Thank you for your comment J Michael Palermo IV. I love what Here is doing, well done! Do you think you'll be adding en route searching functionality soon?
I use both, if I want to find a restaurant or a gas station I go to google maps, but in general I prefer the perspective of the here maps to drive without problems. I've done a few road trips around Europe, then here maps is the app to go. And the traffic info is very good in here maps. Nice video, very organized and clear!
Thank you for your comment my friend, glad you enjoyed the video and I totally agree, Google has its plus points. I'd love for Here WeGo to develop those areas
I am going to Italy, and other countries and walking everywhere...almost. I just learned about the Here we go app as it allows me to download walking directions. Big deal when I'm on a limited data plan. Thanks for this video. Very helpful. I'll download now and use it around home base to get used to it.
I was VERY CONFUSED about these two great Navigation Apps. So much confusion that i Decided to kept BOTH OF THEM 😂. Thanks to your video. You have shown us very depth details and it's cool features. And oh i ❤ loved that PRATICAL DEMONSTRATION which you did by keeping BOTH of them side - by - side while driving. Great contents. Thanking you again. 🙏🏻 From ARUNACHAL PRADESH, Northeast, India.
Here is my opinion: Google Maps: Accurate and works like a Google search engine but sometimes offline removes the blue navigation line unless you update frequently or use mobile data. Waze: Does not work offline but brilliant in warning drivers about speed cameras. Windy Maps: Works offline, slick and fantastic but missing many POIs. Sygic: Amazing and shows brilliant features such as buildings but does not work offline, free for a week unless you pay for the maps.
I’m trying to make new roads in the middle of nowhere I’m trying to find a way to follow my layout markings on the map like to see myself offline do I need a satellite gps I got a ZOLEO that pins me but I can’t over lap them maps what I think I’ll end up doing is looking at them side by side
Does anybody knows I it's possible in one way or another to import my data from Google MyMaps to Here? I'd like to import a KML or KMZ file but ie doesn't seem possible. I'd hate to have to create collections and save the locations one by one all over again in the app.
Your shown Here WeGo app was very good, but ater it updated lost it's high contrast map, now you have low contrast map with blinded off street names you may can't reed for the text contrast lack and can't even zoom the text in any more. Voise directions now badly spoken as well.
from my experience, HERE maps doing a much better voice comands than google, google maps too early gives you info to turn, and lot of times i turn earlier then i supposted to do, so for that big point for HERE. But google maps is better when you need to find some specific object.
We’re taking a convoy of cars to the Sahara Desert and would like to provide everyone with a copy of the route that they can use on their phones to navigate. Which navigation app is best when offline and provides turn by turn voice navigation? It needs to follow our ‘scenic’ route though that Ive planned on my desktop and not take the most direct / fastest route. Thanks in advance for any help. Mac
I have used here we go on and off for 2 years now and noticed it does not choose the most optimum route, it takes the long way round and leads you round back streets. Other times it can stop working with the car audio so you are running on silent. Then again it is free so I can’t really complain. Doubt if I would buy a pay for version.
Nice touch with the bloopers. I like the layout in Here WeGo, the user interface is more clean and key metrics are are a lot clearer. However, as you mentioned, with Google, the community aspect allows for live traffic data to allow me to determine any changes to my route - and I often use this feature, especially if there is a accident en-route. With Here WeGo, I'm assuming the community isn't large enough to give reliable live information as such? Most importantly.... When will H-Tube be giving away their next free pizza?!
Love the response, thank you for taking the time to give some positive feedback. Glad you liked the bloopers, we think it brings the audience closer to the feel and action of the video. Giveaways coming soon!
HERE WeGO has traffic updates automatically, but unfortunatelly, does not feature some closed roads at night... unless is a very important road. Well, at this point, even Google does not . So if you want best for traffic updates, get TomTom, or Sygic, or Magic Earth, highly recomended.

Coming from Nokia Windows, I've been using Here for yrs. As a keen backpacker in the Far East, I love the idea of downloading a whole country map. You didn't mention the 'Collections' folders, which I have used for a long time. I have hundreds of restaurants, bars, hotels etc recorded, so pretty invested in Here. The 3D City maps are pretty impressive, allowing me to just use the free GPS system to navigate to the next point of interest. You probably don't get as much tourist info as Google maps, but still plenty. I use Huawei now, so I'm a bit confused why Huawei are pushing Petal maps, when they have some kind of partnering with Here.
Great video mate. Having a map app is important to me. I'm in no rush to upgrade, I'm thinking of holding out until the p50. The only apps I'd miss one would be googlepay, RUclips for convenience, and Spotify
Thanks I appreciate that! Yeah it's a good way of looking at it, waiting for the P50 will alow Huawei to get their app store even more developed and hopefully Huawei Pay should be coming soon. I do miss that too. As for Spotify you can phone clone that across or use Petal Search which is made by Huawei to search for apks online and download them safely and securely. I don't know if RUclips will ever be available but until then the Web browser as. Shortcut on the homepage or RUclips vanced is the best solution. Thanks for tuning in!
Nope unfortunately not, I wish you could but it seems Here WeGo are not focused on multi destination navigation, I do miss that feature when using Here WeGo
Not possible at the moment, it's one of its slight downsides, Here has said that it will be making some big changes soon, but I haven't had an app update since September 🤔hopefully soon 💪
I want to buy a new mobile. But I have a question to you that what is necessary to run any maps e.g. Google or Waze or any other. I mean to say Ram/ internal memory/Internet connection
Hi thanks for the question, most modern day phones will be fine with this, just shoot for something with 64GB storage and 2/3GB ram minimum or 128GB and 4GB RAM for a more enjoyable experience, particularly if you'll be downloading maps onto the phone, enjoy!

I download maps on here we go than used offline mode. The issue with Here we go is that when on android as I try to used the SD card slot for storage for data save for the maps on here we go it will not download weird but when I used the internal storage on my phone it works. Nice, thanks for sharing, but most of the video is a deep dive in driving directions features. It assumes most of usage would be driving, which for more totally misses the mark. Would love to see more detailed critique on other features such as exploring points of interest, reviews, and specially more modes of transportation such as public and biking
thanks for the feedback bud, my perspective was exactly what you said from a driving point of view, although, I do cycle too, but I thought it would be a good starting point. Maybe a future video. Thanks once again
I'd say that feature is better on Googlemaps, as it tells you which lane to be in, but its not always accurate, so Here we go has a counter feature which is to indicate on the motorwar whether you're going to continue going straight or come off in "x" amount of miles, so you just look for that indication and keep driving as normal until it changes.
When you load the initial route, from the preview aspect, here is more detailed with road names particularly around key turnings, it also does a good job highlighting points of interests to look out for. When you actually depart Here wego has the road numbers on show which is helpful if you are heading to a new shop, know the number but the shop isn't necessarily marked very easily. Google has a cool live view feature which augments your directions on to the world through your camera, which is awesome but I fear may get you run over, so be careful with traffic. Overall they are both good I'd probably stick to here wego if you want to save data and Googlemaps if you're resilient to trying something new 👍
Good spot, thats an interesting bug, but iOS seems not to want to play nicely with certain 3rd party apps/ companies that might cause conflict with products/services they sell
Hi thanks for commenting, I like sygics maps the POIS on the map are clear without clutter, and some POIS have cool icons like Esso petrol stations. It also has the house numbers on the map which is a nice touch too. The navigation display looks cool too, with the 3D map enabled and the horizon visible, I don't know what it is about that style, just makes you feel like you know where you are easier. The biggest strain for me is that when you search the default search bar is the "quick search bar" which doesn't seem to want to play with postcodes. For that you have to go to the menu - navigate to - address - select address or postcode. Seems silly considering I think most people will atleast 50% of the time search this way. I do however like that you can travel via route when planning your route like Google maps which was not present on the Here maps. It also has a super cool feature that allows you to show a demo of the route at different speeds so you get a virtual walk through of the route prior to using it. Without going into a full review it is definitely a FEATURE Packed navigation system but you do need to sit down and have a good nose around these settings and options and some people won't want to do this. Thanks for recommending it though I'll definitely be using this too. 👍
@@normwright4894 I reckon an ad supported app ecosystem (google play store) has encouraged this, the companies that cant/don't want to lumber their users with ads have to charge, those that don't care let ads rife through their app, I suppose we have a choice.
HTubeofficial I was thinking the standard TomTom app. My problem is that I just switched to the huawei p40 pro and now am looking for an alternative for google maps, so I’m open to any suggestions you guys have.
@@bRabbit120793 Thanks for the question, I'd recommend Here we go for its offline map and simplistic view, Google maps is still available (use Petal search or Aurora store to download it), Waze is still available (again petal search is you friend), tomtom amigo looks like a solid alternative to Waze, and sygic is my new best friend, it has a tonne of cool features but the main bit it faltered at was taking me on obscure routes which I knew where not the most direct or logical route, so it threw me abit, alhough it was the initial use so not sure if it was a one off!
There is a cool feature in Google maps where it gives us an option to avoid highways which is really helpful time to time. Does Huawei here we go map has something similar to skip highways? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Hey, thanks for the question, yep Here Wego has the same feature, you can avoid Highways, toll roads, ferries, tunnels, unpaved roads, auto trains. You can also opt not to show certain modes of travel to make the UI less cluttered for example if you never use taxis
Privacy with Google Maps is a big issue. You are REQUIRED by the app itself to be signed in in order to use maps you've already downloaded to your phone. Sketchy as heck.
Unfortunately at the moment you cant add multiple stop points. It's more of a A to B situation. Here WeGo is aware of this video so I hope they can make some adjustments 👌
Think of this as a traditional sat nav, rather than a route planner and it makes sense. But for some they will want to use the extra feature set that Google Maps offers 100%
Hi, yes we are based in the UK and it's accurate enough for us, no system is infallible though as I've had both systems take me to closed roads before and give me wrong road speeds but on the whole they are both good👌
@@sunny1234321 I want to buy a new mobile. But I have a question to you that what is necessary to run any maps e.g. Google or Waze or any other. I mean to say Ram/ internal memory/Internet connection.
@@kishorpatwardhan3219 - any mid - low segment phone would work. The maps offered by most (Google/HERE/TomTom) are light on the phone. Still to be specific, anything higher than 2GB ram is decent to run. For WeGo (From HERE), you may want to get sufficient storage if you wish to download offline map for whole country. Couple of GB set aside for data storage from this app should be enough beside your regular usage and storage needs
Unfortunately the music cannot be turned down separately from the system volume so if you turn Here we go's volume down I believe the phone volume also drops (music etc) - because of this I tend to turn it off if im listening to music
Thank you for taking your time to comment, I agree it's a very unique and cool feature, plus you can use it in offline mode which means you literally don't need any data connection to navigate, which Google will probably newer do.
Here we go works better and smoother on my android nav compared to google maps. I use most of the time waze but if i will ever need to use it offline, i will use herr we go
Yes and no to be honest the only two features I REALLY miss are en route mapping, journey shortcut on homescreen and sharing location (which I just found out you can do in WhatsApp). Here we go works the same once you plug in your destination, you don't notice a difference when you're driving to be honest. What features do you think here we go is missing or needs?
@@HTubeofficial 1. Adding multiple stops to a journey. 2. Voice search. 3. They had a feature called "Nearby" where it was a swipe up box that had quick buttons to find nearby places (Not really important.) 4.Search along route. 5. Weather (Like Apple Maps.) I sent them lots of feedback to the point where I don't get a response from them anymore. This was years ago, and we still have not gotten many features.
6. Sharing location. 7. Saving location of parked car. 8. Gas prices. 9. Public parking prices. 10. Location of bike sharing stands (and prices.) 11. I wish the voice announced traffic incidents. 12. Something that Google Maps does that HERE WeGo doesn't is that active rerouting. Google maps says "faster route found" and stuff like that. 13. The Waze-like features. 14. Lane guidance. They actually told me they can't do this due to Android restrictions, or something, but they do have this on IOS.
1. I agree, but I've only used that feature twice in my life and on Google the implementation is poor.. When you get to your location, if you select the wrong option it starts the whole thing again. But its cool to get an idea of how long it takes for a complete journey. 2. Its super convenient but not a deal breaker (I'd rather have #4) 3. Cool feature I mentioned in the video but I rarely used that on gmaps and like u said not a major 4. I agree 5. Meh (imo)
6. Yep sharing location was a big one for me. I do it through WhatsApp its better and more convenient. 7. Parked location is a good idea I don't use it in practice as I park in alot of multi storeys and its useless. I just turn around and take a picture of the signage and refer to it is I forget. 8. Are they ever accurate? 9. Its a solid option I agree. Like local parking options to your destination. 10. Out the box, I like it 11. The amount of times Google has told me there's an accident and theres not because its cleared.... That would wind me up lol. A notification that you could swipe away might serve the same purpose? Or suggest a redirect like google does? 12. Lol great minds think alike #11 13. Waze community driven features. To be honest I don't like the cluttered look waze has. At that point you might as well just use waze. 14. In not a superfan. Maybe I don't need it, it might be good for someone though. All great suggestions who knows Here We Go might be listening?
Brother superb video simple background music but i have been using both 4 a long time both r good but here wego doesn't cover all the place 4 india telengana
Yep, I think this is a low key movement, I know as a Huawei user when I did this and moved away from Google it was weird how much we rely on certain services, without an alternative, especially as that was the fun of android, to experiment and stay on your toes.
My first smartphone was Windows phone with Here Map (as called then) Here WeGo for me exactly because the offline abilities! P.S. I'll go further in terms of operation system Windows was the best! Super simple, super intuitive. Nowadays both IOS and Android are just supper s**t.
Here We Go safe to use with ride motorcycle. u dont need eyes to keep watch where direction just use your ears to listening instruction. example like :in 1 kilometer turn left after 500 meter : in 500 meter turn left Google maps dont have this such function . in 1 kilometer turn left and its silent. when reach 1 kilometer suddenly ask u turn left WTF. Google maps u need keep eyes on screen. accident might happend because u got distracted. but please be careful Here We Go new version are not longer same like previous version its totally new and totally change. u wont be like it. I hate Here We Go Latest Updated !

@@HTubeofficial I dumped Sygic for Herewego since Sygic charges $30 a year if you want voice turn-by-turn. WHAT A RIPOFF!!!
@@normwright4894 I reckon an ad supported app ecosystem (google play store) has encouraged this, the companies that cant/don't want to lumber their users with ads have to charge, those that don't care let ads rife through their app, I suppose we have a choice.
can you compare either one of them with TomTom ?
We can definitely give it a go, which one? Tomtom Amigo (more like waze) or conventional Tomtom?
HTubeofficial huge thanks I will try those.
Good info 😎
Very usefull. Thank you :-)
You're welcome! thanks for the comment!
Here navigation is the best!!!
Yep I like the simplicity of it, I'm glad more and more people are becoming aware of it 💪
Do either bring in ads while your using map?
No, both have very clean interfaces👌
There is a cool feature in Google maps where it gives us an option to avoid highways which is really helpful time to time. Does Huawei here we go map has something similar to skip highways? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Hey, thanks for the question, yep Here Wego has the same feature, you can avoid Highways, toll roads, ferries, tunnels, unpaved roads, auto trains. You can also opt not to show certain modes of travel to make the UI less cluttered for example if you never use taxis
I work at HERE :)
Nice, you the second employee to comment. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it.
In India, if you ask Google maps to navigate you to Texas, it will end up taking you to Washington DC😂😂
Privacy with Google Maps is a big issue. You are REQUIRED by the app itself to be signed in in order to use maps you've already downloaded to your phone. Sketchy as heck.
This is true, although on newer Huawei phones you actually cant sign in so game on lol
I can't drive but im watching 🙃
Ahah superb, we try and make our videos a visual spectacle. Thank you 👍
Great video,thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for taking your time to comment ❤️
How to add stops (waypoints) in herewego? :(
Unfortunately at the moment you cant add multiple stop points. It's more of a A to B situation. Here WeGo is aware of this video so I hope they can make some adjustments 👌
@@HTubeofficial well that is great disadvantage. It is crucial to make app to use certain route that includes points a,b c etc.
Yep I agree, I do miss that feature from Googlemaps, hopefully they embed it back in. And also search en route. I really want that feature ❤️
@@HTubeofficial Welp, that disadvantage still exists, so, guess I'll be sticking with Google Maps. Wish Here maps matched its feature set...
Think of this as a traditional sat nav, rather than a route planner and it makes sense. But for some they will want to use the extra feature set that Google Maps offers 100%
Here wego do have lane guidance, but not on Android. That seems to be strange. iOS app has lane guidance but Android app doesn't. 😭
What a shame hey, hopefully this gets sorted 👌thanks for the comment
Google maps has the restraunts and stuff - Here Wego has the better maps and performance
Here we go !!!!!
Do you live in Europe? I'm in Germany and wonder if its accurate enough in this part of the world
Hi, yes we are based in the UK and it's accurate enough for us, no system is infallible though as I've had both systems take me to closed roads before and give me wrong road speeds but on the whole they are both good👌
Hi, I can confirm it’s accurate in Germany because I used it there. Just update your map at home and you can drive without putting on your data. 😉
you can let me know if it isn't accurate. The WeGo App also has feedback section where they can quickly review and respond
Can you tell how to adjust the volume on here we go , as it is too loud ?
Unfortunately the music cannot be turned down separately from the system volume so if you turn Here we go's volume down I believe the phone volume also drops (music etc) - because of this I tend to turn it off if im listening to music
Thank you
You're welcome, thanks for taking the time to comment, hope you reach your goals!
Here isn't there anymore
It definitely is in AppGallery, im installing it now on my matepad pro, search for "here we go"
also its there on google playstore
Thank you for taking your time to comment, I agree it's a very unique and cool feature, plus you can use it in offline mode which means you literally don't need any data connection to navigate, which Google will probably newer do.
Here we go works better and smoother on my android nav compared to google maps. I use most of the time waze but if i will ever need to use it offline, i will use herr we go
Yep Here uses a simple layout so it tends to be more effecient. Thanks for the contribution to the channel.
They really need more features to catch up to Google Maps.
3. They had a feature called "Nearby" where it was a swipe up box that had quick buttons to find nearby places (Not really important.)
4.Search along route.
5. Weather (Like Apple Maps.)
I sent them lots of feedback to the point where I don't get a response from them anymore. This was years ago, and we still have not gotten many features.
6. Sharing location.
7. Saving location of parked car.
8. Gas prices.
9. Public parking prices.
10. Location of bike sharing stands (and prices.)
2. Its super convenient but not a deal breaker (I'd rather have #4)
3. Cool feature I mentioned in the video but I rarely used that on gmaps and like u said not a major
4. I agree
5. Meh (imo)
10. Out the box, I like it
11. The amount of times Google has told me there's an accident and theres not because its cleared.... That would wind me up lol. A notification that you could swipe away might serve the same purpose? Or suggest a redirect like google does?
12. Lol great minds think alike #11
Good to know, thanks for your constructive feedback and glad you enjoyed the video
nice vid
Thanks for taking your time to comment, I had loads of fun filming this
No Street View on HERE WeGo
Here works far better than google during offline mode
I used it back in the day on my Nokia Windows phone, and recently rediscovered it, because I wanted to get away from the tech giants
Yep, I think this is a low key movement, I know as a Huawei user when I did this and moved away from Google it was weird how much we rely on certain services, without an alternative, especially as that was the fun of android, to experiment and stay on your toes.
@@HTubeofficial Exactly, it's weird, right?
I guess that's just what happens, when something becomes mainstream.
My first smartphone was Windows phone with Here Map (as called then) Here WeGo for me exactly because the offline abilities!
P.S. I'll go further in terms of operation system Windows was the best! Super simple, super intuitive. Nowadays both IOS and Android are just supper s**t.
can you please remove the music in the background? I can barely hear you talking...
Hi, thanks for the feedback, unfortunately this video has already been uploaded but will take into account for future videos!
petal maps 💪
Yes Huawei has launched their own navigation service now, hopefully it can create some innovative technologies 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting
Can’t even find herewego app !
Where are you looking its available in all the main app stores: Apple's app store, Google's Play store and Huawei's AppGallery
in germany google maps is shit, dosen't show you speed limit and also not shows speed cameras
Thanks for sharing 👌
Here We Go safe to use with ride motorcycle.
u dont need eyes to keep watch where direction
just use your ears to listening instruction.
example like :in 1 kilometer turn left
after 500 meter : in 500 meter turn left
Google maps dont have this such function .
in 1 kilometer turn left
and its silent. when reach 1 kilometer suddenly ask u turn left WTF.
Google maps u need keep eyes on screen.
accident might happend because u got distracted.
but please be careful Here We Go new version are not longer same like previous version
its totally new and totally change. u wont be like it.
I hate Here We Go Latest Updated !
Very nice presentation and informative. There is a new update of HERE WeGo coming out soon so stay tuned! It's going to be outstanding!!
Thank you for your kind feedback! I can't wait, are we talking a few great tweaks or overhaul? #exclusivescoop

Have you seen the HERE WeGo Beta app? I immediately apologized to myself.
Not yet, any cool features?
