Sinon, hands down, best character in SAO. Best backstory, best storyline, great design and voice-acting (that scream she had after she picked up that gun and started panicking was such a great VA). She's just enjoyable as a character.
I appreciate her take on presenting the unfortunately common but rarely acknowledged hoplophobia. An irrational fear of weapons and/or armed people. Even if again it’s a hilariously unrealistic presentation of bullying with the girls picking on her for stopping a bank robbery. To quote Hellsing ultimate abridged. “How are you not the coolest kid in school”

She and Alice are hands down my favorite characters in the entire series, it’s just a shame that every female in this series is cursed to forever get nerfed to shit when the story seems it and then they all get saved by edgy loner sword nerd
