dner75 dude, it's *HIS* podcast. It's literally the only time it's permissible to be self-indulgent. Again, it's *his* show -- not something he's paid to do by a corporation or radio station, and ESPECIALLY NOT *YOUR* show. Besides, you're watching/listening on RUclips anyway. STFU already.
@@dner75-xh9le Love the bullshit part. I could listen to an entire podcast with it. It's like his "stand-up in between talk" aka a mix of playful thoughts, word poetry and daily insights. I'd pay money to listen to it on a theater stage. Sometimes I even get disappointed when the interview starts since the interview is to shallow compared to his thoughts.
1:11:31 bill's missing out, Tom Lehrer is awesome, poisoning pigeons in the park, The masochism tango, I hold your hand in mine, pollution, etc. He is also the guy that wrote the elements song.
really enjoyed this; the real story all about what it's like to break out as a comedian, living in LA, being a creative force. Nice interview! BH is my fav celeb. These people really made my decade a garden, comedy I always look forward to. I'm looking up Papa Zedda Zoidy
Weird how I can’t get the norm interview with hader I loved that one, Whytf is it pulled? So funny, All the norm podcast interviews are great that hader one i watched many times over.
any chance Marc has ever gotten to go into what it's like to work with Lorne in any capacity, for any reason... i live for those moments. even if it's at a time after the interviews (plural) he did WITH Lorne.
13:42 #BillHader retires from SNL, moves back out to LA, then goes right back to NYC because he gets cast in Judd's Trainwreck. He said he was finally getting to see NYC, because for 8 yrs he was either working his ass off at SNL, or sleeping. He said he didn't know where this famous Flatiron Building was until he went back for the movie. :D
I mean, I like Bill Hader but not enough to watch this many interviews with him, but the algorithm keeps giving me more, so here I am just validating the algorithm again. Could be worse I guess.
I wonder in the decade since this interview took place if Bill Hader is still humble and doesnt have a huge ego and he hasnt changed into an a hole like Jeremy Piven
This is driving me crazy, My name is Ryan Shukis. Bill said the talent casting director to SNL is Linsay Shukis. He said Shukis right. Like am I related to her? I've gotta find out.
Good Lord I could not sit through this. Marc wasn't funny or interesting for the first 13 minutes and when Bill Hader finally came on it was Marc talking 95% of the time. Also Chicago is not an improv city, it's also known for standup and theater. Most of Second City is basically a low key version of SNL, 95% sketches and 5% improv. Extremely redundant and dull intro, it's too bad because Bill Hader is a joy to listen to and the host completely ruined it
Mark Maron is a fantastic standup and somehow relaxes guests much better than most podcasters. I'm from Chicago and was always proud of how many improv actors made it to SNL. It sort of is an improv town.
You're not wrong.. but I do find that guests usually actually seem to like him and they act like themselves which makes for a good interview, you just gotta learn to ignore his voice haha
Bill Hader starts at 13:40 ish
Needs to be top comment.
THANX K E!
Nice 😊

I love how every Maron upload has someone with the foresight to give the timestamp to bypass his self-indulgent bullshit. Thank you.

It seriously amazes me that anyone could listen to him talk by himself, its nauseating how dull it is, he's a nice guy but good lord is he boring
I don’t care about him being self indulgent. I love him. But I still appreciate the time stamp lol
Taking a job as the fourth writer on South Park just to stay sharp. That's how good Hader is.
45:30 story about Marty Kove from Karate Kid. Great story!!
hysterical! such a savage 😬🤣
Marc does the best interviews..I listen to them when I am painting. Bill Hader is so great.
Just listening to the story of his SNL audition process stresses me out, can't imagine what it must have been like to live it...
Fantastic interview with two incredible comedic minds!
The real deal begins at 13:40,....
I would seek out Bills approval then I would scoff at his judgement.

Funny! “How long till you got stuff on?” “Oh, Stefan? That was years!”
My dad is Gaillard Sartain that’s so cool Bill thought it was funny! Bill is hilarious
You are doing Gods’ work
I agree: You GOTTA see 'ZARDOZ'. "The gun is good! The penis is evil!"
slowly, but surely, youtube is turning into an audio platform.
I don’t know, I should get it checked for sure
Who doesn't love Bill Hader?
I love him!

Albuquerque to Mile High Stadium! I-25 all the way.
Albuquerque is a mile high, too. :)
Bob Odenkirk was in Purple Violets, with Billy!!
Mile high stadium is in Denver co.

William Alarie you’re like the only person who’s ever said anything positive about Marc in these comments sections
WOW. This show. WOW those ads. Make that money! Keep that shit funny!!

25:37 how the fuck did he make that sound
Bill is starting to sound like Jim Gaffigan.
Two people living in LA talking about traffic jam, perfect way to end that interview lmao
I love the movie brothers Solomon. Think that’s how I fell in love with hader
Wow, he could do a great Kelsey Grammar!
I mean, I like Bill Hader but not enough to watch this many interviews with him, but the algorithm keeps giving me more, so here I am just validating the algorithm again. Could be worse I guess.
Haders the shit;-)

did I...?
SNL is laugh life! 😽✌️😷🚀

Good lord Marc, let the man talk
Carlos Diaz I've made the same comment on about ten of these interviews. He has the best guests but won't give them room to breathe
Yeah, Marc gets...excited. :D
Kidding me? That was a great interview/conversation. In that order.

Marc Maron; so self-centered.
I legit hate Marc Maron. Dig the pod tho

Yeah, it's called having a conversation, asshole.
