    Thanks for making this video. I am about to buy one of these to test an old well I have on my property but was unsure of how to prime it. I thought I had to constantly add water until it was pumping water out. Now I know you just wait for it to get the air out of the system. This helped me a lot.

      Thanks for commenting, I'm always happy to hear when I helped someone. Yes only prime once. As long as you do not empty the pump, you do not have to re prime even if you shot it off and restart in a few hours.

    Hello,It's not normal, the choke is necessary just for startup. You have to adjust the fuel or clean the carburetor before adjusting it. Good demo of this pump

    Please can this pump vaccum septic tank . Only sludge water not solid materials?

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  День назад

      For that purpose you have pumps called "trash pump"! There is a difference between the two: Trash pumps are useful when the liquid being pumped contains solids that a water pump can't handle whereas water pumps move clear liquids. Water pumps move liquid at higher pressure than a trash pumps does.

    Hi, thanks for your video. I notice that it seemed to take quite some time before water actually started flowing - do you know why that is?
    Is there some sort of clutch between the engine and the pump that engages because it seems unlikely that it takes that long to fill that short intake pipe. The reason I ask is we are using a new pump which we tested OK a few weeks ago and when we retried it today - no suction, no output.
    Taking the pump cover off - the impeller spins freely on its shaft, but should it? Shouldn't the impeller be directly attached to the engine?
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Greg

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  15 дней назад

      Hi Greg, not sure I understand the impeller part. the impeller will turn as soon as the engine starts, the RPM will increase as you give more power to the engine. Because the impeller is made to suck water rather than air which has a lower density, it take a while before all that air is eliminated from the intake pipe. Also because of density difference, the second the water hits the impellor, the engine "goes under load" and you hear the rpm drop.

      @@photographiedynamic Hi thanks for your reply. My problem is solved now, it was a mixture of a small invisible split in the intake pipe and no rubber sealing washer on the input. But we had lost faith in the pump because of our lack of experience and knowledge. I took it apart to find out what could be wrong. When I found the impeller was spinning separate from the engine I feared the worst unless there was some sort of clutch. So it was that information I was seeking.
      I separated the pump completely from the engine and revealed a centrifugal clutch - so that when the motor gets up to speed the clutch engages. Thanks for your interest though.

    Please i need help
    I turn on my pump but it doesnt want to draw water from the extraction hose
    It gets only water from the bowl where i put water
    I checked the hose, its alright, its not blocked nowhere
    Please help

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  3 месяца назад

      If you fill it up with water and it's not sucking water, there is a leak somewhere in the system. If the hose is not damaged, check the connection. If the connection is air tight then check the casing. Mine the casing had a crack, very small, but that resulted in air being sucked in and water wasn't moving in the hose. Oh and make sure the suctions hose is designed for sucking and not soft hose.

  • @bkh3897
    @bkh3897 3 месяца назад

    One question. Does it suck from a depth of 10 meters?

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  3 месяца назад

      No! it can suck a height of about 7.5 meters, and it can push water up to 25 meters in height. But when you go to extremes, the amount of water being delivered in reduced.
      To suck from deep water table, you need a well pump.

    c This looks like a semi-trash pump. I'm looking for a similar pump but high PSI for irrigation.
    Where can this be purchased? Brand? Pump curve, etc?

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  Год назад

      Hi, I do not have much experience in the high pressure pumps but I believe the electric, deep water well pump might be what you need. They suck and push smaller amounts of water but with a much higher PSI. This makes it possible to have running water in homes with wells. Here is an example: www.amazon.ca/Red-Lion-RL-SWJ50-97080502-Shallow/dp/B00VIL42KE/

    • @photographiedynamic

      My guess would be yes as this pump can be used to pump "muddy water" as long as there as no stones that could damage the impellor.

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  Год назад

      Hi, I would say that's way too much water. You can go with a smaller pump and if you have access to electricity, then you can use an electrical water pump.

    What happens when you use less than 3inch intake pipe

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  11 месяцев назад +1

      If you find a coupler to go from the 3 inch intake to a 2 inch pipe, you could connect but you will strain the machine. You could run it for a short time at a low power (low rpm). Ideally run on 3 inch, there is a pump which has the 2 inch intake.

    How long it took until it started pumping the water out?

    • @photographiedynamic
      @photographiedynamic  Год назад

      I would say 2-3 minutes. But this can vary if your bringing water up from a deeper source and the speed of your motor. You should see water progressing in the intake tube. If not then there is a leak of air somewhere or you casing is cracked. Mine was cracked and had to be repaired, otherwise you would run it 20 minutes and nothing would be sucked in.

      Hi Peter, you can use pretty much anything for the outlet hose. However in intake hose has to be non-collapsible. If the polypipe is strong enough then it would work.

    Your carburetor needs a cleaning, it should not have to run with partial choke on.

      Maybe it just needs a new carburetor. This machine is brand new and was stored with zero fuel. I wonder if it has any adjustment knobs, Have to look into it. I have a snow blower and that one had a non adjustable carb. I cleaned ivain. Bought a new adjustable and now it runs like new.

      If you install a 2 inch foot valve on the end of the hose in the water instead of the regular strainer, fill your intake hose with water, attach it to your primed pump, then start your motor then it will start discharging water immediately. No waiting required.

      I show you that you have to fill the water (prime the pump at 3:40) into the chamber where it impellor is. Although you do not see water come out for the first few minutes, the impellor in rotating in water therefore not damaging the machine.
