Elvis Presley - Scene from "Viva Las Vegas" (MGM 1964)

- Опубликовано: 17 сен 2009
- A classical scene from arguably Elvis' best musical ever. Not many words needed here. She says: "My motor whistles...", and he says: "I don't blame it." That's about it. From then on sparks fly between the two who had an affair in real life and were reportedly about to get married. Great cast, great music, great locations. This is how an Elvis movie should have been done all the time. Unfortunately "Colonel" Parker found out that it could be done cheaper. Much cheaper...

I’ve been a Elvis fan since I was 7 I’m 25
@@danigodarling8141 Since 14, I'm 61 and I play mostly Elvis at work, with a bit of 50's and country, takes 2.5 days to go thru the memory stick and start over.
Wait, you watched this too? I hate people who just copy things they hear and get hundreds of likes for it.
@@frederikschulp It'ss a way if expressing something they found funny, to see who else found it just as funny.
Elvis Presley Fan Forever me either
Just that look between Elvis and Ann's eyes said it all. PRICELESS!
Ann: My car whistles. Elvis: I don't blame it. Hee hee hee.
Filme uncomidar
sounds like something he'd say lol
well, because she kept stepping on it
They both is better

Elvis is one of those American icons you just can't replicate. RIP to the King, man.
And he was a Southerner.
You can’t replicate him but Austin Butler did one hell of a job becoming the King

The chemistry between Margaret and Elvis is phenomenal.
they surely felt it in real life too

These two were gorgeous .
She is a beauty. Have always loved Ann-Margret.

How Elvis meet Ann here... her walking-up & saying something got his attention, as he was lying beneath & checking things under another guy's car, making him roll-out from under it to look up & see her... that's how my parents meet--her with red hair, him into racing sports cars and all...!😊
I love how they look at each other
Hi how are you doing dear?
Omg Ann-Margret and Elvis so beautiful and so much chemistry i love them together 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
Ann Margaret held her own.... right up to Elvis. And that is HOT! She is truly one of a kind..
You could tell they had chemistry the ways they looked at one another I believe Elvis Presley Ann Margret had something special between them a life long lasting relationship. Best friends. It was told she cried the most St his furnnel and was very devesteted

Elvis, 29 and looking good. Strange, never been anyone since to compare to him. America is I fear sinking >>>fast.
That scene kick started the movie for me. Two incredibly talented stars . For me it wasn't the acting but the start of a loving relationship which continued until his death.

Omg can two people get anymore beautiful!!
Ok these are the 2 best looking people EVER!
Love the look she gives to him from under the hood, after he left . She sneeks a peek at him. Priceless.

I do like elvis presley but I don't understand why he didn't make interviews so I can like him like any other entertainer singer for instant like michael jackson I love love love his interviews and mj concerts so
@@arielat9519 there’s a few interviews with no video recording, just audio. Colonel Tom Parker didn’t allow Elvis to do many interviews in the 60s and 70s. And it’s difficult to find such interviews from so long ago.
When they performed together they rocked it
Damn Elvis was over the top F-I-N-E.
I say the same about Lynda Carter.
Elvis was a great actor.
In the right films he would of been
One of the greats
He was supposed to star opposite Barbra Streisand in A Star is Born until old man Parker, prick that he was, put the kibosh on whole thing over who got top billing.
@@msr1116 never mind the star is born he was offered good rolles early in his careersuch as thunder road cat on the hot tin roof West side story he was good at playing a rebel he would have been good in those films he also could do lightweight comedy very well but he made at least ten or twelve great movies kid Galahad jailhouse Rock flaming star just to name a few Happy New year he was a great natural actor
All you have to do is google Elvis roles turned down..Thank you fat Tom Parker..one role Paul Newman took and another Steve Mcqueen..Thunder Road, Robert Mitchum wanted Elvis as his younger brother and Elvis wanted that role badly, nothing to do with money, they hand shook on it..Turns out was a timing issue

Pra mim o Elvis é o homem mais bonito que já teve.... ele é lindo e tem uma sensualidade natural, não precisa forçar já está nele. Existem muitos artistas e músicos bonitos mas como ele nenhum.
And a wonderful voice

Why can't I have a young Ann Margaret like this in my world right now?
you can see the love they had for each other but how they looked at each other
It's called acting
@@DocUno1 No, they really did have chemistry and dated after this movie for 1 year. Ann actually called Elvis her soul mate in her autobiography. It wasn't meant to be though, because Elvis made a promise to Precilla's father that he would marry her, and so he did. Priscilla knew about his affair with Ann and wrote about it also in her book.
How are you doing dear?
@@cgvapors963 I say more than "chemistry" both Ann and Elvis clearly love each other passionately, even Elvis' friends on set at the time have said over the years they preferred Ann over Priscilla. If Elvis hadn't had made his promise to marry in Priscilla no doubt in my mind Elvis and Ann would be down the aisle. They were the perfect couple together.
I love the 'Ann Cam' which seemed to catch the best views of her.

Miracle Elvis and Ann!!!💐😢
What today movies lack ,it's excactly this: the dialogue.
Natural beauty.
Ann Margaret was beautiful! And Elvis? Well, there's no word in the English language that could perfectly encapsulate the wonder of that man.
When Ann Margaret smiles, I melt
Anne just doesn’t play fair.... wow. What a babe!
shes hot for todays standards
i agree, most chicks in 60s movies wouldn’t hold up well today but she is really something else
Its too bad very few women "discovered" how to grow their butts back in the 60s, had Ann had another 5 pounds of glutes, she would have been even hotter than she was, and she was steamin...
"For today's standards"??? < - She is Hot in ALL standards!... Period!
Why would she want it any bigger? Not everyone finds a Kardashian butt cute. Her figure is pretty perfect. That's a dancer's body.
Today's standards? No talent and a fat ass? These are "today's standards". Young women from the 60s were way,way hotter then the crazy fat ass nut jobs we have today!!
I admire Elvis for trying to get the draws. He helped lay the groundwork for modern players.
Gosh, Ann and Elvis , I mean so goodlooking, just too much for this world!
The gorgeously stunning Ann Margaret.
Damn,! that was really smooth to get a classy and beautiful girl 😆 Ann and Elvis, perfect couple in a film.💕
And off screen, no doubt both were smitten for the other. If not for Elvis' promise to Priscilla's parents to marry her, then no doubt Ann Margaret would be taking Priscilla's place.
Back then after seeing this intro i was in love with Ann Margaret i taped her picture above my dresser .

ANN MARGARET-ANN MARGARET - ANN MARGARET-- WOW- WOW- WOW
I will always say it: Elvis married the wrong girl. He and Ann were a beautiful couple and they both had a very special chemistry.
Yes, but I doubt Elvis would’ve let her continue her career, especially when she did films like Carnal Knowledge and Tommy later on. He really wanted a stay at home wife and A-M had a real independent streak about her.
Priscilla didn't hit her prime until the early 80's. Just look at her on that Barbara Walters interview. She's more beautiful then, then at any time with Elvis. And on a few of the Dallas episodes. She's among the most beautiful women I've ever seen.
@@MZic-xb7jx Remember, it was Elvis keeping in contact with her. She obviously wrote but he willingly called her for 2 years and saw her again later. She was forced into a fast life with Elvis, however she did the same with Michael Edwards for 6 years so idk what to believe.
Hello pretty ...how are you doing ?
@@jennifersman7990 we will never know. But Ann Margaret had her own career when both met each other. Ann also had a very strong personality and was very independent, something I believe Elvis loved and admired. I doubt Elvis wouldn't have forced Ann to do anything she wouldn't want to do. In fact, if both married the Colonel's influence might have been tamed and Elvis might still have been alive.
Just love her🎉❤
0:22-0:30 Has to be one of the best lines in any Elvis film...

Elvis and Ann Margaret were a perfect couple! Soul mates!
Ann is a Taurus like Gladys was. No wonder Elvis felt connected to her.
Every time Elvis' eyes saw Ann, you could clearly see his eyes light up like thunder, especially at 2:10 "Because around here I'm known as your very bothering mechanic." (Even the punchline is brilliant). Oh both were very smitten no doubt. It might be a movie, but it's like the public is seeing what could have been for each other.

People back then were pretty but Elvis was in another level of beauty
I don't care what anyone says, light comedy suited Elvis better than any other film genre, especially when he was co-starring with someone as gorgeous as Ann-Margaret. In these sorts of settings, he lights up the screen in a way he never did as a second-rate Marlon Brando or James Dean.
Exactly Tom:
He wanted to be a serious actor and it wasn't what he did best.
Elvis is remembered so fondly because of these light, girl friendly movies.
