Gaza: Situation in Rafah taking heavy toll

The desperate situation in Rafah is taking a heavy toll on the mental health of our patients and colleagues.
Here’s what Davide Musardo, our mental health activity manager in Gaza, told us: "In our hospital, the constant sound of the explosions is making every intervention really difficult...this is triggering, it's recalling the traumatic events that, of course, our patient[s] lived, many times in seven months of war.
We are providing psychological support also for our medical staff, [who are] constantly exposed to the pain of our patient[s]. And at the same time, they are victims themselves of this war. And [like] other victims here, they lost their house, relatives, families, friends, colleagues..."
