Dentists: Doctors of Oral Health

unfortunately most people are too uneducated to realise that a dentist or a physical therapist for that matter goes through extensive study of med school subjects (at least in my country).

Dentistry or stomatology is a medical speciality. In most of Europe untill 2001 it was a post graduate subject after medical degree especially in Portugal, Austria, Spain, Italy and France. Physical therapists are allied health care professionals. There are number of allied healthcare professionals like speech therapist, Lab technician etc. Dentist or dental surgeons are doctors just like an ophthalmologist and ent are doctors.
