I don't use to answer to ignorant people, but ... I'm in the mood today:
"Favorite and favourite are both correct spellings, depending on whether you use American or British spelling standards. Favorite is preferred in American English, while favourite is preferred in British English."
@@alemar5810i don’t usually* if you say ‘use’ that means you NEVER do respond🥰
Queen Elizabeth 11 treated her cousins so wonderful. She provided them financially and make them working royals.
Only because her grandfather made sure of it!
Tell Prince William of Gloucester that. Oh yeah. You can't.
You don’t know that
@@Nina-xo555 duke of Kent, duke of Gloucester and princess Alexandra all get allowances from the civil list and out of grace residences at Kensington palace.

I remember watching this wedding on TV. It was my second royal wedding. I am the same age as Princess Anne and followed her life. I loved that she was a bridesmaid. I felt that Princess Alexandra looked glorious
O
Do you watch videos of Jim Nduruchi
Yes. That gown is gorgeous. I love princess Anne as well. She is so devoted to her duties but so kind to people.
@@irenedavo3768 not important
The sixties were such a good era for fashion. Everyone looked spectacular here.
Now here she is, widowed, but still doing her duty. A very great lady.
And still beautiful.
@@sazzieb1 Absolutely.
Yes, lovely.
I love wedding because the Holy GOD made it the first wedding was adam and eve 😍

Princess Alexandra is a hard-working, globe-trotting princess, going to functions, lavish or insignificant. MBEs or poor villagers, she greets every one of them with respect. Hong Kong newspaper wrote, "Princess has left the pier, but her smile lingers." "Prettiest woman in England." Everywhere she went, people were awestruck by her beauty, her class, her presence, and her kindness. 💕
I was 6 years old when I watched this wedding on tv and I’ve never forgotten it, so it clearly impressed me.
Princess Alexandra is surely the most beautiful member of the Royal family. She has maintained her good looks into her eighties.
I love these old times. Before I was born. The ladies were so elegant. Certainly more elegant dress than we see today.
She's one of best member of The Royal Family.
I just wish she would get more of the tecognition that we know she deserves
Absolutely! The complete embodiment of grace, class, beauty, and devotion to duty.
I remember watching this live, as I’ve tried to do with all royal weddings, she is so elegant, and aren’t most of the guests beautifully dressed also. Love the hats!
Especially their hats
I especially liked Princess Margaret's unusual updo!

Fascinating history, and lovely to see HM The Queen Mother (feathers and sparkle, as usual), Princess Margaret, Princess Marina, Princess Anne (always very organised), young Prince Charles, and the Queen and Prince Phillip in their prime. Great post. Angus Ogilvy was a fine-looking man.
You should see their children, so good looking like the parents.
@@thezmanchar their grandchildren are really good looking too
I like Princess Alexandra too. Never showry or look at me Princess. 👍🏽British Pathe' Thank you xo
Some of the hats were amazing. Wish the cameras lingered a bit longer to get good view of outfits and hats.
I always remember her wedding dress being made from Lancashire Cotton. The best cotton in the World.
She was loyal to her Country.
I'm 2 years younger than Princess Alexander and so watched her wedding with great interest... she was such a lovely quietly beautiful and sincere lady.. in this clip it was lovely to see the young king Charles with his grandmother and his sister Anne as bridesmaid... a lovely trip down memory lane!

Angus Ogilvy was spectacularly good-looking.
he looks handsome
That voice as well
LOL I've always thought he was a quite unattractive looking person. And he didn't get better with age. I never could see why on earth she married him.
@@SR-iy4gg I never thought he was physically attractive either. However, I assumed that he must have had other traits to which Alexandra was attracted. Perhaps he was kind, intelligent, attentive, etc. I am so glad that they are said to have had a happy union.
@@SR-iy4gg moi aussi lol
Elegant and classy and no bare flesh . Beautiful.
And without pseudo-celebrities of music, TV and football...

Gone are the days of class and elegance. As a kid of the commonwealth I still today shine elegantly and classy for church and every special event.I smile sometimes when I look at these old videos and wonder if these people copy my hats and dresses😂😂😂😂😂
Very true. I wish I could afford these sorts of clothes.

How beautiful. I was a 7 yr old American across the pond & didn't get to see this but very much enjoying it now. I did rise at 4AM, though, to watch Princess Annes' & every royal wedding thereafter.🤍⚘️👑
A world of beautiful people ; those were the days.
Beautiful wedding dress!
These were real fairytales❤ such royal styles and titles ❤
the duke of kent looks so much like his father
I remember watching the BBC broadcast of the wedding, with Richard Dimbleby commentating. I loved the piping by two pipers from Angus Ogilvy's regiment, the Scots Guards - they were Pipe Major John Roe, and, I believe, Pipe Sergeant Robert Kilgour (see 8:35 onwards).
I remember watching it too. Was it princess Alexandra who chose a trouser suit for her going away outfit? My mum sent me round to our neighbour to tell her the 'scandelous'news!
Isn't Robert Dimbleby the father of Jonathan Dimbleby, the Prince of Wales" biographer?

I was there
My girlfriend and I on our big overseas venture.
Sleeping on the pavement overnight was no hardship.
Princess Margaret in yellow took my breath away her skin was that of a china doll.
Royal households I shall never forget along with such a beautiful bride.
Leave it to the British to be so elegant as always.
What a scream, Ann instructing the couple to proceed! 13 and in charge!
Yes, I saw that too ! The bossy one !
I only just noticed that the last sentence, where the speaker quotes Winston Churchill (without naming him) with the words "we got married and lived happily ever after", is almost certainly an allusion to the fact that the groom's father, Lord Airlie, was actually a first cousin of Churchill's wife (Clementine Churchill, née Hozier, daughter of Lady Blanche Ogilvy). Given that both Churchill and his wife were still alive at the time of this wedding it seems almost certain that the papers would have mentioned this relatively close relationship, and that therefore the speaker would in all likelihood have known about it too.
Interesting insight, thank you for sharing.
I loved Princess Margaret's hat!
Best wedding gown 👍
I had the privilege of spending four days with the princess she was great !

I didnt see the Glouscesters.
I just wonder why princess Alexandra and were not given away by their uncle?
what uncle
@@hannahhaines2351 I think she means Henry, Duke of Gloucester. Maybe he was suffering from an undisclosed illness, or the bride just didn't want to; or her mother may not have wanted him to walk her down the aisle. Who knows? A lot of possibilities.
@@patricianunez5423 ye maybe. I always thought she was given away by him because her father had died and brothers are next to walk you but i dont know
@@hannahhaines2351 I'm not sure what the protocol is either. Never gave it much thought. Princes Margaret had Prince Phillip walk her down the aisle rather than her uncle. Maybe it has more to do with preference tga than protocol
