Water, Love Unlimited and Bones mean so much for me, I will always be thankful for these songs. Thank you Bulgaria, and thank you ESC for making this possible. Without this show I probably would never have listened to a single Bulgarian song.
2005: Not Bad 2006: Better But Still Not THAT Good 2007: GODLY SUPER GOOD 2008: DJ TAKE ME AWAY TO HEVEN This Is Good 2009: This Is Decent 2010: Not Good 2011: Her 2016 Is Better TBH 2012: Great 2013: SAMO SHAMPIONI YEAAAAAA 2016: GODLY SO GOOD MY 3RD 2017: MY WINNER VERY GODLY 2018: Great
I am bummed out that they are withdrawing from the contest this year. However, this might give them a chance to come back with a bang when they do return. I mean, they took three years off and managed to get 4th with Poli. So I am optimistic that they will come back with a bang, and maybe third time might be the charm for Poli if she comes back. :)
My top 5 from Bulgaria 5. 2012 - This is super catchy! 4. 2011 - I love this type of music a lot, so naturally it's in my favourites. 3. 2016 - As with 2012, very catchy song, but even better. 2. 2013 - OMIGOSH I love folk type music!! 1. 2007 - And when you add that Water beat to it... *AH!!!*
2017 & 2018 🧡 But - I‘m in love with „Illusion“ too 😅 It‘s such a good trash, how can you not love it. The background dancers on their stakes are dope! :-)
I have loved all Bulgarian songs since 2008. Yes, that includes Illusion which had the most OTT staging ever in Eurovision. Their 2016, 2017 & 2018 songs were sublime. They are my favourite country in Eurovision so, of course, I am very sad they won’t be at ESC2019.
2005: I think this one is really funny 2006: Meh 2007: A lot of people like this, to me it’s a headache creator. 2008: Not my favorite 2009: Iconic 2010: I love this imo 2011: Alright 2012: Better than Norway 2013: Urgh 2016: Amazing 2017: Amazing 2018: Amazing
That makes 2 of us Matt. Kristian Kostoff didn't connect with me either.. I could appreciate the quality of presentation but the actual song left me cold throughout the whole Eurovision season. Poli the previous year was excellent and Equinox also fantastic Great pity Bulgaria has withdrawn. I hope Symphonix continue with the quality of entries which Bulgaria had benefited from though👍👍
Imo poli should have won but it was a strong year. Equinox just seemed a little too calculated on stage... like only cast for eurovision and not quite organic. Song was good though, same in 2017. Probably the better entry over Portugal which was a typical eurovision Hype story. What i find impressive is how bulgaria managed to do a Lot on stage with little Budget or at least crazy equipment. Thats why i loved 2016 if love was a crime especially. But i guess its the kind of song you listen to for years but dont give the crown to because its not excentric or dramatic enough. Case in poing russia which had great staging but shitty song but won the televote
A great ESC country. Always up there, with songs one remember and have an opinion about. Here’s my opinion: 2005: 5p - a bit blend but still well performed 2006: 7p - nice tune and a good singer 2007: 12p - a personal favourite, love this 2008: 10p - nice, cool wibes 2009: 1p - love how bad this is 2010: 8p - nice 2011: 10p - deserved better 2012: 6p - catchy and funny 2013: 8p - this was great performed, but not as good as 2007 2016: 12p - personal favourite. Love it! 2017: 10p - another great performance, deserved 2nd place at the night 2018: 12p - love the song, especially the wonderful ending.
My top 4:1 Bulgaria 2018,2bulgaria 2016,3bulgaria 2017 and 4 Bulgaria 2009.l love Bulgaria 2018 equinox and bones. In my top of eurovision 2018 is in the 4 placed. 1 Denmark, 2 Italy, 3 Albania and 4 Bulgaria.
2017 is, hands down, my favourite Bulgarian entry. Loved the vocals, the song, the production and the subtle but very effective staging. I’m not mad it didn’t win but I certainly wouldn’t have minded if Eurovision was in Sofia this year. As for least fave, it clearly has to be both entries by Elitsa and Stoyan. I just don’t see or hear the appeal, there’s hardly any melody, staging is random and I find the screeching just awful. It’s beyond me how their first effort ended up in fifth place but hey, that makes Eurovision so exciting and frustrating at the same time! 🙃
This year all the songs so far sound the same to me and most of them are quite boring and tedious. 😐🤔 P.S Great video and I hope Bulgaria comes back in 2020 , they have some really talented singers and musicians from what I've heard. Their music is really good and I hope they win in 2020.😚🇧🇬✌🏻😆
Ok, ESC 2019 isn't good without Bulgaria ! Maybe if Kazakhstan join or UK should send N.Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland i would feel better My opinion about Bulgaria (From Greece) 2005 : Horrible 2006 : Decent 2007 : Amazing 2008 : Good 2009 : Horrible 2010 : Good 2011 : My favourite Bulgarian entry ! 2012 : Amazing 2013 : Amazing, my 2nd favourite entry 2016 : Amazing, my 3rd favourite entry 2017 : Overrated 2018 : Amazing, my 4th favourite entry Please, neighbours don't leave like Turkey, Slovakia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Andorra, Monaco and Luxembourg

Meh, in all honesty Bulgaria simply wasn't worth mentioning as a eurovision nation untill 2016 - i don't like any of their previous songs and i have always thought of "Water" as being EXTREMELY overrated, but then again 2007 was just a disastrous year. And please Matt their 2012 entry was in no way original and got what it deserved :P
Ukraine withdraws 2015, wins 2016
Portugal withdraws 2016, wins 2017
A break can definitely be a good thing though I will miss them this year.
Not to mention Israel was supposed to withdraw :)
Russia withdraws 2017 and then 2018 happened.... 😂😂😂
Turkey withdraws in 2013....
Bosnia and Herzegovina withdrew, returned, withdrew again.
a break was good for Bulgaria. did shit from 2005 - 2013 didnt compete 2014, 2015, 4th 2016, 2nd 2017
Go Bulgaria. Go. Eurovision needs your music and your charm. Three years in a row you donate only masterpieces.
My favourite song was BEAUTIFUL MESS . That song absolutely throws me in another dimension and touches my soul . It's deep
I love it too! ❤
Are you from Bulgaria?

Bulgaria 2017 I didn’t like it😢
I never understood the hype about 2017 and this year they blew their chance. The woman did almost nothing up to the chorus and she clearly could not reach the note that the chorus demanded, thus the chorus her participation looked forced.
@Симона Чернева The back up singer who sang over her was in key, the singer who was supposed to do her own vocals was not. I really liked the song and the style, just I was disappointed when live she could not reach the notes and I could only listen to the back up singer doing her job.
How the hell does one pronounce Kristian as Christian lmaooo
Sofi Marinova's ''Love Unlimited'' was Inna's song rip-off, Tooji was at least a mix of several rip-offs.
The invincible deer compatibly squeak because coach lamentably squeeze amongst a hateful meal. eatable, coordinated september
Meh, in all honesty Bulgaria simply wasn't worth mentioning as a eurovision nation untill 2016 - i don't like any of their previous songs and i have always thought of "Water" as being EXTREMELY overrated, but then again 2007 was just a disastrous year. Elitsa and Stoyan are, in my opinion, not good. Both entry's are noise in my ears. Maybe with a better voice I would have liked them.
I'm Bulgarian and to be honest Water was enough, the second song was an unsuccessful attempt to copy their own success of Water.
