@@nathan-lu5ir I have the dinghy and I'd say I'm an intermediate rider. I haven't tried the tugboat but I think it has a more mild concave which I'd recommend if you're not going to slide or bomb a few hills because the concave on the dinghy can be a bit uncomfortable and it can aggravate flat feet. P.s. to avoid flat feet you can place your pushing foot on the indent between the tail and the rest of the board
You missed that this is a different model to the standard Dinghy. The "Shape 9" board that you have is 0.5" wider and the wheelbase is also 0.5" longer. From the Landyachtz site: "A slight variation on the Dinghy shape that we’ve come to refer to as “Shape 9″, this board is 28.5″ long and 8.5” wide. The most noticeable features are the distinctively squared off nose and extra-wide tail. This shape performs similarly to the classic Dinghy but the unique shape is sure to draw its share of attention."
It's an old-school modern style board essential. Got pop at the front and back, it's wide, but it's got the old-school narrow style trucks and fish-shape. I just upgraded from a GFH Board, only thing is got Bronson Shieldless Bearings for it, love those bearings
I'm about to get a ATV too.IM coming from longboarding.I like cruising but I want to learn tricks too.I just hope it doesn't take so long for me to get this
Thank you for the review! Would love to see an update after a while and some actual footage of you riding it! You were talking about maybe putting different wheels on it-I’m curious what you have in mind? Kind regards from Amsterdam
@@Kayla-en1oh I would recommend for sure. The wheels make riding it super smooth and fun. I got it for going to work. If you are more inclined to do tricks maybe a regular skateboard would be a better fit. You can do tricks on the dinghy too tho.

tighten the wheels (but not too much, make sure they can wiggle just the smallest amount) and the kingpin and the bolts. get some Bones Speed Cream for your bearings
I remember that cushioned grip tape. I know what you mean about it making a difference. I just bought a brand new dinghy, just waiting for it to arrive!!
Lucas Marshall hell yeah bro I’m still seeing what color I should get. Also bro is a cruiser good for someone who’s never skated? Or should I get a regular skate board. I would mainly use it for cruising but I also wanna learn tricks
Barry Allen if you’ve never skated, and want to do tricks, get a regular skateboard. If you’re looking to not do tricks, get a longboard or cruiser. I personally like cruisers better than longboards, but that’s up to you. Yes, you can do tricks on a cruiser, but it’ll be harder to do it.
Hey, great review, but I have one concern about it. Got my board recently and when I’m standing on it and leaning back or forth, the wheels or trucks have a clicking sound. What’s that mean?
Thanks for the video man!! You’re right -there really isn’t many reviews on the dinghy out there, so this helps me out a lot. I’m torn between the dinghy and the Arbor “pocket rocket” bamboo...
I'd say spend the extra money and go with the Landyachtz dinghy just bc the larger wheel size will probably allow for smoother riding experience. But it all just depends on your riding style honestly.
Hey I just bought the same board and the trucks are super squeaky and it’s pretty annoying. Just wondering if the same thing happened to you at the beginning and did it go away or how did you fix it if it did? Anyway thanks for the review!
Hey man, nice vid. I def want to see a vid of you riding it around and just sort of reviewing that particular ride throughout. I just bought a longer board from them for some downhill riding but a Dinghy seems to be more appropriate for cruising around the city and stuff, and a riding review might seal the deal for me.
what about the wheels do you not like? i’m trying to decide which one i want to buy; i already have a regular board and i want something to just cruise on
i have the all black embossed owl board awhile ago and its a very nice board. i would definitely recommend it. i cant think of another brand for short cruisers that i would buy over them. i am just waiting for a restock to get another.
I loved this review. This was the Board that I was planning to get so this review was really helpful. Please do an update in the future telling how the board held up with some footage of you riding it as well. Thanks!
Would this be a good board for a beginner? I’m a bit concerned with how narrow the trucks are (105mm). Do you think that would be too unstable for a first time skater? Thanks!
Thinking of getting one for my first board. I just want to cruise around, not really looking to do tricks and such so that’s why I wanted a cruiser. What do you think?
I think it was just the surf-skate boards that came with the cushioned tape. Due to the surfers riding without shoes. I have the Landyachtz Ripper. Great board.
I'm not going to put many stickers on my board so what do you recommend...The Dinghy Tigor ,Dinghy Adventure Skeleton or The one you have. Please Reply. And thanks for the review.😁
Good video dude, how are you finding the board? I looked at these but went for a Loaded Coyote for the 17.5” wheelbase and a bit more stability. Was that wind on your mic or something?
0gami1tto yea I actually forgot to turn off my ceiling van in this video and it actually turned out to be my most viewed video LOL but I actually really like mine I've been riding it almost every night since I made this vid and it's super nice. Hello man, nice video. I wanted to know if the dinghy ditch life with like, the wave on the back of the board still exist or is still for sales, I can't find one and that's literally my favorite, i dont see myself buying another one, thank you in advance !
Quick question, I'm a beginner and I was looking into getting a cruiser board. Would you recommend a complete like this or going to a skate shop to pick out the parts and such, taking into consideration the price in the end. Thanks
I recocmend getting a complete, everything will be setup for you and you can adjust the trucks to your comfort. The classic dinghy is an amazing beginner board I recocmend it or any other basic cruiser. Best of luck to you, friend
I got off the landyachtz website but other skate shops sell it as well! Just make sure the trucks and wheels are the same that are on the one being sold on the landyachtz website. Some skate shops will put on cheaper wheels and trucks to lower the price!
i got mine off of action board shop and i just ordered it recently but i’m gonna go check tysm! mine was the same price as them on landyachtz so hopefully they’re the same
I’ve been riding a penny nickel for like 3 or 4 years and picked my dinghy up today. I noticed that if I lean even a little the board will turn so quick and wheels will lift off the ground. When I tighten the trucks the bushing look like they’re about to pop out. Anyone have thoughts. I can carve on the nickel really well but maybe I just suck idk lol.
you guys need to buy better bushings. I bought for my dinghy harder bushings from riptide, because the bushings that the board comes with are really crap. Look it up at reddit if you need some advices.
There are quite a lack of reviews of these awesome boards. But I went ahead and got the meowjiuana! I was looking for a board like a long board I could still do decent tricks on to get back into skating. I have not gone a day without skating since I’ve gotten it. I did immediately think to tighten the trucks but I didn’t have a tool and forgot since I just need it tight for tricks. It’s a sick carver, really responsive. I’ve learned to better balance for ollies and bombing hills. I’ll definitely eventually get new bearings. But the speed balls aren’t bad So I’m going to wear it down first. I ordered mine during covid... but I used amazon prime, haha, so I got it in a week.
Sick review! I am getting my dinghy relay in the mail tomorrow. Only took a day to ship but I live in Vancouver where they are located pretty sure. tempted to do a review only because there are none but It wouldn't really be a good review haha 😅😅

do the 105 trucks feel narrow on this one? I'm debating buying the deck and 130mm trucks separately instead of running the 105mm it comes with.
Is this board good to do trick as well ?? Ty I’m debating getting this one
Or the dinghy blunt
I ended up going for an ATV perfecto bang bang. Hoping I'll like the extra pop it should get from the multi composite deck and kick tails.

Landyachtz for sure
