    We pumped the sand to the beach with such a motor pump. A Bagermaster suction nozzle and a raft were used. It is possible to deepen the berths

    Hey Man.... This is probably what just happened to my 2" pump. I bought one after watching your review of the 3" pump by the way. YOUR Review is the only reason I bout mine. I ran the piss out of it, 15-18 hours at the time. Changed oil after every use. It suddenly made a pop racket and stopped pumping. Just the way you said, Harbor Freight is sending a gift card to replace it and told me to just keep the old one. So I am going to try to rebuild the 2" if it isn't too expensive plus I plan on putting a little money with the gift card and going with the 3" and run them both. Thanks much for the review and advice, keep up the good work with the videos brother. God Bless!

      Huey Sullivan sounds good! Just check those bolts on your brand new one and put a bit of loctite on them. Hopefully nothing is too gummed up and you can just replace a bolt. The engine block is aluminum so be very careful with the torque on the bolts! Best of luck!

      I'm just wondering if it sheared the key on the shaft... ever had that happen? Not really sure just yet. All I know is, it got tilted sideways and whap! The motor runs like a beast,,,, the pump however not so much! Haven't had the chance to tear into it yet. Lock Tight is good to know! Thanks again for the video, great advice on returns

    You are a life saver! Mine started leaking and I was thinking I had a bad seal. I found this video trying to figure out how to get the impeller off and bam, when I got it off those same two bolts fell out!

      Happy to help! These little pumps are pretty cheap, and not great, but if you can keep them going they'll pay out!

      @@TomBrueggen that they are! Have you had any luck finding parts for them? I have found that some of the engine parts are swappable with a Honda gx200 motor. The predator 212 is a clone of that engine. Hard to find pump parts though.

      I've never had to find pump parts. The owner manual has a parts diagram and phone number, but every time i tried to call the number I never got through to anyone.

      Only thing I've ever needed was the clean out cover. Mine cracked last year after it froze up and I couldn't find anything. I called that number and had the same luck.

      Oh hey Chris, I just noticed this is an older video. I thought you were commenting on the newer one. I just released one a month or so ago on an unboxing of this same sort or pump. First thing before I even started it was to put thread locker on those bolts. That video was actually made over a year ago, and so far those bolts haven't come loose on me.

    if its possible could you show a video of how the propeller can off.

    • @TomBrueggen
      @TomBrueggen  6 лет назад

      These are the easy ones. Just reverse thread that bolt in the middle of the impeller. It's a normal RH thread I believe, so turn the bolt left to loosen. You have to secure the impeller somehow to keep it from spinning, or if you have access to an impact driver that will pop it off. I can zip this thing off and on in a few minutes now to check those bolts.

    • @TomBrueggen

      I believe it was standard RH thread. Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. Good luck fixing your pump!

    How did you take the impeller off?

    • @TomBrueggen
      @TomBrueggen  5 лет назад

      For this pump the bolt in the middle is all that holds it on. It’s a standard right hand thread, so counterclockwise to loosen. It can be hard to hold the impeller and break torque. I’ve wedged a board in before. But if you have an impact driver that’ll zip it right off.

      @@TomBrueggen I got that far, but then how do you actually get the impeller off? Do you need a gear puller? or is the impeller threaded on to the shaft? I took the bolt off but cant get the impeller off.

    • @TomBrueggen
      @TomBrueggen  4 года назад

      danjimielson it may just be seized up a bit, but it should just wiggle off. I never needed a gear puller. Maybe just needs a little coercion...Good luck.

    Who is the manufacturer of the pump?

    • @TomBrueggen
      @TomBrueggen  7 лет назад

      Pablo Irizarry I think the pump was Pacific Hydrostar. Who knows, it's a Harbor Freight deal. Those things seem to change all the time on who is manufacturing the stuff they have.

    I need some help on how to remove the water pump pls ASAP

    • @TomBrueggen
      @TomBrueggen  3 года назад

      If you have a bolted on impeller like this video, use an impact driver to break the torque without spinning the shaft. Or use a hammer for a quick pop on the ratchet handle as opposed to a slow steady pull. Otherwise you have to find some way to wedge a board or something in to hold it while you rotate the bolt loose. If it has the bullnose type impeller that appears pressed I’m no help. I had two pumps like that, only briefly. I never figured out how to take the impeller off, but they both leaked profusely, so I returned them under warranty and the new ones I got had the bolt impeller

      Pretty much. You just have to know going in that store that you'll probably end up throwing away whatever you're about to buy. But sometimes it's an OK stopgap.

    Cheap junk. Mine started leaking rear of the shaft. Pulled off the housing and the impeller and bolt fell out. The center bolt holding on the impeller broke off inside. I'll have to drill and easy out the the remaining bolt inside. Cheap Junk. Hard to even order the mechanical seal. Not easily available. Pump was new only used about 4hrs. total run time. Due to vibration I guess and a light duty bolt used.

    How did you get the impeller off?

    • @TomBrueggen
      @TomBrueggen  7 лет назад

      You just have to loosen the bolt in the middle of the impeller. The key is, you have to find a way to hold backup on the impeller or shaft to keep it from spinning. If you have an impact driver it may pop it loose without backup, but standard socket will probably turn the shaft too.
