Finally got to see one of the pups I've been hearing about - what a sweetheart! Breathtaking vistas! Luv the history, both real & reimagined. Sea & sun, sky & stone, blossom-covered cliffsides - thx so much for this one. Still stuck inside for the most part, as many of us are - what a much-needed lift to the spirit is nature's bounty! On other hand, had similar situation here awhile back, when parks & their services shut down but the people did not. Plus, following extended shut-downs elsewhere, certain scenic routes reopened, immediately becoming clogged w/bumper-to-bumper carloads of folk in search of outdoor adventure instead spending hrs, 'midst lovely landscapes, choking on each others' exhaust. Methinks I'll tag along w/u instead.
"As ling as he doesn't disappear down a hole, he has the car keys"...i laughed out loud at this...that is so something a 25yr plus married person would say!! Way to go Sarah...and yes we love you Andrew!!! Lol!
Just awesome this coastline...and as a Polldarkfan a special treat.😁😁😁...Thank you for sharing this interesting History of Cornwall and all the distress People had to Go trough to survive....😳 This colder Weather had hit Germany also and brought some much needed Rain here... not enough, but we didn't get that wind...you Two are so much Fun to watch....Stay safe and take care...Love from Germany...Dagmar 🤗🤗🤗
I just so LOVE that doggy of yours....complete with his seagull neckerchief! The image of him staring out at the ocean at 12.38 on the vid is just so evocative of your family walks & the stunning scenery to go with it. Lovely. You know I love a Poldark theme! The last time I was at Botallack was Christmas Day a few years ago. We spent 4 days in Cornwall & went on a hike up there....wild, windy, deserted & an alternative way of spending the holiday period. Sad to see tho that Ross's house from the 70s in decline. Pity Aidan wasn't lurking around one of the mine houses to direct you onto the right path....your trusty compass did the trick in the end! Great walk. J x
So wonderful! The beautiful flowers, the sun, the green, the sea, the history, and you guys having fun and conversation. Thank you so much, Sarah and Andrew and Doggie!
We loved this, and a real treat to have a longer video; interesting heritage and spectacular scenery. It adds to the enjoyment when one temporarily mislays oneself!
LOL! Yes, this book is a little bit older and packed full of information so tricky sometimes to see the directions! We have learned to take our map with this one!! Sarah :)
It's a wonderful walk we love Botallack Mines with the rough sea and the waves. We did this hike in 2018 because the valley was completely overgrown and we also had to find the way. A beautiful landscape. Thanks for the great video stays healthy.
Some of my favourite spots on the planet! Lived for 4 years across from the top of the road that follows the stream all the way down the valley. Often sat on the outcrop of rocks opposite the cape on a nice spongey patch of grass with the rock for a backrest. Will be repeating that again ASAP from Spain! Thanks very much for this...and your other vids, which are watched every evening at home now!
So cool! To think you are watching us from Spain! RUclips makes it a small world sometimes, never ceases to amaze me that people all over the world can watch us and our shenanigans! Sarah :)
Pleased to see you out of lockdown. And yes arsenic is very poisonous. At Bulls where I was brought up, we used to dip our sheep in an arsenical brew that was really effective on ticks and lice until it was banned because if the health risk. My father missed a sheep with the crutch one day and fell in the pot dip. My brother and I laughed but Dad did not. He never had trouble with fleas though! Great walk. Thank you. Keep safe.
Hi lovely vlog. Great scenery and wonderful stories along the way. Enjoyed heaps. Thanks so much. Nice to see a different part of my country. Makes me yearn for home.
Stunning! I can't wait for the day we are allowed back to stay overnight again ... so desperate to see my daughter. Yet another beautiful and informative walk. I used to love those blowy days on the beach. Stay safe you two.
Just watched this on the big screen, As usual Beautiful scenery and very informative with giggles thrown in for good measure. Nice to see you guys merging out of Lockdown and look forward to more “Cornish Walking Trails” in the weeks and months to come. Thank you.
Greetings from London. What a lovely, lovely walk!...so cheering to the heart. That dramatic mining heritage coastline and its industrial architecture is one of my favourite parts of Cornwall. Thank you for taking us along x
It was worth staying up late for, I enjoyed watching this. The sea and the beautiful scenery on the cliffs with all the flowers in bloom makes me agree with Andrew that May would be a good time to go to. It was fun to see you both get lost too. I did get a bit dizzy with the circular camera work though, LOL. It was a fun video to watch. I can barley type. Good video, Sarah and Andrew. Have a good week.
LOVE to get lost with you both 😍 A wonderful, wonderful, wonderful video. Enjoyed the historic details, the amazing sea views, flowers, your comments......but also I found some information sad and scaring: about the children, the arsen - and the adder 😉😁 Thank you so much. I wish so much we could have taken our visit to Jacqui !!! Therefore I appreciate your news from Cornwall ❣❣❣ Take good care 💟
Beautiful video and a lot of interesting stories, and the enjoyable conversation (as always). This is one of the breathtaking stretches from our walks last year. We passed here on a very clear day in July, and we could even spot the Isles Of Scilly between Crown Mines and Cape Cornwall. I took some photos with my zoom camera :-) We also have sea thrifts here in Norway. Tomorrow I will take a trip to a nearby island and have a walk there and see some of these pink beauties. The weather forecast finally predicts warm and lovely weather :-) Thank you for showing me this area again :-) Torunn.
Thoroughly enjoyed your video as always - much better than anything on TV at the moment! Know what you mean about the strange atmosphere too. Although it's a novelty to have Cornwall to ourselves (we live in Helston) with everything shut and so few people around (unheard of in May!) it does feel a bit odd and soulless. Fingers crossed things will improve soon. Stay well both of you and keep up the great work. Gary.
They had a hard life working on that coast, but what a wonderful place to walk now. Thanks for showing what we are missing. Your new header photo, is it of the shingle beach at Durgan on the Helford ?
Just watched. What can we say? No words to describe. So much looking forward to being back there again. Love the pasties. Is it your own "recipe" Sarah? 😀!
Thanks! Please give your daughter our apologies and forgive me but we don't like to release our dog's name in line with guidance - RUclips is a weird and wonderful world! Sarah :)
Lovely video - my favourite part of Cornwall (and the World), haven't made it down there yet this year but looking forward to. and I agree, May is stunning, those little patches of thrift flowers! It's worth checking out Michael Palin's "Ripping Yarns - Mr Winfrey's Last Case" on RUclips - it's not only very funny and much of it filmed round there.

Our weather has changed since, we have had lots of rain, enough for the crops to grow - and the weeds! Sarah :)

Только что перевел ваш комментарий, большое спасибо за просмотр, и я рад, что вам нравятся наши шахты, я думаю, гномам они тоже понравятся! Sarah

Lovely comment and thanks for your support! It's a bit different this year with no visitors! Sarah :)
I would have thought that in such cool weather there wouldn't be any snakes out . Eyes on the ground and take care.
Oooo! I don't like snakes!! We are invading their territory really though so need to keep a watchful eye! Sarah :)
They had a hard life working on that coast, but what a wonderful place to walk now. Thanks for showing what we are missing. Your new header photo, is it of the shingle beach at Durgan on the Helford ?
10/10! Yes, sort of! Round the corner a bit, Porth Saxon, with the little boat house and pill box, on the way to Mawnan Church! Sarah :)
Just like I was there!
Cheers! Sarah :)
Just watched. What can we say? No words to describe. So much looking forward to being back there again. Love the pasties. Is it your own "recipe" Sarah? 😀!
My own 'recipe', yes! I was trying to make each one different, experimenting really! Sarah :)
They’re lovely 💕
