His concerts are even better! There is something there the camera can not pick up. Seen him twice and will continue to see him any time he is close. He is one that saved country
It’s such a good song and performance! Country music is coming back to its roots and a lot of that pop sound is fading to the background. These newer artists are coming in guns blazing ready to go!
Cody Johnson is always on point & consistent with his performances. I think him & Chris Stapleton are two of the best singers singing live. They always sound like they're singing in the studio. That is very rare if you can do that because most lives are good but they just don't sound like Cody & Chris like effortless & flawless. Amazing reaction!
The story behind his hand tattoos is cool. He had a sleeve for a long time but recently got the hand tattoos because he always assumed he'd have to go and apply for a 9-5 job at some point... only in the last 2 years or so after chasing the dream for the past 10 did he realize he made it and never needed to interview for a job again
One of my favorites! If you wanna hear a vocalist that will knock your socks off I HIGHLY recommend Tyler Childers he's from my neck of the woods and has a very unique voice and is able to hit notes that I don't think anyone can replicate! I want to see what you say about him.
Saw him live last year when he did a free concert for active military/families at Fort Campbell... Seeing him live oohhh my. He has so much energy with every song. Gives it 110% and such a cool down to earth dude.
Cody one if the best. When he was just starting touring the small bars in Texas I used to open acoustically for him. This was like 12 years ago lol. So happy for his success. Earned it the hard way and was grinding
Yes sir!! He’s the best, those stickers are his logo, Cojonation!! He used to ride bulls and he wrote the song dear rodeo about what he would say to it if it was a girl!! Check it out it’s my favorite song!!
The top sticker is his logo. It’s a c and j together in the shape of a bull head. And he has a half sleeve that starts on his hand and comes up his arm. Pretty badass. I’m not sure what that bottom sticker is
I love this song so much. And I am so glad to say that I am so proud of Cody…he grew up in my hometown back in Texas and he’s truly a small town cowboy
This whole song is absolutely amazing! But the part that always gets me is "Take that phone call from your mama and just talk away, cause youll never know how bad you wanna, till you can't come day" ALWAYS gets me, every time.
You should listen to “dear rodeo” by Cody. It talks about when he used to be a professional bull rider and basically his “break up” with it to come to country music.
Me an couple of buddy's was talking about him about 2 years ago we agreed that his he could be at the legendary status as George strait he is just so damn good
Ive seen CoJo three times over the past six years: back before Dear Rodeo was released, 2022 Rodeo Houston and last night. Every single time, he’s been even better live than he is on recordings. He’s touring with Randall King right now, who is as equally awesome live, if you’re looking for someone in the same style to check out. “Around Forever” is a great tune with a similar message as “Til You Can’t”, as well as a very moving, very personal music video. HIGHLY recommend Randall King.
Cody just writes and sings what he believes in. He can rub some people the wrong way with his views on things, but I don't think you should ever fault someone for what they think. You don't need to agree, but you don't need to fault them either. He is actually a retired rodeo man. If you want to hear another song of his that shows where he comes from, "Dear Rodeo" with the legend Reba is awesome. You really need to react to it. I think its up your ally.
Yo 🐠 Man So, the backstory that I heard on this tune It's not about if those folks will be there for you It's about whether you will be there for them Apparently, Cody was on a plane flight that went wonky As he told it, Cody was worried that he would not be there for his loved ones "Til you Can't"
Cody Johnson is so good. He’s bringing back the best parts of country music back to the mainstream. His voice gives me goosebumps
I was shocked at how much his voice sounds just like the recording. Crazy good
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, his voice is a throwback. This song is so good.
His concerts are even better! There is something there the camera can not pick up. Seen him twice and will continue to see him any time he is close. He is one that saved country
I've seen Cody Johnson twice in concert and my god if it isn't the best concert you can go to. He's amazing and has so much energy in his shows
SAME!!! You can’t convince me that even a Garth brooks concert would be better at this point!!
That energy in a country concert like CoJo and Garth, all came from Chris LeDoux
I am so proud of him for. Saying what he means and he's mine forever
Cody Johnson has been so underrated for so many years. So glad he's finally getting the recognition he so deserves!!! Love me some Cody!! #CoJoNation
It’s such a good song and performance! Country music is coming back to its roots and a lot of that pop sound is fading to the background. These newer artists are coming in guns blazing ready to go!
When he’s belting the final Yeaaah! At the end he’s soaking in the moment...
A well deserved one. He does such an amazing job.
This is the type of country music I grew up on as a kid; my faith in country music is getting restored. Thank you Cody!
Cody Johnson is sooo good live. I would see him again 100%.
He is AMAZING!!! He is a breath of fresh air for Country Music.... He is the real deal!!! Perfect of a performance as you gonna get live!!
In 2017, I saw him at a BBQ Joint in Belton, TX. Now he's playing at the CMAs. Good for you, Cody. You're the best.
God bless Country Music.
My late son introduced me to Cody My chance is gone but I still love the song
One of my favorites! If you wanna hear a vocalist that will knock your socks off I HIGHLY recommend Tyler Childers he's from my neck of the woods and has a very unique voice and is able to hit notes that I don't think anyone can replicate! I want to see what you say about him.
He’s got a whole sleeve!!! Took his tattoo artist on tour with him to do it!!
He won a Grammy for that song
Every song of his is just simple amazing!
Gave me chills
Saw him live last year when he did a free concert for active military/families at Fort Campbell... Seeing him live oohhh my. He has so much energy with every song. Gives it 110% and such a cool down to earth dude.
Cody one if the best. When he was just starting touring the small bars in Texas I used to open acoustically for him. This was like 12 years ago lol. So happy for his success. Earned it the hard way and was grinding

This whole song is absolutely amazing! But the part that always gets me is "Take that phone call from your mama and just talk away, cause youll never know how bad you wanna, till you can't come day" ALWAYS gets me, every time.

An Artist won’t make it Country music if they can’t “sing”…Facts.
Country remains: Real vocalist, real Musicianship.

You should listen to “dear rodeo” by Cody.
It talks about when he used to be a professional bull rider and basically his “break up” with it to come to country music.
The stickers on his guitar are a “C” and “J” combined into that symbol, his brand for Cody Johnson.

Ive seen CoJo three times over the past six years: back before Dear Rodeo was released, 2022 Rodeo Houston and last night. Every single time, he’s been even better live than he is on recordings.
