    Hey 3D Rundown. Great Video! I wish I had seen it before I started my unboxing and setting up of the P1P. They make a great product but leave out details in their pamphlet. I have issues with the wireless connection between my computer and the P1P. Sent a Helpdesk ticket in a week ago and still not even a word. That does not instill me with confidence. I have ideas of what is the issue but do not want to spend a lot of time 'fixing' something that isn't the issue. If it wasn't for the SD card I would have a $750 paperweight sitting on my desk.
    As someone literally just getting into the 3d printing world videos like yours are a HUGE help. Not flashy, not highly edited, just straight forward getter done and I need that right now. Thanks again for the great video.

      Hi there. Thanks much. Stay calm. 3D Printing can be overwhelming at first. Keep in mind, you aren't printing from your PC Bambu Studio to your Printer. You are uploading to BAMBU servers, then your printer, is downloading from there.
      Also, replace that stock SD card. It's crap.
      Check out my course: BAMBURUNDOWN.COM

    • @bombproofbushcraft
      @bombproofbushcraft 10 месяцев назад

      @@3DRundown I will definitely check out the course, and I already have a new SD card for my files I have created etc. The computer just isn't seeing the printer. Not sure how it all works, but there is no communication without the SD card. It has been two weeks now since contacting Bambu Labs with a help desk ticket and still nothing, not even an email acknowledging the ticket has been received. If I could give negative marks for customer service they would certainly deserve them. Thank goodness for your YT channel and other YT channels out there like yours.

    was having trouble figuring out how to get the filament to first come out, the down arrow instructions were confusing. Problem was I hadn't pushed the filament all the way through.
    It was curious how it seemed to waste/ let out a bit of filament to start, but I think it was normal to get the filament flowing. The 3d benchy had an odd 75C at first, but later switched to proper temperature. I note some of my bed screws that raise the hot bed up and down have a weird white substance at the bottom, I presume this is normal?
    was uncertain about the foam at the bottom of the hot bed at first, but then saw later the instruction said to remove it after the initial test. So the instructions could be better, but I'm printing the 3d benchy now, so I think we're good
    the initial prep before printing takes awhile, but I recognized the ...needle hitting the bed was like the auto loading process

    • @3DRundown
      @3DRundown  Год назад +1

      Yep. Strain Sensors use the nozzle to touch the bed. This sets your Z-Height, aka Z-OFFSET.
      No worry about wasting filament. Get used to it!! Lol. Think of it as USING filament, just for a different purpose. Need that Nozzle primed.
      The foam thing is weird for sure. I made sure to show that.
      Yep, it's a PTFE lubricant on screws.
      When you use the LOAD command, to load filament, it will pull it in, THEN, it will prime it. I start load, then, I hold a light pressure till I feel the filament move.

      😂🤣😂 I shoot in a tiny nook of my basement and can barely fit the videography gear, table, and myself in the space. One inch left or right, and the shot is toast. I make lemonade out of lemons, till I hopefully, one day, earn my way into a better space. Till then, nobody move, or the printer get's it.

    Hi, great tutorial, thank you very much, when you upgrade the SD card do you have to copy all the files and folders to the new card, or does that happen automatically?

    Do you have to test the philment every time you want to print something? Or is that just for the set up?
    Also once you finish your first print and wanna continue.. Do you have to set the printer head back to the end so it can dispose the starting test string thingy? 😅 Sorry im new!

    • @3DRundown
      @3DRundown  6 месяцев назад

      No, I throw everything at these printers!! I am not a calibration kinda guy. I slap it in, and send it!! If there is an issue, THEN, I will deal with it. The K1's and P1's, handle filaments like candy. Not like the old days of constant tinkering. Your Bambu will reset itself, when the next print starts. It's good to keep an eye on things though, and always be in control. YOUR THE BOSS! But, the machine will handle that stuff itself.

    You did not have to feed the filament that way anymore. You use the feed function, and the hot end will heat up to 250, and then you push done, and you're good to go.

    What timing! My P1P was delivered today. Didn't notice the packing screw at the back of the bed which led to some alarming noises. Didn't seem to cause any damage. Just a note for viewers, if this is your first use of Bambu Handy, remember to log in BEFORE trying to bind the printer or you'll get a 401 error.

    What's the point of the auxiliary fan?
    I see lots of videos about installing it but not any info about why you would want it.

    • @3DRundown
      @3DRundown  Год назад

      Increased cooling allows for shorter minimum layer times, and better overhangs, especially at fast speeds, do to faster layer cooling

    • @youtubevanced4900
      @youtubevanced4900 Год назад +1

      @@3DRundown but the print head has a cooling fan right?
      Isn't that auxiliary fan bolted to the frame?
      It's not going to blow on the nozzle point ?
      The bed moves up and down so most of the time the fan won't be blowing anywhere near the print head.
      I thought it might be pointed at the main board so if you enclose the printer the main board doesn't overheat.
      Oh wait, the bed moves down. The print head stays at the same level.
      Still if you're just blowing air from the side in a general area it's probably more like a draft which is the opposite of what you want.
      In an ideal world you want air blasting at the molten plastic to freeze it as fast as possible and then absolutely no air moving at all so the part cools slowly and prevents warping.
