Man this thing is wild, I’m glad companies are recognising the level that you guys are going to and want to be a part of it. Doing great things for reef keeping as a community, once this is up and running I think it will bring a lot of people into the hobby.
Love the straightforward approach to your videos and appreciate your honest photography with details about how you photograph (with links). I absolutely LOVE your rain collection/geo/cooling system. I am a HVAC specialist/nerd/ocd/researcher. The upfront cost/design is daunting but well worth it. I have a rain collection system with solar to power irrigation for my gardens and backup a 600 amp/hr AGm for my aquarium. Keep it up. Congrats on innovating the industry. I will buy from you soon.
Loved the 9,000 IQ remark and the self-depracating stupidity follow up. Everything looks top shelf. From what I can see the whole operation, top to bottom, is next level. I've bought everything from acros to zoas from you guys and have been pleased with all the products and services. Keep up the great work and show us more as it progresses.
My Name is Nobody why is it your concern how I spend my money? I didn’t get into reefing because it’s a cheap hobby, and don’t mind supporting a company that provides first rate products and services.
University Tidal Gardens is expanding nicely. Nice to see you go with Orphek and GHL. That Tang looks so small in the 300g show tank. Them stands looks clean and stable. Its great to know how the cooling is holding up for your current volume of water. Thanks again Professor Than! Stay Reefing! Rigoberto Rodriguez III
Thank you Than. Like always a thoroughly interesting video. I must say, i'm very excited about Tidal Gardens progress and success. I'm a sound believer in Tidal Gardens...and i'm hooked.
Brutal 90 degree weeks. X-D Consider yourself lucky, friend! Thanks for the video. Lots of great stuff in here and your new building is looking ridiculously nice.
Honestly bless your heart, your prices are out of this world that it makes me jump for joy. Coral frags are atleast $65-$100 in my local fish shops yet you have a beginner set of 4 for $65 ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
Do you have any balancing valves on the system? I couldn’t help but notice you have an ECM pump with a radiant manifold style headers and zone valves but no way of ensuring that the system is balanced and evenly distributing the flow rate through the different zones when they’re all open.
we've been fans for a while and have been watching this new facility come together - absolutely stunning! Thanks for the short, surprise product review at 10:25. Didn't expect that and very excited that you have discovered the Random Flow Generator® Nozzle for yourself. You mentioned you would like to see a 1.25 or 1.5in RFG and we do in fact already have these. Talk to Steve at Aqua-crylic - he has access to the entire line. Also, please feel free to reach out to us and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
@Tidal Gardens, this might not be something up your alley. But a very shallow tank, maximum 12-15 inches of water depth. Dense with rocks in the centre region and to the glass and intense water flow. Open water space on both ends for creating aggressive wave patterns. Then focus on fish that may enjoy these type of... Coastal aggressive waves. With potential tide pools on top.
Who built the tanks that are in your new coral farm building? On the 80/20 website in the shop section which exactly am I looking for to build a reef tank stand. Also who built your new tanks?
Congratulations for the amazing channel! Please, I’ve noticed that the previous 80/20 extruded aluminum profiles are smaller, which 80/20 profile do you use? Thanks!
With the Orpheks it's a great idea to have spotlights up there - I like a big space above the aquarium so looking forward to that. So excited to see you go with GHL - I am thinking more and more that I should get the KH Director (don't need a controller) - I am really waiting for Seneye Coral (that measures KH) and that has some advantages but I think the GHL works out a tiny bit cheaper if I am only dosing 1 part as it has a spare doser. Everything looks great - wish I knew of Al stand manufacturers in Europe that want to help reefers - seriously there are so many of us that would love one of those stands - especially with wheels ;)
Best bet is to talk to them about the design you want. It is going to depend a lot on the profile thickness and all the little details. Two stands the same size could be far off in price, like almost double depending on the design choices.
I am looking to build my stand and want to use the leveling casters as well. How are they for stability and what brand did you end up using? Thanks for all the great videos and I definitely plan on coming to the new facility to see it all in person.
Really? I guess thats your favourite🤷♂️. Ive had dinner plate sizes of both varieties and i have to say they are almost last on my list. It's amazing though that there is so much beauty in these animals that everyone finds their favourites in something different. What a wonderful hobby!
Are the frag tanks running only with "water" ? I don't see substrate, rocks, ceramic media. Is a setup with more bacteria surface better for tank mixed with fish/corals and a setup more clean and inert better to a propagation system ? Did you have to cycle your frag tanks ?
I would like one of those "industrial" stands in my home, for my new 250 gallon.. But here in Norway, thats kind of hard to get by such things, and if you do it's not affordable for normal people here..
sorry for this. i am a bit ocd. so, 7:47 the paint stain under the beam on the left (where you pointed finger at) is kind of bugging me. since the building is so clean and tidy. this stain is killing me. btw, i love how you plumbed your outflow.
We decided to do the touchup paint once everything is done otherwise more and more things would need touchup later. There are a lot of little dings and scuff here and there. This place is still very much an active construction site.
Aluminum oxidizes and gets this chalky white coat on it (aluminum oxide) that prevents further oxidation. Powder coating the stands would further protect them, but we are pretty quick to wipe up spills here.
Fantastic update....love the new tidal gardens coral farm and cant wait to see how it all matures.
I called and got a quote on a 6’x2’ stand 36” high. I was very pleased with the response and the price. Thanks for all your video content.
Great to hear!
You have created an art gallery. Absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much 😀
Magnifique ferme, BRAVO TIDAL GARDEN !!!👏👏👏
Thank you!
always love seeing the updates on how everything is progressing.
Those new stands look so clean. Can't wait to see those show tanks progress!
Thank you! Getting more done every day!
Look at that ceiling with the lights hitting it..giving me a semi lol absoulty flawless man 👌💪
😂😂😂

Looking amazing Than. The sheer potential of all that tankage for coral is exciting!
I think so too!
very cool
Coming along nicely (as always!) keep the updates rolling.
🙏🏻Thanks for the update. You’re coming along real nice. Can’t wait to see those show tanks getting stocked.🙂
You and me both!
Great episode as always. Love to see updates on your new facility. On my bucket list to visit you once you're fully up an running!
Great update Than. I really like the aluminum stands as they’re very durable and strong. I use the 80/20 for my light rack 🙂
I'm a big fan of them as well. I can see using them for a bunch of other projects around here.
Tidal Gardens exactly plus they have an aesthetic look to them 👍

In my case in completely the opposite lol
Everything is looking awesome can't wait to see all done !
Done is going to take a long time yet, but we are planning to wrap up some big milestones in the next month or so.
I love your garden, if I'm ever in the US I have to see it with my own eyes!
Thank you! More and more progress gets done every day.
Amazing update Than..This is such a beautiful system...Great progress..
Thank you!

Solid company for sure!

Glad to see for once a high profile reefing channel showcasing something other than Radion + Apex as the status quo. Looking forward to the outcome.
Fun Tidal Gardens !!!
This is phenomenal. I can not wait.
Great as it is. Going out my mind. But
Thank You
Coming along great and love the scape
man.. I would love to come visit your farm. It looks great
Maybe one day!
Wow that's upscale! I guess that explains the higher price tag on corals. Still very nice!
Im glad you went with ghl. Its very under rated.
Here in Mexico, many people found that the light diffuser reduces the power and the PAR of the lamps

Thanks for the suggestion!
Looking great so far. I have had similar experience with those inductor nozzles. Printed my own though.
Im in Springboro love your videos!
Hey Than where did you get those 5 way fittings for your closed loop system For you return ?
Kessil has some lights you can mount that high. Brs just did a video on them crazy mounting height. Should check them out.
Looking great!
Thanks!
Who built the tanks that are in your new coral farm building? On the 80/20 website in the shop section which exactly am I looking for to build a reef tank stand. Also who built your new tanks?
Seems as though a lot of nice progress has been made.
Congratulations for the amazing channel! Please, I’ve noticed that the previous 80/20 extruded aluminum profiles are smaller, which 80/20 profile do you use? Thanks!
Great update. What are you putting between the Alufab stands and your tanks?
What's your power consumption for the lighting and pumps? I'm curious if solar in a sunny location could cover the needs.
With the Orpheks it's a great idea to have spotlights up there - I like a big space above the aquarium so looking forward to that. I live here in Cincinnati and am curious about the Alufabinc.com pricing. Whats ballpark price for one of those stands you had them make?
Best bet is to talk to them about the design you want. It is going to depend a lot on the profile thickness and all the little details. Two stands the same size could be far off in price, like almost double depending on the design choices.
Great mangrove tank idea...man I would love to work on the maintenance and equipment operations crew here. Cool systems all around
Thanks 👍

The brand you want is Footmaster and they are incredibly solid. You can get them to where each one can hold 3300 lbs if you wanted: amzn.to/3gabWKt
@@tidalgardens Thank you so much so many look alike I didn't to end up with something wobbled when the feet were lowered or worse failed.
Looks amazing! I'm buying that lfs today. Ill ne making an order for the 50 frag deal soon!
Great video! One question how made your tanks?
Reef savvy made the tanks you see here.
And here I am tring to keep a 80 gallon tank up and running 🙂
Good luck!
It would be nice if it was possible to show when you fill it up ( the aquarium that are close to get hooked up to the system) nice update tho thx 👍
Definitely need a desjardinii Sailfin in the show tank
Really? I guess thats your favourite🤷♂️. Ive had dinner plate sizes of both varieties and i have to say they are almost last on my list. It's amazing though that there is so much beauty in these animals that everyone finds their favourites in something different. What a wonderful hobby!
If you keep the vca's parallel to the bottom of the tank they dont draw air through the back as much.
Are the frag tanks running only with "water" ? I don't see substrate, rocks, ceramic media. Is a setup with more bacteria surface better for tank mixed with fish/corals and a setup more clean and inert better to a propagation system ? Did you have to cycle your frag tanks ?
you must be new here
There are media bricks in the sump but minimal rock in the tanks.
Awesome 😎
Thanks 🤗
You're definetly on my bucket list, when I visit the lakes next time. When do you expand your business to Germany? 😉
Maybe one day!
I would like one of those "industrial" stands in my home, for my new 250 gallon.. But here in Norway, thats kind of hard to get by such things, and if you do it's not affordable for normal people here..
I want to know where you buy the show and frag tanks? Looks amazing!
The ones we have up and running came from Reef Savvy.
@@tidalgardens damn I was hoping it was another company that was less expensive so I don't need another mortgage on my house.
Are coral frags really funding all this? That seems crazy
Hi looking awesome, how deep are your tanks, 12inch?, thanks
The total height is 15" so the inside height is about 13.5".
@@tidalgardens Nice, Thanks

@@tidalgardens i can live in this construction site. i can help feed the fish.
Check out the new spotlight kessles they would work great for your peninsula
The Orphek Amazonas units are similar. They are mostly used in public aquariums where they get mounted up high and spotlight down.
Yea I'd put a bunch of orphik panels above that peninsula tank...mounted to the beams
The fixtures I am getting are their Amazonas units. They are usually made for public aquariums where lights are mounted up high.
Be interesting to see how the corals do under those compared to the radions..
I need the glitter goni!
It is very nice!
Tidal Gardens when will it be available again?
Than, are you going to open a farm in Toronto, Canada? Please.....:)
I've never been to Toronto but I hear good things.
Who made these tanks?
Reef Savvy made the 10 aquariums you see in this video.
How well does aluminum do when exposed to salt water?
It almost never corrodes. At least not under these circumstances
Aluminum oxidizes and gets this chalky white coat on it (aluminum oxide) that prevents further oxidation. Powder coating the stands would further protect them, but we are pretty quick to wipe up spills here.
Do you sell wholesale?
We are retail only.
Hearing these gallon sizes combined with my living in California makes me cringe at the thought of water bill
