- Can I Beat BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 Rogue's HARDEST Game Mode? This game mode made by @menddev has random rounds, bosses, and a roguelike unlocking system for your towers & heroes - this is me attempting to beat the hardest game mode in this mod.

I couldn't back out as I had a bit of an issue with saves disappearing while doing this run, otherwise that probably would've prevented a couple of those deaths...

ISAB is the type of guy to use the stairs instead of an elevator just to have the added difficulty to make it fun

this mod seems pretty balanced all things considered. This run was lost twice. If this is treated as a roguelike then death would be a total reset. And backing out and going back in is already the biggest cheese of btd6 which in comparison to rougelikes id say is easily equivalent to save scumming which is generally thought to go against the spirit of a rougelike anyway. So from a balance prospective you have to look at it in the way its intended to be played. In this case no continues, or backing out. When played like that making the greedy play has consequences. Trying to hold out for that upgrade, or save money just incase of something might happen, or you might need is a legitimate gamble. If your not able to drop the towers fast enough or you think your defense is good enough and its not then you lose and restart. Using continues or backing out right before death means there is almost no lose state, you can and should win almost every one of these rouguelike runs. Its nearly impossible to make something balanced and fair if you try to account for those things because the result would mean you have to make it so difficult that even the slightest non optimal choice by the player has to result in failure. This isnt ment to be a slight at the mod maker or at ISAB by the way. More so its just an observation at the idea and difficulties that come to balancing a mode like this in the context of btd6 and being a rougelike. In fact I would say the mod maker has done a good job balancing this and that this video was very entertaining.

A Btd6 RPG needs to be a thing
With some smaller tweaking and boss scaling (Maybe multiple boss?) this mod would be insanely fun.
With some balancing changes to this, I could genuinely see this being a real game mode in the future

I found I had much more fun with this mid when I changed it to start out by giving out tier 3s, skipping the giving out tier 2s

If ive learned anything from Risk of Rain 2 it is that you can die as many times as you want in rougelike games without losing your run (funny teddy bear)

I really hope NK adds a rogue-like game mode. Also, this mod needs some sort of relic system and to remove continues lol

I think one thing that can be done for balancing is slowing down how fast players get the towers. In most roguelikes, you level slower/get less money towards the end, making it much harder to scale the same amount as early game. I see getting towers every 10(?) rounds as "leveling up". And slowing that (maybe taking 1 round longer every time you choose towers, i.e. 10 rounds -> pick - 11 rounds -> pick -12... etc) would probably be the way to go.
I also like to start with beast handler cause Dino for damage fish for Moab’s or big bloons and bird for Camo and pull back

Is the mod bugged or something bc it seems you can just get whatever tower/cross path you want
no you can just get every tier 2. So if you get a 050 tower it's actually a 252 (but of course you can only get 1 tier 2 path)

You can no longer complete 2 mega pops challenge I think because of the update removing regrow pops from chimps count, you now get 1.700.000 pops
i don't think that's how that works
? You just have an easier time seeing if you got the 2 million
CHIMPS has over 2 million pops *before* regrows, that’s the whole point of the challenge. Nobody has ever regrown over 300000 Bloons in CHIMPS

Isabs content quality has really gone down lately. Seems like he isn't really enjoying btd6 anymore. If he's not enjoying then the viewers definitely aren't. 😢
