So good. Love it.
Thank you, Misty!!
Oh my gosh, Damon, I miss taking classes from you! You still are amongst the teachers with the most clarity of instruction for detailed technique! Thanks for the video!
Lorne Jensen ,thanks for the huge compliment. I miss my Canadian dance family.
We miss you too!!!
Thank you so much!!! I only have 6 classes under my belt, and I've been doing all the things you mentioned were wrong. This is so helpful.
Glad to hear it! Feel free to ask any questions.
Thank you for this video - I personally find great clarity in your explanations!
May I ask for an explanation in something not directly addressed here, or another video about it would be great: Somehow I've never come across anyone explaining why leaders turn the leading hand slightly in the direction of the follower's next stepping foot (on the 1, 2 of the pattern). Examples here at 1m42 and 4.17. I mean, at times it seems to make sense but with basic patterns I don't quite get it? A principle guideline would be much appreciated. All the best! Max
Max Guadagnino, thank you for watching! I believe you're referring to a prepping action. it should only occur on patterns where the follower will rotate. in the first example you mentioned the follower is being prepped to spin left, therfore the prep is happening between 1 and 2. In the second example the follower is being prepped to turn right do the prep happens just prior to 1. I hope this helps. let me know if I answered your question.
Thank you for your explanation, Damon - I get it now. Looking forward to your next video on WCS!
I have appraised this lesson at $2400-$2800 at auction. 🎁wcs-roadshow
