One of the cars I'm looking at next! I once had a 2002 Sonata that drove great and sometimes people would mistake it for a Jaguar!. Thanks for the review, keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one.
I’m starting to like Hyundai more than Honda and Toyota now.
DSTY they just need to release some coupes other than the genesis. A Sonorta or Electra coupe would be sick
Good luck with that lol
@@2001COUPE A woman manged to go for a million miles on the original powertrain on her 2013 Hyundai Elantra. Many people also said their newer Hyundais and Kias have been great cars. Heck, even the Beta 2 engine from the 2001 Elantra was a very reliable engine. Dumb hyundai and kia haters are still thinking those two brands are junk when they are most certainly not.
I totally agree with you!
@@metrosb2593 Fingers crossed something will happen.
This thing is literally a remote control real world car! That is something else man
The steering wheel reminds me of a 1990’s Buick Lesabre. I’m looking forward to the N version. I might buy it!
I think you may be right! ;-)
I was going to purchase the 2020 accord next upcoming year, but now I'm going to wait for the hyundai! Looks gorgeous😍!!! Great review! 👍
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSS this over the Accord Anyday Hyndai out did themselves love.love.love.🤤🤤🤤🤤🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲... Right color and interior
Jun Dollasbe and definitely over that overrated Camry any day .
It really pops!
@@dannybishop68 AGREED!
Too bad it’s gonna spend a lot of time in the dealer lol

I bought my 2020 Hampton Grey Limited. Absolutely love it especially for the cost. Great warranty and 3 years of blue link is awesome! I have leased a new vehicle before but this one made me want to buy new for the first time ever. Plus Hyundai's 1.9 percent interest rate is a thumbs up!
"I like what you said about the black front paint fading over time...👍👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one!
I have a 2011 Elantra. I told myself I didn't want to buy another Hyundai. This new Sonata is DOPE!
I am so glad that you liked this one!
This is actually a really good car people with nice driving control features . you will probably never get pulled over with these features. and all the vital car parts are easily accessible in the hood. Witch means repairs and long car life and cheaper!
this is a great car design. and the engine will last. this is a 10/10 car and once people start spreading the word these will sell like hotcakes and I foresee the company making different sporty versions. And look at that engine! that's a mechanics dream engine. No tight corners , everything spaced out and well placed.
Omg… to be on a design team to sort out details would be awesome 🤩
*Hyundai and Kia really got they foots on all the other mid size cars necks. Its a really great looking car, inside and out!*
You are so very right Jarvis!
The one thing that kills me with this is no heated rear seats. They used to be offered on the older sonatas, what happened?
They had to cut something.
It actually said on the website, when you asked the Sonata bot, that it would have heated rear seats, guess they lied about that haha.
Nice job Joe Raiti.....I'm glad sedans are not being treated like unwanted step-children by ALL the car makers. If you try to explain to the average car-buyer why sedans drive and handle better than crossovers or pickups they just give you a blank stare! I love my coupes and sedans! Mazda, Honda, Hyundai, and even Toyota have really classed up the segment....from both a styling and performance standpoint.
I totally agree with you Alan! Thank you for the compliment!
I'm glad the dual blindspot cameras trickled down from the KIA K900. I'm excited for the N Trim or the KIA Optima GT.
I totally agree with you!
Every bit of the sonata is lite!!!! Except for the dual exhaust.. we should be seeing the D.E for the turbo specs... and the sister KIA Optima has it,and I guess it will make alot of people go for the Optima
I am so glad that you liked this one.
This car as a coupe would look amazing
AGREED!
Drove this and Accord......Sonata looks handsome but Accord feels way more refined.
That would be...because it is..😉
Thank you for posting this! I’m getting a car in a week and I was thinking this
You are so very welcome Jeremiah! Let me know how it goes!
Dagnabbit, I need a car that can fit 13 Twinkies in the center console. Too bad, it’s a really nice car otherwise. Good on you for being one of the first to show it to us, Joe!
Thanks Cameron for letting me share some laughs with you! I appreciate the compliment. You guys deserve the best!
Can't believe I'm rewatching your older videos 😂
Thanks for doing that! I really appreciate the support!
You are the best reviewer... Good luck
The rear has a mix of a Lincoln MkZ and a Honda Civic.
I totally see it! Good eyes!
Good call. I was thinking the same. Lightbar aside, the tail light is a rip off of the current generation Civic's. As Raiti would say "zonk" that!
@@CalQaida Rip off lol, yeah then CRVs and Civics and Accords all have ripped off Volvo's taillight.
deephouse O this is a pretty bad rip off of the civics taillights the CRV or Accord don’t look like Volvo’s
@@f181234 look it up, CRV's taillights are blatant RIP OFF of Volvo SUVs, Accord's taillights also remind me of Volvo S90's taillights. My point is everyone's borrowing some elements from each other on car designs but you guys here relentlessly looking to flaw Hyundai/Kia is plain pitiful.
That person (the Jerk) was you! Love the review! Take care Joe. Triple.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Finally sonata is here !!!!
I hope it was worth the wait!
@@RaitisRides absolutely... Don't you know how amazing you are..!!
The new Kia Optima is revealed. It's amazing. Sonata and Optima are... just impressive.
I love a simple dashboard.
I bought my 2020 Sonata after seeing your review! I have the SEL convenience package trim. I previously had a 2011 Accent and wanted an upgrade. The Sonata is amazing and it looks good! Thanks, Mr. Raiti!
Great Review I realize these was at dealerships when I saw one last week and I had freak out even though I’m 13 I would buy this car right now I would buy and SEL Plus with some type of tech package that gives you that big touchscreen and Panoramic Sunroof.
Cuz you don't know about car
Jankuba Kromah I do know about cars I didn’t realize what package it was I edited it so that help.
It really is a class stand out!
Not gonna lie just picked up a 2021 Hyundai Sonata SEL and I’m being very honest best bang for your buck..my first car and my gosh was it a banger got the portofino gray color and it stands out wherever you go. Definitely a good purchase and can’t go wrong with a sonata if your looking into it
Wow I’m surprised I didn’t know that this was out yet I’m still waiting for the new Optima GT to possibly replace my 2015 Optima sxl
The regular new Optima has just been released in Korea. Looks wicked!! Gonna have to wait a little more for the GT version though.
Optima won't be until 2021.
@@johnholst It does look fantastic.
Thanks so much, I once doubted the Hyundai but now I’m looking at it like mmmm I like it and the price point, I’m all there.
Been waiting for you to make a video on this car! The front looks horrible but I might still get it or maybe save up a little for a Audi A8
You have to see it in person!
I don't know what to say! That's a Hyundai? My mind's blown! I wanna know how Honda accord owners feel about this Hyundai Sonata,The fact that different engine options will be available, plus all these features the car comes with and stunts it performs,Hyundai are really changing the rules here!,Everybody has to step up their game or get kicked to the curb!
They have outdone themselves!👍👍
Very good points! I appreciate you watching!
5:38 best angle of this car in my opinion
And I noticed that front DRL's hook shape theme is carried over to the door panel and gear selector
I totally agree with you!
17:04 The security guard trying to push his broken down golf cart is the best part of this video 🤣😂
I was wondering if anyone was going to notice that! LOL
The tail light looks close to the civic tail light Overall it’s not bad looks
You are so right! I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery!
Been waiting for your review on this car
Thanks Alex! I hope it was worth the wait!
Hyunday is moving ahead very strong...
A have a 2019 2,4 Santa Fé, 8 speed trabsmition, basic trim.... Simply the best space/efficiency/style medium size SUV your money can buy.. forget the best selling Honda CR-V , gran cherokee and everithing else... making it clear that engine power is out of this equation.....
If you make a comparison with the best selling Honda... the Santa Fé is the best !!
Def looks like an Aston from the front. Honda messed up by steering away from the mirror cameras. The orange lights are not as good as an actual camera.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective on this one!
2.5 turbo coming soon hopefully 👀🎯🔥💯
Sir yes sir!
Yes it is... the N-line has been announced with 275hp! May be a few months out but should be worth the wait!
@@Bill.K over 300 actually
@@levaranoia I read that it would be at least 275hp... hopefully you're right!
The 2.0 t from a few years back had 274 so lets hope it has over 300 hp or tq
Now this is a future sonata
I could do without the Honda Civic taillights
Not just tail lights, the whole fast back style is a Honda rip off. Sorry, I am a 18 Civic sedan owner and Honda fan. The front looks like a turtle Taurus from the late 90's.
@@danielwalter6423 looks like a catfish up front. The rear looks so much better than the Honda civic.
Love watching new sonata.. It looks so nice
The taillights kind of remind me of a civics.
You are not the first to say that! I guess imitation must be the greatest form of flattery.
Love your Reviews!!! Good Detail Seriously considering this car!!!!
Thanks Jordan for saying that! This car is really great!
