- A video of the Australian prime minister Julia Gillard accusing the opposition leader of sexism has gone viral.
Ms Gillard accused Mr Abbott of sexism saying she had been offended by his actions over the years, including when he stood next to a sign stating "ditch the witch" and another that described her as "a man's bitch".
"If he wants to know what misogyny looks like in modern Australia, he doesn't need a motion in the House of Representatives, he needs a mirror," she added.

Alot of leak's under the Turnbull government revealed that Tony Abbott wasn't getting votes for various positions at all, Turnbull at the last minute did alot of phone call's & mail out's to save him.
But all that community service still didn't save him in the end as a woman replaced him at Warringah.
Trying to promote someone who's a misogynist & who had a best selling book doing the rounds on his affair with his former staffer destroying his government is like trying to put Harvey Weinstein next to a beautiful woman & tell him to leave her alone - it's a hopeless case.
The world doesn't need misogynist's like Tony Abbott & Harvey Weinstein.
I have never disliked a politician as much as I disliked Tony Abbott. His behaviour, the disgusting things he said and the sneering looks he gave made my skin crawl.

Because she had the courage to admit she was wrong and so change her mind about an important policy which she had earlier promised she wouldn't introduce. Because of this broken promise - which really it was - she was labelled a 'liar' (which to me is strange - since when is changing your mind about something classed as a lie?)

It's amazing that I watched this youtube clip when it first came out and at the time there was a lot of negative comments (most of the comments) about Gillard on the Sky news site. Most of the comments (as I recall) were like an echo chamber of each other. What is so strange is that 7yrs later, barely any negative comments remain. There are plenty of positive comments that remain from same time period, so where have the negative comments gone? How many of those negative comments were written by paid lobbyists and not real people. Gillard was hated by the mining lobby and I wouldn't past them to try and sway opinion in their favour.
The negative comments are stripped out - 100% on the Guardian site showing the same video ...... cant let anything spoil the image of an internationally acclaimed intellectual lightweight ......

Changing subjects - I have always been puzzled why he didnt move to Indonesia to be closer to his beloved 'Bapak' Soeharto after he lost the 1996 election but in retrospect it would have been a short stay (but deeply pleasurable I am sure) because his Buddy Soeharto the Dictator was out of office in 1998 ..... but hey whats a lot of money, national security and fun and games between super close friends - right? The treatment of women in this country has continued to be as poor as it was the day it was called out in Parliament house.
The shame belongs to all of us when each of us stands by and says nothing when anyone is treated differently because of gender.
A person's integrity and kindness is what truly matters.
We as a country deserve a higher standard from all our politicians we deserve more.
We deserve the best representations regardless of gender. We deserve honour and respect.

The fact is she decided to espouse some postmodern feminist theory in Parliament and used the Leader of the Opposition as the heinous subject of contention .
