This does look pretty cool but this is pretty far from reminding me of Quake either aesthetically nor gameplay. It looks and plays like ultrakill with a psychedelic version of dooms hell levels. This could never be considered a soulslike as you are far too powerful. That's the difference between Quake and DOOM and Dark Souls and DOOM: in Dark Souls, you have next to nothing but your own skill and strategies. You never get the ability to fly across the maps a million miles an hour.
@@ZlimBratSkiI have played through all 3 Dark Souls games hundreds of times. This is nothing like them aesthetically. Way too colorful. You should play through Dark Souls 3 so you can see that this game looks nothing like them.
@@ZlimBratSkiPlaying through the Quake remaster made me realize how much Quake and the Soulsborne series have in common. They both give you only the basic tools you need for the majority of the game. The enemies all have homing missiles that fly around corners etc, things you can't do. So like in Dark Souls where you're just a random undead with a sword, you have to use your brain and skill to overcome the odds. In Quake, you have to not blow yourself up with a rocket launcher like I always do.

Did you like Elden Ring? We always talk about fps here but I like a lot of other games too. I think fps games are my favourite genre but 3rd person RPGs based in sword fighting, parrying and magic powers are some of my most played games
I never played Elden ring or Dark souls but I love me a good RPG, for example Darksiders is one of my absolute favorite game franchise ever On the channel I decided to cover FPS games but in the Discord or in the comments feel super free to talk about all and any game I'm a diverse gamer even tho FPS is my favorite genre
You should give Elden Ring a try. Although, for the uninitiated, it can be tough; but once you get a grip of mechanics, you’ll be fine. Hey, great video! I might check this game out…. Still playing Turbo Overkill atm :)
@@lpcoolee Thanks for also recommending it. It's hard to get used to like many Fromsoft games. I would still suggest it as a newcomers first "soulslike" game. When I compare it to Bloodborne, Sekiro or DS3, I would definitely recommend a new player start with Elden Ring. It seems way more accessible in terms of combat and allowing the player to change up their character to suit them
Great vid Zlim to a very promising game. What I totally like is the permadeath feature and of course the design of the stages. Fantastic artstyle. But what I don't like yet, is the weapon design and the enemies. And damn mate, you defintely lost your hair 🤩

heya dude nice video, just for saying that NO the game is not slow, it depend of how you play it. on your video you clearly play differently than i am. try the shotgun with full movement speed, and most important, SLIDE CONSTANTLY you will see, its the best amount of fun you can have (ive finished the game with max difficulty trust me its fun) btw im french sorry if my english is awfull
Thanks man! I might have said that a bit unclear but I don't mean it's a slow game, not by any means 😁 I was just comparing it to some faster games I had played recently, and you can go super fast in this but you are not forced to do it :)
I feel you on that, the more I play these text games for review tho the more I forced myself to read them and it's slowly growing on me as an ok thing haha but I will always prefer voice acting, always.
@@ZlimBratSki Yeah. I don't mind voice acting, either. Like audio logs in games. The Bioshock and Dead Space games had outstanding audio logs. BTW, have you played the Mass Effect games? If you haven't, then good luck reading all the text in those games. LOL. Each game is easily a thick book's worth of text. That series is actually what broke my OCD when it comes to reading text in games.
Shame they used the same "demon slain" pictur card fter beating bosses like demon souls. I get his goal is dark souls fps but atleast give it another name, font, and graphical style.

No it's in the game, that's how it looks when killing bosses :) And the audio is also a reference to demon souls :)

I dont mind it at all, its not been copied straight off but it is very similar and I like it tbh :)
