- We are going to show you the most effective ways in which you can maintain and revitalise your beloved Red Wing boots with our 'How to look after your Red Wings' series. It is important to condition your boots every season to keep them healthy and maintain durability.
This pair of 8083 Iron Rangers in Hawthorne Muleskinner belongs to Andy McRae from the United Kingdom. Andy purchased his boots with us in October 2018 during a trip to Amsterdam. We have stayed in contact with Andy and he asked us 'what would be the best way to take care of my boots?' So we thought it would be a great idea if he shipped his boots out to us and we would make an informative video for Rough-out leathers.
We hope this video will help you take excellent care of your Red Wing boots!

Use the saphir Renovateur spray conditioner before the protection spray
Wish I could afford them
Do I need to play the song to clean the boots? ;oP
Yes other wise it won’t work
And have similar tattoos
A brown waxed out leather would be amazing 🔥🔥🔥
I wax my 8113, it makes them look so cool and help protecting the leather. Darken the leather too, so not for everyone
Hello. When “rinsing” off the soap are you using a damp cloth? Thanks
Nice boots. Love it.
Great video, I use the Red Wing products they always work awesome, I love the Patina on these boots, I'm considering getting a pair!
This is actually pretty good. Mine look like mud compared to these lol
Hi thanks for the video. Could you tell me what song is playing please? Thank you!
MAGNIFIQUE 😍😍😍🤟

You do know that leather cleaner specifically says “not for roughout leathers” on the box?
He’s not using leather cleaner. He used Red Wing shampoo, water, and leather protector spray.
No offense, but the boots look like they took a beating, and the cleaning didn’t do much if anything. These cleaning items are high priced. They also have the red wing branding. So you would think it would work well. Only thing I got out of this video is try to take care of your boots once you get them, and don’t bother getting the re wing cleaning solutions because it won’t work. So I don’t know if this is a thumbs up or down?
I am proud to hear you were able to get something out of the video! That's a thumbs up for me :-)
Saddle soap to get out dirt and grime Huberds shoe grease to put oils back in l
I really really don’t intend for this to come across as rude, just trying to shed some light. I’m not exactly sure how sparkly clean you expect the boots to gets, perhaps your expectation is a little high. These are light colored rough out, they are going to get dirty even from just normal wear. A lot of those marking, stains, scuffs, etc once created are not going to go away. The cleaning part isn’t necessarily to make the boots look brand new as much as it is to prolong the life of the boot by cleaning off dirt and other debris that can break down leather quicker over time.
calvinist power
We got a nice boot with a bad table.
Want to read something blasphemous? I rubbed Dubbin grease all over my roughouts 🤣
