No he wasn’t wrong. Robert Garcia chose to go with Joshua Franco fight instead of going with Vergil and look at what happened, Franco left boxing either way. Definitely Robert Garcia made the wrong decision. Not Vergil. Now Vergil is giving Robert Garcia a second chance.
@JesusEldivorciadoPaz why did he make the wrong decision? Vergil had his dad, Hector, and pita in his corner. If Robert didn't go with Joshua no one would have been in Joshua's corner. And mind you Joshua's fight was a title fight.

Did Vergil really miss weight again? Bro they need to get him a nutritionist. That’s why he almost died. He spoke about his weight cutting technique and it’s awful. He just starved and dehydrated himself and worked out hella hard.

Nope , fight was at 156 catchweight. No belt and maybe reassuring Vergil had no issues after past issues. He can now decide if 154 is too hard to make or would he feel better with less weight to cut and go to 160. They're experimenting since they don't have an elite opponent in front of them

Vergil is a promoter's nightmare cancelling fights at the last minute and leaving fans holding worthless tickets. How much $$$ has Golden Boy lost reserving venues and having to refund tickets?? This is literally his last shot to prove he's able to act like a professional and meet obligations.
Vergil Sr just said in this interview that roughly $100k is spent on a training camp on his end (not Golden Boys). When Vergil didn't fight McKinson, yes a refund was an option but Alexis Rocha was moved to the main event spot. There was no venue cancellation, same thing in San Antonio if I remember correctly Floyd Schofield was bumped to main. I understand what you're saying in terms of responsibility but my point is, Team Ortiz might be losing the same if not more than GB. GB as a promoter always has a back up plan. Team Ortiz loses financially, momentum etc. Just my opinion.
@@sonteomedia He's a financial risk to anyone...promoters, trainers, and especially the fans who pay for tickets, and maybe a hotel room, etc. Promoters have to reserve the venue, and sell tix, and insure the event, etc. It's a big financial commitment. I like Vergil and he'd probably be a champion by now. But unfortunately he can't stay healthy and honor his commitments. We'll see tomorrow.
