Your videos are so helpful, I'm a merchant marine who's looking to get back in to operating excavators again, thanks so much please keep the videos coming. Floyd
You mention using this system to quote jobs to ensure you quote the proper amount of material. how do you go about doing that? do you shoot the full job with a laser before quoting a job?
+movindirt Thanks for watching! And if you look at the right hand side of the Trimble screen that shows if your machine is level or not. The red line is level the square is the machine. You will notice the square is lower on the right so I compensated for that by tilting the bucket slightly higher on the right
+Dirt Ninja And how do i know this, becouse when i talk about grading levels and slopes with the laser everybody else are looking to the far distant and you can read from their face that they don't have any idea what i'm talking about. :)
Trimble system has way to much delay to grade live. you should show the delay by zeroing on a hard surface. then pulling 10' and watch the system lie to you
After seeing that large rock roll down and into the driveway maybe you should talk about job site safety when on a residential property. The rest of us don't care about your trimble world we live in the real world.
I just can't grasp why you have to respond with such a stupid reply. You could just watch the vid and mumble to yourself, but no, you just have to open your gator and show the world your lack of intelligence. You think that you speak for the masses, by saying "the rest of us" but in reality you are the minority. You are the one that does not seem to live in the real world. The fact that you can't even post your real name shows you are the one hiding in the "safe space". Give it a rest willya, if it was true that the "rest" don't care, then the post would be littered with more drivel like yours, but it seems the "most" are quite entertained by his vids. And far from a snowflake. Gotta love the internet, it brings out the best peeps.
How about that another snowflake! The reason I commented about the rock rolling down the hill into the driveway is you always have to be aware of hazards and dangerous situations. In today's world people are ready to sue at the least little thing. But more important what if a little kid was standing there watching the great big machine and ending up getting hurt. How would you feel then, would that open your eyes to the real world snowflake. My name is Randall Bennett I live in Pickaway County Ohio. Stop by and let's talk about it.

Man, that is SO COOL!
+1hdsquad Yes it is very cool! haha. I love having the system for sure!
Really informative video, Tom!! It bugged me that your tilt bucket was slightly off level tho lol

Do you allow for compaction with your material?
How much is this system ?
Does anyone else at interstate have any idea what you are talking about the trible? :)
+thequattro20v haha no. Im the only one that knows how to use it. Just the way I like it! Its not going to get broken!

I wish the idiots who used to dig/grade for me had this 2O yrs ago. Cost overruns and dirt variances killed us
did you not know how to measure? you don't need that technology to be exact. Transits work great.
@@1018weasel right, but a transit requires another laborer walking around on the ground. Operator can save money on labor by working from the cab.
How much is the trimble system $ ?
Its 10-12k depending on the machine it goes on.
Thank you, is that why you swiched from bobcat to cat?

How much is your system and can it be installed on a 2011 yanmar vio40-5 ?
what do you use instead?
Cool technology and a great tool, but a skidsteer seems 5x - 10x faster. Just sayin.
this shit is like 10 years old in sweden, outdated lul
can do it better by eye -.-
WRM WRM then show us how good you are
Cut to grade, not fill to grade. You will learn...
Don't use trimbul

You would be lost on infrastructure construction ( roadways or freeways)
