I heard a review of Rear Window and the reviewer kept using the word "cozy". The film is cozy. The setting is cozy. The plot. The dialogue. Everything. And I agree, much of the appeal of Rear Window is its cozy tone and texture.

An excellent movie. Sadly many today need constant titillation and don't have the attention span for more than a couple of short lines of dialogue.

Put Grace Kelly on the screen please. I want to see her.

I can't disagree with Lieutenant Doyle (played by Wendell Corey) for the simple reason that he's not seeing what the other three are seeing. And all he has to work with is 2nd hand information from a man (played by Jimmy Stewart) who has nothing to do all day but look out his window.

I gotta be honest.. I found it hard to follow the last 3 minutes for the picking up of the singing training that took me back to years I'd rather hush down forever. 😅 Confusing.
