Just came across your walks. This walk in particular must have been so much better as the tourists were not there! Cornwall is beautiful and you are blessed with such lovely walks too. Hope to view more of you videos as the history is fascinating too.
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful walk. Looked so peaceful, definitely ‘get away from it all’ area. Loved the banter haha. Looking forward to the next walk 😊
Hi Sarah and Andrew thank you for another fantastic video really cheered me up this afternoon I’m feeling a lot better now atb to you both and stay safe. Glenn
I was in Port Navas, Mawnan Smith and Swanpool all through the war and watched those American boys training for the Normandy landings right where you were pointing out the concrete road !!
Port Navas 39-41, Mawnan Smith 41-42, and Swanpool from there on! US fire fighting base in Swanpool where the car park is now (it was all rushes until they ripped them out). Hundreds of convoys going through ! Black troop convoys and white troop convoys and never the “twain should meet”........seems incredible looking back.....so awful...
Lovely video guys, awesome scenery, looks so amazing where you are on your trail, just love ❤️ the banter between the both of you, Carry on enjoying your trail walks
This has to be one of your best walks so far! Clearly, your local knowledge pays off! We thoroughly enjoyed the video, not only because it is another superb edit, but it evoked memories of our stay and walks in the area last year. We did, in fact, cover much of this walk ourselves. Like all the tidal rivers and estuaries we have visited on the Cornish south coast the scenery is spectacular.
We have spent a week for the last 10 years at a place up by Mawnan church, so know this area very well, but it looks a picture with the Foxgloves out. The sound of the waves ,make me long for September, when, if this virus has gone, we will back down again. Many thanks for showing me what i have been missing. Stay healthy.
One of my favourite places. I love Durgan and have done the walk to the “Ferryboat Inn” lots of times. A wonderful part of Cornwall and you certainly chose a super day to do it. The quality of your video’s are brilliant which make them so easy to watch & your banter makes us laugh. Thank you for another enjoyable “Cornish Walking Trails”.
Liz and I have loved your channel, started looking for a pasty recipe. We are in the boarding Midlands, locked down . I've had an exciting day with a walk to Iceland to get the shopping. So we have watched loads of your recordings. Liz visits Cornwall every year with her family and so we have loved you both. Andrews addiction. To pasty and Ice cream and Sarah's giggles have really cheered us up...big thank you. P.S. to Andrew 're ancient engravings, see the Egyptian carved statue of Tolermy cr2000bc so perfect in facial proportions we would have difficulty reproducing it today...
Great message and thank you! I hope you continue to watch and we help you through lockdown. For a minute I thought Iceland the country until i realised - lol! Sarah :)
We will be staying nearby here in October (well, I hope so anyway). I love your ''homemade walks'' .... they make the walks personal & very enjoyable with your ever faithful doggy by your side. It looks really lovely at Durgan....will put it on our ''to do'' list. J x
Beautiful area and lovely video :-) This path is on the plan for 2021, and we will most certainly have an overnight stay in Mawgan Smith :) Thank you for all the good tips. Now we will be well prepared when we are walking there ourselves. And thank you for the heads up for the ferry flag at Helford Passage :) And for the great additional info in the Patreon link :)
Gorgeous walk! Maybe you guys could write your own walking trails/Cornwall ebook. I love how your doggie never passes up a chance to dig in the sand while at the beach :)
It's a lovely place. I think a lot of people would be jealous of you in Brisbane. I lived in Australia for 10 years for work. Absolutely my favourite country.
Thank you for filming your Interesting walk. I have an illness called M.E. Which Means I cannot go far, just out With our dog on short walks. So I really enjoyed being able to see Cornwall Beaches in this way. Thank you God Bless
Thanks for another glorious virtual day out! Glorious! Andrew and Sarah ,can you tell me which walking guide books are your favourites? Any you would recommend?
I think my favourite is the Classic Walks Cornwall book, a green one with 60 circular walks, rarely get lost, even though its quite old. Bossiney walk books are good - they do the "short walks" series. Another I would recommend is the Walks for All Ages. And we have several on Patreon with an instructional video and written instructions! Sarah :)
Cornish Walking Trails Thanks for the recommendations, I shall definitely look out for those books and appreciate the helpful info! We are getting closer to our move down to the SW by the day ,though it looks like we may be just over the border in Devon! Will you still speak to me??
That was a thoroughly delightful walk, a bit of everything, thank you for sharing 👏 Loved the 4 beaches 🏖️passing thru, I probably would have had a quick dip in each one! 😁🏊 Perfect day 🌞and lovely countryside🌿🌻 made me quite nostalgic for England!
Such lovely villages and homesteads, some with their very own private beaches (must be nice, eh?) But that's okay, we're with you, and you know where all the hot, and cool, spots are! The sunlight glinting off the surf, the sounds of ocean wave and wind through tall trees, and everything adorned with flowers of varying height and hue echoes in my mind's eye/ear and imagination long after video's end. Beautiful!
All being well we shall be staying for a week in Bosveal (Bosloe House- 6.15 in the video) in september and so looking forward to coming back.Thank you both for wonderful videos.
Good morning from Durban, South Africa. I really enjoy your channel and during lock down it's been my morning routine to make porridge and sit down and watch a couple of episodes (to get out the house). I have been watching your videos from old to new, but I do watch the latest ones as you release them. You are so lucky to live is such a beautiful area and having all that scenery so accessible. Keep it. Thank you.
Beautifully filmed walk...feel refreshed just from watching! Those tall confers may be 'Monterey Pines'? - they seem to be popular in Cornwall. I think Andrew's theory is correct, originally they would have been planted as windbreaks. I like the way they get shaped by the prevailing winds x
Bethsheeba I’d guess they’ll get quite battered during a storm, but seeing as they are a couple of hundred years old they’ve obviously survived the storms well. I’m sorry I’ve not really answered your question though.
Just found your channel, good for some walk ideas, especially when outside is all we have right now! I live near Rock. Did the Port Quinn to Port Isaac and back walk the other weekend which was a fitness workout for sure! Where do you live?
Hello really enjoying your walks I lived in Cornwall for 9 years miss it so so much please would it be possible to do drives or walks for disabled people please I’m in a wheelchair Thank you
Lovely video. For some years I took holidays in a beautiful farm cottage at Mawnan Smith. Am I correct in thinking it's quite close to the garden at Glendurgan? I retire next year, and seeing this is making me want to move here permanently. Thank you for uploading this gorgeous video.
Wow! I’ve never been this early to one of your videos guys! I love your content, my husband and I are visiting Cornwall in September ( 🤞🏻) entirely due to your lovely content. It will be my first ever visit to Cornwall. We are hoping to visit port Isaac for one day, we’ve booked dinner at one of Rick Steins restaurants (the one in Padstow) I’m looking forward to trying Cornish cream tea, a proper pastie and loads of lovely seafood. If I can be so bold as to ask you a question, what drink should I look out for? I like wine, cider, beer, gin and other boozy drinks. Do you know if any locally produced gems I _need_ to be aware of?
Everywhere is gearing up to welcome visitors once again. Lots of social distancing measure in place. Tarquin's is a Cornish gin brand although I am not a gin expert! Bustopher Jones in Truro seem to have every gin imaginable. As for cider, Healey's make rattler and there is a really good one called Touchwood, similar to a french cider! Sarah :)
I love this area. There are so many lovely views and the Ferryboat is a great place to sit with a pint of cornish cider on a hot day.
It really is! I love cider Sarah :)
Absolutely agree with you. I used to holiday at Mawnan Smith and this beautiful video brings back many happy memories.
M Scott I was due to visit last week but alas...
@@nickhall7894 Ah, sympathy then. It's a lovely place to be. I'm retiring in January and we are seriously thinking about moving down there.
As always lovely, glad to see you both well enjoying and sharing with us, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it Sarah :)
That was such a pleasure to watch. You really live in paradise.
What a good idea to make your own walks! Beautiful! Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it! Sarah :)
Beautiful place,I start thinking visit this summer!
You should! and have fun, Sarah :)
Just came across your walks. This walk in particular must have been so much better as the tourists were not there! Cornwall is beautiful and you are blessed with such lovely walks too. Hope to view more of you videos as the history is fascinating too.
Yes it was! We have plenty of videos to choose from although the earlier ones may look a bit different! Sarah :)
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful walk. Looked so peaceful, definitely ‘get away from it all’ area. Loved the banter haha. Looking forward to the next walk 😊
Thanks for watching and commenting! Sarah :)
Thank you for sharing, Cornwall is on my bucket list and I'd like to start ticking the boxes sooner rather than later!
Fingers crossed that we will all be out and about soon! Sarah :)
How interesting! I hope we had most of our facts right! Sarah :)

Probably the best walk out there...great video!
I hoped you would watch! Grebe beach was looking particularly gorgeous! Sarah :)
Great video as always, thank you very much. Lovely to see all the different places, especially when some of us are locked down 👍
Our pleasure! I hope your lock down relaxes soon! Sarah :)
Thank you for your wonderful walk. Bleibt Gesund Günter
Another beautiful walk, Sarah and Andrew. I do look forward to your weekly programs.

Hi Diana, We love this area, great views, fab pubs and some gorgeous gardens too! Sarah :)
Thankyou Sarah, Andrew and Doggie, what a beautiful day you have had.
We enjoyed this walk hugely! A real treat, Sarah :)

Hi Peter! Glad you liked the video! Sarah :)
Your videos make me so excited for my holiday to Cornwall again in 9 weeks😬🎉 getting lots of ideas for walks and beaches x

Very cool! Me too! Sarah :)

@@CornishWalkingTrails We''ll have to take the ferry to continue on the path. I am sure I will love it 🥰
Lovely walk. I had to laugh at the way Andrew helped the dog over the tree and then left Sarah to climb over on her own!!
His excuse is that someone had to film me! LOL! I think he is waiting for the clip to send to 'You've been framed'! Sarah :)
Just beautiful! ❤️
Thank you! 😊Sarah :)
Lovely video of a beautiful area and so welcome during lockdown.
Hope you're both keeping safe and well :)
Thank you very much! And we are still filming and making new content!! Sarah :)
Congratulations on 5K subscribers!
Thank you! We made it!! Sarah :)
Gorgeous walk! Maybe you guys could write your own walking trails/Cornwall ebook. I love how your doggie never passes up a chance to dig in the sand while at the beach :)
He loves digging!! I think he would be a bit of a nuisance if we went to a crowded beach, Sarah :)
Thank you for this beautiful walk. Loved the time you spent filming the water. Also thank you for the history too.
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it and we love a bit of history! Sarah :)
Wonderful walk and edit. Some beautiful beaches and scenery along the way.
Many thanks! Sarah :)
lovely walk guys, stuck in Brisbane Australia, very jealous you have this in your backyard, thank you for bringing it to us.
Thanks for watching and we will be venturing out in the backyard to film more videos! Sarah :)

I was really disappointed that we didn't have time to take a dip, not even to paddle! Takes us way too long when filming!! Sarah :)

What a beautiful sunshiny day. Are you going to do anymore cooking videos. I would love to know all about the Cornish hot-pots.
Yes, soon we are planning to make scones for National (UK) Cream Tea Day on the last Friday in June, Sarah :)

Cornish Walking Trails their from South Africa not Australia 😂. Keep up the good videos !
Hopefully in July we will be doing some walks in the glorious sunshine in Cornwall can’t wait
Fingers crossed for you and I hope you have your holiday! Sarah :)

Some wonderful shaped trees in Cornwall but the pine looks really impressive, possibly coz they are so tall! Sarah :)
People wonder why we are going to move to Cornwall! Beautiful place.
Share our videos with them - then they will get it!! Sarah :)
I am planning to move to this area when I retire next year. It's really one of the most beautiful areas of the country.
Watching 4 years later and people still don’t know what happened in 2020.
Always entertaining.
Another great video. Love Durgan beach and the stone cottages. Would they be flooded during a storm? Cheers from Oz.
Bethsheeba I’d guess they’ll get quite battered during a storm, but seeing as they are a couple of hundred years old they’ve obviously survived the storms well. I’m sorry I’ve not really answered your question though.
Most likely, some had the storm barrier slots, but they are pretty far up the Helford, a long way from the sea! Sarah :)
Just found your channel, good for some walk ideas, especially when outside is all we have right now!
I live near Rock. Did the Port Quinn to Port Isaac and back walk the other weekend which was a fitness workout for sure!

The Port Quin walk is amazing! Forgive me, but we don't like tell people where we live, Sarah :)
@@CornishWalkingTrails I didn't mean your precise address! Just wondered, town/city, area. 🙄🤦♀️

Yes, it is! Glendurgan is in the same valley as Durgan village. Sarah :)
love it
Tank tracks on wet concrete? Don't think so . Wet concrete is "paddled "with a plank of wood to raise the surface into ridges for grip.

Why is it I can smell misty sea air and seaweed now?
Ian Miller the brain really is a brilliant piece of kit. I know exactly what you mean. 😀
So fresh! Sarah :)

Tell Andrew not to give up his day job......jokes are blooming awful.......stay safe......
