The fact that Hitchcock was able to make a full length movie set in just one single location and still have it THIS visually pleasing is amazing (same with ROPE that was originally a stage play). They could have easily just have had the window facing a single brick wall on the other side but he decided to give the courtyard a personality of itself.
Yes sir ☺️ lol 🤣🤣
what a masterpiece. This scene is pure Edward hopper, the loneliness of a woman inside his apartment.
When I saw this as a young person, I was much like Jimmy Stewart's character: observing poor Miss Lonelyhearts with a mixture of bemusement and pity. But now divorced and middle-aged, 1:51-2:03 hits a bit too close to home. It's been beer instead of wine and TV rather than a make-believe dinner guest, but the pathos is similar.
"She was so lonely that death seemed like a friend"
Yes sir 😺
The realisation that Ms Lonely Hearts doesn't have a date, but is seemingly practising, only for it to become clear that she's pretending...
Mrs lonely hearts she was such a beautiful soul full of love and romance she just wanted to be loved. Her date was an idiot.
Grace Kelly at 2:05-2:20 looks directly into the camera, it gives such impression that looking at Miss Lonely Heart she sees her own future life. Very sorry for her. She deserved much more happiest life.
Seems rather bold of Miss Torso to entertain 3 men at once in her apartment ?
ive had more than that
Yes, that she seemed to have no girlfriends to make the gathering a party- - looks bad.
What I imagine is that she gave out random verbal invitations for ones to stop by after a theater-related social gathering they were all attending earlier..Certainly she would never expect
ALL these men to show up, and w/o dates..Yeesh! It looks like a nightmare!
true, but at least these guys didnt bring dates they were not interested in, when they really wanted her.
I imagine they were investors for an upcoming ballet, and she was expected to "butter them up".
Risky business 😔
Poor Ms lonelyhearts.. and her date ended up abusing her
Well that was kinda depressing to watch
I Like your Movie's Alfred Hitchcock and your my best friend forever and always and I loved u too Alfred
You're missing the entrance of Grace Kelly?
Soooo disappointing! Plus, the scene where Doyle is eyeballing her "overnight"
case & lingerie/slippers! I love all her wardrobe. .she was so very lovely.
Name of the song?
To See You Is To Love You
by Bing Crosby
@@weissbrotlazr4038 thanks 😀😀😀😀
Anyone know the name of the song and singer playing in the background?
‘To see you, is to love you” by Bing Crosby (1952)
Juggling? Lol 🤣🤣😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣😆🤣🤣🤣🤣😆🤣🤣🤣
This group of Hitchcock says it's full episodes, but I'm not sure if any of them are. I know for sure this is not.

I never liked her acting or accent
Welcome to your world of 'few.'
You are a Jerk, she was the best! And she won oscar’s for her acting. She was better than Marilyn Monroe! Yes, I know Marilyn won an Oscar.😊
*and she won an Oscar.
YOU are the ignorant jerk and your English is abysmal. Plenty of actors and directors have won Oscars undeservingly.
