Fun fact: The ENGLISH VERSION of the game is basically the hard mode of the versions. The later versions of the game released in Japan and the EU had their HP bloat addressed and in many cases, upwards of a third of the boss HP was cut from them to make them less difficult in general.

Items like fire and ice flowers can actually hit flying enemies. They just require both adults and babies so not in this run. To throw the fireballs up instead of down you need to press the babies buttons instead of the adults.
funnily enough this is the second video this week to be uploaded about a babies only PiT run, and without going into one long diatribe i cannot even begin to understate how much better this one is. I was so happy to see this cause that first one was so hard to watch and uncomfortable but literally everything about this one was fun and engaging and worth watching. hearty props

I forgot how many damage sponges there are in this game. Elder Princess Shroob has been a nightmare for so many years, she just doesn't die. Took me like 30 minutes to deal with her in a normal run recently. I couldn't imagine just using babies for like an hour straight on that fight.
Raw pow on mario and raw defense on luigi. Mix flower to destroy most if not all of her limbs then mix flower As for baby only. Same strat but chomp, shell and eggs, eggs are super important since they can give you more chomps
Partners in Time is my favorite of all the M&L games! Bros. Items > Bros. Skills. Really wish they did a remake of it even in the 3DS. But with the Switch now, I can see potential as well. They can zoom out the battlefield for those attacks that take two screens. Smash Egg is really nice and can give you random items. It's not difficult, but I guess with your screen layout, it is, as it takes two screens.

I can't believe people say this is one of the worst M&L games. It's so so good. I actually like the health bloat in this game. It's certainly rough for this challenge, but the length of the battles is great and challenging. Which is okay because the battles are fair and interesting. Great game
15:33 This has very likely been answered but allow me to give some insight on how this attack actually works because it’s a lot more simple than you’d think. Basically, keep an eye on the top screen and which sign equates to what brother (looks at the letter, not the color. This matters!). Wherever the items are crowdsurfed to indicates which brother is being targeted, and the order which they’re dropped is the order the shrooboid brat fires the payload at you. Only other note is that the mushrooms it eats have their effects flipped (mushrooms turn into poison mushrooms and vice versa)
You can but I still had trouble beating the 2nd to LAST boss with the ADULT versions of Mario/Luigi both at LV 40 with 99 Copies of all the Mushroom and Healing Nuts owned since I burned up MOST of them during the battle.

You just made me realize how most of the games in this saga have both inflation and vore in some way... and I don't like it. Heck, in Partners in Time and the first game the vore is just one level, but Bowser's Inside Story is literally a game about vore
28:27 yeah you literally cannot avoid the Elder Shrooboid's Spin-to-win attack, no matter how fast you are, its the first true unavoidable attack in the series, which makes it rng incarnate. it either takes 4 or more hits to stop, since I think you can deff tell that PiT's hammer counter literally isn't made to counter that fast. but looking at a diff video, apparently, the trick to this attack is there's a very, very specific timing you have to swing the hammer at, which seems to be right as Elder Shrooboid's about to spin into you. this either: 1. stops the attack. or 2. weirdly, he passes through you harmlessly.(this one either works on actual console or its an emulator glitch, but it seems you need perfect timing.) other than that, the attack's for the most part, completely unavoidable otherwise cuz there's legit almost nothing info-wise on how to accurately dodge it. good new is you deff can go through the entire fight w/o seeing it once. the whack part bout Pocket Chomp is that, its legit the best True infinite bros item in the game, right next to Red Shell Rhythm minigame since most bosses are 1 target but man, Pocket Chomp's really, really bad against Elder Princess Shroob when her arms are out, but a run-saver when she's alone- I was able to beat PiT at level 23(the sweet-spot) w/no equipment or Badges, no items, Stache only on level up w/all 4 bros in a Nerve mode run due to how PiT's level scaling works. that 9k hp final boss gauntlet is no joke, took me a whole 1-2 weeks to beat them. I think this's technically a good aspect of da American version of PiT, the hp sponge makes it technically harder. but it makes me curious how the EU/JP version would go. I assume it'd be a lot easier cuz you wouldn't haveta stare at the screen doing infinites for as long due to less hp, but the adult bros would prob die in 1 hit, whereas in America version they live 1 hit due to some boss attacks having less power. deff a tough call, but makes the challenges and bosses have interesting differences. da PiT's nerve mode's deff made slightly easier by the fact you never have to reset for level ups since for whatever reason, PiT's level up roulette is bugged. like when you press A literally exactly where the +2 would be, it just defaults to +1 so you're basically suck with +1s after the first level up 💀
