I just bought a 2024 M2 last week, its black sapphire w/cognac interior and manual transmission. Love the car so far but still figuring out all the technology and best settings.
I think it's a long time for people who have the itch to change all the time or people who create content on youtube wanting the newest car to build a channel.
@@robt9790 That's what they used to say and maybe it's the true for people with M engines with that high compression and high power. The last 5 years BMWs got much better. Not saying they are Honda or Toyota reliable, but they have improved in reliability. I know people running B58 engines with modifications and beating on them at 72k miles with absolutely zero issues thus far.
Why would you 'never' get a manual in this car? All bmw have a weak stick shift due to a flexible rubber bushing. A short shifter changes that driving experience completely. Makes it like a Porsche. The clutch I hear needs a CVD delete. Not sure however.
@JVette01 The problem is going to be the surface and will the M2 hook up even with its excellent launch control. If it does, my money is on the M2. The R has no chance from a roll without a TCU and E85 Tune.
@@JVette01Thanks, that gives me a good perspective if I decide to pick one up one day. That Toronto red really pops. After reluctantly selling my 900 awhp Audi RS3 a few weeks ago and stepping into an X4M, I didn’t realize how strong these S58s are.

Nice! Cognac is cool
I find it funny that keeping a car "long term" is 5 years lol
That is long for me 🤣

@@chrisginoc Yea I get that. I also don't blame him since those BMWs get expensive as they get older

Congrats man!! Good to hear u r very satisfied with the car!
As for low torque good to know It is great and not laggy especially at lower rpm!
Thanks!

I’m not a huge fan of manuals in cars that have great automatic transmissions. A Subaru wrx or brz, manual is the way to go
L for the torque converter.
M’s deserve a manual or minimum dct.
Definitely not. This auto is the best torque converter auto I’ve ever driven
glad you have enjoyed the car so far
So dope . That’s exactly how I would spec mine . I currently have a Supra which sits on the M2 chassis and it built in Austria
Nice! The Supra is actually on the Z4 chassis. Much smaller and lighter. The new G87 M2 sits on the M3/M4 chassis.
Do you feel the M2 is any more special driving in city traffic than your Golf R? sound wise?
The exhaust is a little louder, yes. There’s plenty of things the M2 does better and vice versa. Stay tuned for comparison vids in the future! :)
Did you search for a 1/2 hour for your dipstick, only to find out it doesn't have one?
No 😂
Gorgeous car man! I came here for the R but now you got me dreaming about an M series! Damn you lol😂
Why would u *definitely not get the manual?
This car has an excellent automatic trans and I do lots of racing too.
@@JVette01 Good to hear. How is the auto on downshifts? Will it let me downshift late? Like the dct/SMG era?
What do you mean by downshift late?
@@JVette01 does it hesitate or refuse to change gears at any point? Like say, the VW DSG does.
No. As long as the downshift is possible without overrevving then it will allow the downshift.
Nice Car, should be a very close race with the tuned Golf R from a dig.
I agree! Stay tuned. I'll see if my brother will help me set that up soon.

Yeah I’m working on getting in contact with the black MK8R I featured on my channel
I absolutely hate matte finish paint and don't understand it. If BMW would offer their blue in a gloss I think they would sell a lot more.
You know what i'm with you as far as not doing anything to that already amazing car so, i get it.
Someone understands 😂
Nice review bro! Car looks awesome! M2 is expensive 😮!!
Thanks!
Nice looking car! How tall are you?
Thanks! 6’5

@@MatthewJay80Yes, this platform is awesome. Stay tuned, lots of videos lined up already :)
Mustang gt 10 speed?
Yes. You can find it on my playlists
The best coulor is much more broklyn gray for this car@@@
I have a white gti and a g80 in my garage 😅
Nice taste in cars :)
Miss the v8 🥹
V8 sounds cool don’t get me wrong but this engine is where it’s at.. unless you’re talking about twin turbo v8 🤔
Red is is boring colour and to much
Red is amazing
Red is hardly a boring color!
