I'm 50yrs. Old. there will never ever be music like this again. If i had a wish I'd go back!!!!
I'll be 57 on the 17th, so I can relate. I never heard these guys though!
@REACTIONDIARIES LOL when this song came out I swear I heard it two or three times a day and I'm 53
I Miss The 80s So Much.
Me too!!
@@user-pp5in1im4x best music ever!
The whole kix blow my fuse cd is great
Youre right - Scorpions. Also Cinderella.
Kix is a Baltimore band, and growing up around Baltimore in the '80s they were impossible to miss. True gods of the local rock scene, since well before this single became a surprise hit. They get lumped in with the hair bands, but at their heart they were always just an old fashioned rock band that loved the music, loved the parties, and loved to play live...unfortunately they grew to hate the music industry after getting screwed over pretty hard multiple times.
I saw them live several times back in the day, and even got to hang out with the band briefly after one show. It says a lot about them that they were willing to just stand around behind the venue, in the rain, talking with a bunch of random teenagers for a solid half hour.
They never got the recognition they deserved on a national scale, but at least around Baltimore they can still sell out any venue they choose (and they are still active today).
We had a local band like that. The band was called "Stranger". They were well known throughout Florida and had a record deal, but the lead singer passed away. Such a shame. Check them out doing a song called "Swamp Woman". Here's a link! ruclips.net/video/GzPKTMch_tI/видео.html
I believe Kix was Hagerstown, Md
Cinderella is who your thinking of.
Great song, Im old enough, 64 when they where called the Shoes and the Generators. Yes, Me and my buddy followed almost everywhere way back in the day
He has a similar voice to the Carl Thomas Keifer, front man for Cinderella. They seem like they have the same range and growl. Keifer's voice is probably a a bit more raspy. But they sound similar to me but still a little different.
Sounds a little like Great White
I only remember one song from Great White. I can't even think of the title, but the one that got a lot of radio play. Maybe I need to dig into some of it! Will you be joining us for the Live Stream tonight? 6pm EST Come request a song or two and hang out in chat with the rest of the Lounge Lizards! Here's a link- ruclips.net/user/liveAhLB2b1aQjs?feature=share Hope to see you there! Cheers!
Good song by Kix. I always liked them. Walking Away is their best ballad in my opinion and definitely on my list of top 10 80’s rock ballads.
Never heard it
Steve whitey really has a voice should hear tear down the walls
Kix was so underrated. better than poison ; bon jovi , winger Stryper. theh got pigeonholed into a ' hair band ' which they werent. they been around since the late 70s. Quiet riot; Ratt and Kix existed way before motley crue
Great info. thank you!
Kix was late 80s
and Steve Whitman still sounds the same at 67 hits every note he's amazing ageless
Oh BTW he reminds you of great white.
The 80s were the best , but i dig the new metal of today , they sing more about mental health ,
Lookin' good, Jennifer!
Lovin' the lipstick, Sweetie.
Peace and Love to you Darlin'
✌✌ and 💕💕
Such a great channel.

Tom Keifer from Cinderella who you're thinking of
I'd guess you're thinking of Cinderella as well.
i think your thinking about great white
Great song! The 80s kicked so much a@@. Please do wasted time by skid row???? Please please please..... You won't regret it.
Nice! They sound a little like Cinderella or Britny Fox…
Thanks, David! Hope all is well with you! Will you be joining us for the Live Stream tonight? 6pm EST Come request a song or two and hang out in chat with the rest of the Lounge Lizards! Here's a link- ruclips.net/user/liveAhLB2b1aQjs?feature=share Hope to see you there! Cheers!
Probably Tom Keffer of Cinderella
This song is absolutely amazing, and Kix is a criminally under-rated band. Steve Whiteman's vocals are unique in the genre: raw, powerful, high range... hard to capture in one concise term.
I grew up listening to their music, enjoyed it then, and still enjoy it now. The music from the '80s -- especially the rock ballads -- has such a distinct kind of sound utterly unlike anything before or since. Rock music peaked in the late '80s/early '90s, and nothing since has been as good.
Sadly, but inevitably, these guys just retired: they played their last show in Maryland a couple of weeks ago. I hope their music continues to live on, and I hope this genre comes back around again.
If you liked this one, you should listen to "Tear Down the Walls", also by Kix.
Thanks for the info! Care to share a link for the other Kix song? Cheers! I am just surprised I never heard of them before...

I dont think you ever know. Youre supposed to interpret it your own ways I believe.
I agree!
I was in college when this song came out! I was border between an A and and a B in a physics class I had. My professor asked me if I can sing.....I really can't sing professionally but I said yes.....he said pick a favorite rock ballad and sing it.....If you sing in form I will consider The upper final grade for you! I sang this song acapella! 🎵 The rest is history ❤😂
I'd love to hear you sing it sometime! Anway, Just curious, are you busy tonight? My LIVE STREAM starts at 6pm EST, I'd love to have you join me & the Lounge Lizards! We have a long of fun! Come hang out and request your favorite song or artist! Here is the link. Hope to see you there! ruclips.net/video/Hfx7POYvzR8/видео.html

I request Wasp what I'll never find.
See my message above! Come request it tonight at the live!
I can hear scorpions a bit in singers voice, but thats it
he reminds you of LA Guns
I don't know who that is! lol.
@@REACTIONDIARIES listen to some LA Guns and you we see why I said that
Will do!

Coldplays “42” copied the damn intro melody from this song
Suicide ain't no joke😢 great song.
This was much more than i expected!
It's about suicide
Really? Huh. I need to go back and listen again. Share the lyrics if you're so inclined? Cheers!
Please stop using the term “ hair band “ it’s not endearing. It was started by the thrash and grunge guys as an insult!
I've been using that term for as long as I can remember and NEVER have I heard anyone say it's an insult. From this Gen Xer, being in a "Hair Band" was the COOL thing. Everyone wanted to be them or be with them. In the 80's, early 90's it was our Generation and we didn't worry about "insulting" others...Finger to the over-sensitized. "Thrash & Grunge", WISHED they could do what HAIR BANDS did! LOLOL...Chill.
@REACTIONDIARIES oh yes! I love your reply! Ty!
