There's a scene in I Confess that strikes me as one of the most memorable in Hitchcock films: when the killer is telling the priest that he cannot reveal his secret for as long as he is a priest. Meanwhile, he's walking away from the killer and the camera closes in on his face to show his reaction. Just some seconds, but that's pure cinema. Great acting by Montgomery Clift.
I love all these old classical thriller , crime movies in the golden age of cinematic excellence purely divine n worth every time, minute, seconds of your entire life here earth thanks somhch n more success for the coming films in petto chapeau!!!!! 😅😅😅😅😅🎉🎉🎉🎉
Two shots I miss because they are not just effective but so BEAUTIFUL. In Saboteur, the shot of the smoke coiling across the enormous metal doors of the aircraft plant. And above all, one of the most extravagantly lovely shots of all thirties cinema: in 39 Steps, the death of Mr. Memory with a brightly lit line of chorus girls in diminishing perspective in the middle of the scene.
@@Adyfilk Its fun to respond and give my two cents but don't lose your own particular taste - you made some brave and really interesting choices from Torn Curtain and even Skin Game. Cool.
IMO Hitchcock, Kubrick, and Kurosawa are the three greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time. Nearly every great modern filmmaker has been inspired by at least one of those three, and you are bound to find at least one film from each director in any reputable film critics' list.
Ingmar Bergman openly stated that Hitchcock taught him so much about cinema. Bergman even took a scene from Paradine Case with Charles Laughton and Ethyl Barrymore at table, a broken wine glass etc. and put it in his film Cries and Whispers. The main lesson is SHOW it don't tell it.
Nice compilation, well edited with the music. It's a credit to Hitchcock that so many other 'beautiful' shots are missing, but I am amazed the death of Karin Dor in Topaz isn't there.
Thanks!🙏 Sure. Still, there are some other great cinematic shots from Hitchcock films are missing. May be, if I will create a second part of this video, I will try to include them.👍
The missed murder scene in "Dial M for Murder" is there but it's too short. This is for me the most beautiful scene of the Hitchcock movies. But of course that's a very personal opinion. And then Grace Kelly ❤❤❤❤
My first favourite video😍 (and the cinematic Sergio Leone films video ranks second) and you said he directed over 50 films but I only see a few where is Always Tell Your Wife (1923) and more
Great!👍 Yes. There are a few Hitchcock film not included in this video. I was able to get access/download the films that are mentioned in the video description only.
I read some complaints about" missing scenes" in this wonderful edited video.. Is it a sign of our times, or were the people always that picky: I don't remember it that way-people have been thankful.. In a way I am! Thank you very much, also the music was teriffic, there was a strong sense of dramatic build-up which the chosen music pieces helped to create:-)
I feel like you're selecting significant moments as well as good compositions. The former tends to be a clever storytelling shot or sequence of frames the latter is more about visual composition through the camera lens.
What would have been easier for us to view this video was to put the title (and year) of the film a little higher and to the middle. As soon as we notice the film and glance down to see the film title, the film title has changed.
The greatest film director that has ever walked upon this earth.
Most of Mr. HITCHCOCKs leading ladies have passed away 😢 Miss Hedren is still with us, as is Miss Baker, and Julie Andrews, and I forget who else.

True. The mannerisms by Montgomery Clift were terrific in the film.👍
The Beauty Of Alfred Hitchcock!

Far too few scenes from 'Vertigo', his masterpiece.
A master at “visual storytelling” and compelling use of music in his films.
Great compilation.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks.🙏👍

You could probably do videos of just his driving scenes, Jimmy Stewart scenes, Cary Grant scenes, and of course Grace Kelly scenes.
Thanks for the suggestions.👍BTW I am working on the video of Grace Kelly and might upload it soon.
Spectacular montage! Could easily be on any top awards/tribute program. High quality picture and sound with a fitting soundtrack.
Wow! Thanks so much!🙏👍

Great video. Please make a video on the filmography of Sidney Lumet
Thanks! Sure, I will start working on it and upload soon.
Ok thanks
The most beautiful shot in his filmography is the Lisa presentation in Rear Window.
Grace Kelly looked wonderful in that scene/film.👍
I was about to write that it misses Lisa's entrance in Rear Window :)
Nice video 👍🏻
Thanks!👍🙏
For people shots, I prefer the post war Italians. With Hitchcock, I like the stories and use of suspense

Love this one. Music?
Thanks!🙏The Soundtracks used -
1) Suspense Cinematic - cleanmindsounds
2) Epic Suspenseful Cinematic - DivaProductionMusic
3) Dark - Silverhoof
Good day boys and girls, a few of the actors from Rear Window went on to be in PERRY MASON episodes. Miss Jesslyn Fax, Frank Cady and Wendell Corey
I love your channel! Please do one for Eric Rohmer movies :)
Thanks!🙏 Sure. I will work on the 'cinematic shots' video of Eric Rohmer soon.👍
@@Adyfilk do u have an ig page I can follow?
@@DylansMrJones-fz2nq Yes. We do have an IG and a FB page. But we don't post much there.

Important shots from 'Spellbound' missing.
Please do one of David Lynch's movies!
I am actually working on David Lynch video only.👍And might upload in the next few days too.
I like Torn Curtain 😫 it was not well received, a lot of people say it is not HITCHCOCKS best.

There is the possibility to watch videos again... and again... ;-p
Why did you put that music in the video? :(
I liked it.
@@poetcomic1 great music. Names?
Overall I don’t understand your segment in its entirety? You are missing many beats…
Et Frenzy
I prefer the stories than the shots.
They're inseparable from each other, mate. Think about how much he tells us through his shots
