going back!!! #HateOrLoveIt
Beautiful story. I wish her further success. Her personal success creates better neighborhoods so it's truly a win win.
Remember someone is gonna have to live there no matter how bad the neighborhood
Awesome!! This investor needs to create curriculums for schools. Start the mindset while they're young!!!
She is right!!! All these houses in the hood are worth money!!!! The ghetto just needs to be fixed up!!!! It's a Gold mine!!!! Wake up people
Wow 🤩 finally a positive story from the news

They not just giving her their money. It's an exchange, like anything else.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It would really be "for the community" if it was about helping those renters buy the homes instead of her 👀👀👀
What makes you so sure those renters even want to buy an assume the responsibility of ownership?
@@wg5717 what the fuck makes you assume everyone wants to rent???
