Very important for us women to understand our reproductive health. As a woman in her mid40s undergoing ivf, I tell other women to have babies early or be prepared emotionally, mentally, and financially to ride the ivf world.
I was 22 when I was told I wouldn't ever get pregnant, with no solid explanation why. I did have 2 babies, that I nearly died from the complications of pregnancy in my mid twenties. I had 2 miscarriages in my early 30's and am very much done having anymore children.
I am sorry for your struggle but if I were you, I would be done after baby #1. I would try not to have any more baby and try to live long to care for that child. It seems reckless to keep having more babies and risk your life and the chance of current baby would lose their mom.

My female cousin age 78 just passed away. Never married or had kids. Earned her masters degree in Journalism and was a cheerleader for Ohio state football. My she was beautiful. Probably was the 1% of the top 10% of women. She dated a handsome guy in college. His family owned the regional news paper. He proposed to her. Offered her everything. A career helping him run the newspaper and a family. She rejected his offer. She thought she could do better. She dated lots of rich men. Didn’t want to marry. At age 30 she worked for a family owned Chocolate company out of Austria. The son of the business absolutely loved her and they began to date. He proposed to her offering a career and a family. For the second time she refused. They broke up. By age 35 guys weren’t dating her anymore. Her beauty was fading. She stayed single for the rest of her life. Every Christmas she’d call my wife and I drunk and crying. I’m all alone! No husband! No children! I didn’t want to hear it and ended the call. My wife and I knew we wanted children. We didn’t play selfish games. My cousin died alone in a nursing home. They cremated her and now my family is deciding what to do with her remains. Most likely she’d be interned with my grandparents. I have no feelings on the matter. She decided for herself and that’s that. I just hope millions of modern women are ready to live as a lonely cat lady for the last 40 years of their lives.
Q: “Am I settling…??” A: Get off social media. Egg freezing and fertility treatments are a business. Businesses will always market the upside of their products. Educate yourself before making any life changing commitments. Otherwise regret and heartache is right around the corner.
Women who freeze their eggs want to be childfree at 25, but they are then likely to want to be childfree also at 35 and permanently. I think that also explains why only 12% use their frozen eggs. Things simply do not change as much as they expect.
Every body is different. I know a lot of women 50y old totaly normal pregnancy and also 20y old who cant have children. It's in our genetics. If you don't have good genetic you are not ment to reproduce. Unfortunately that is something we cant control.ber can just pray 🙏
You are bringing in exceptional cases for some reason. Most women have organs and the necessary genes to reproduce. Her message was powerful, to not rely on egg freezing and other treatments cause they are just businesses and Businesses will always market the upside of their products.

Once someone is not able to have children then they will have different banks giving them an option to freeze eggs without guarantee that you can use them. For example, 10y after you try to use them and there is no embryo. They don't care about genetics it's all about money. No guarantees
Doesn't the new decision in AL about the viability of IVF call all of this into question? I know that these are not fertilized eggs, but eggs that are fertilized outside of the womb will be considered persons, and no clinic or company will want to be legally liable for the transfer. Assurance goes poof, at least for women in the South. Again.
I myself have considered egg freezing but for a totally different reason. I actually have a wonderful partner for almost 9 years now and we want to get married soon - but we currently don't want to have children and aren't sure if we want any at all (we're currently both 30 years old). And yes, maybe we will decide to never have kids - everything inside me is screaming "No! You will maybe love your children, but you will not love motherhood and everything that comes with it." But there's still this little voice inside my head telling me: "Maybe you'll think completely different about children in 6 years". That the actual chances of having a child of those frozen eggs are so little was unknown to me until now - but I'm still considering it because I would be angry at myself if I wouldn't have used this opportunity while I could.

For the vast majority of women, the reality is you must either choose career or family. Trying to do both most likely means you will not reach your full potential in either, simply because of the limitations of time and biology. Making all this effort to fight your natural biological processes is folly.

She said they freeze their eggs because they have not found the person they want, when the reality is modern women does not think about marrying in her prime and play around till they hit the wall. This is brilliant idea but what are the consequences I do not think everything will be fine.
But if women settle with a man who they think will be a good father etc, and it later turns out that he isn’t and she ends up a single mother, she gets 100% of the blame and shame. So you can’t blame women for being choosy and having anxiety about making sure they find a reliable man. Women who are not choosy end up in financially ruinous positions. Plus, many women in their twenties want to settle down, get married, have kids. But men on the whole are “not ready” until their late thirties…by which point it is nearly too late for women to have the family that they want.
@@naomi5495 I do not think most of the women in their twenties want to settle down get married, have kids etc as you said because they are playing around and you can not hide the truth. when it comes to settling down a lot of men in their thirties some in their twenties often propose to women in their twenties but unfortunately end up getting rejected because she does not want to settle down and end the "fun". however, later later on when consequences of their actions catch them they blame men.
