Its so sad to see a whole bunch of people on here who want to bash a school...If you don't like the school or people making videos about the school don't watch the videos. Do you realize that by talking crap about a school your ultimately crushing someone else's dreams. Trolls have nothing better to do than try to put something or someone down. By the way I love the video, it was very entertaining to watch, I just started on July 30th for Creative Writing, and I'm loving it so far. :)
I whole heartily disagree. People need to be weary of any institution asking that large of a sum of money from you. Yes, this applies to ALL schools. But I do have experience here as I went to fullsail. In all honesty it is a huge waste of money as you can get every single thing they teach you from Lynda, youtube and skillshare. If you also google some of their test, they are taken from other online schools. Same answer and everything. This does not even detail alllll the nonsense you go through after you're done there, the lack of help and support. But it's not crushing someones dream, it's warning them and helping them to steer their dream in a better direction.
Personally I don’t bash it, but I don’t disagree with the people who do, I would love to be able to go, no matter how much work is involved, but sadly I don’t have the money for it, so when people spend that kind of money they should know the criticism of it before they spend their money
That excites me to hear!! I do have a question however. Do they prepare you for the future simply be teaching or are there any networking opportunities?
Cool, thanks for showing this, I still have about 1 month before I get my Launch Box. Totally relieved that it is a recent model MacBook and not a bulk discount older model. I'm also in Computer Animation.
You’re gonna love the modeling aspect of this program. If you’d like to see what you can expect in the program, I do a video every month talking about the class I just took. So far I’ve done a video for 3D Foundations, Fundamentals of Art 1, MCR, and next week sometime I’ll get one out about Project and Portfolio 1.
That’s fantastic. You’ll have so much fun. I started a series in which I give my experience every month over the class I just took. I give the details, what to expect, and some ideas of what homework you’ll be doing. Another one will hopefully be uploaded either today or tomorrow. I hope you can find them useful
Hey Dumbass, it IS accredited. LEARN before you speak. (but yes, it is overpriced) Full Sail University is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. HOWEVER since it is not regionally accredited most if not all credits will not transfer to other colleges BUT that is up to the schools to decide, not some legal issue.
I signed up for Full Sail last week, I'm on track with turning in what's due, but I'm still wary of if it'll be a good fit for me to be honest. I have however talked 5 times with someone from the admissions office, each time ended being more than an hour long, they were understanding and very kind! I do kind of find it a bit hard to swallow that 2D animation isn't a focus at the school however, but watching this as I research some more does push me in a direction where i think full sail might be a great fit for me
Drawing on a non-screen tablet may stink at first, but once you build the hand-eye coordination required to use it without a hitch, you won't even need the screen to be on your tablet.
My niece foolishly went to Fullsail. Got a $35,000 AA degree. She later tried to apply the credits towards getting a BA at a FL state school. Most credits did not apply.
I’m starting in January of next year for the online degree. I’m pretty good at drawing when I’m using references but if it comes down to creating something pretty much straight from my head it’s OVER for me and it’s honestly so frustrating. I was wondering how I would do and if this would negatively affect me in the course.
Very rarely In the classes do you work without reference so that’s not gonna be much of a problem. There are some cases where you do have to be creative and push yourself but you are given the tools to do it. Like you I work much better with reference and I’m doing just fine.
I am so excited I start on May 28th i just wanted to know when you got the all of your stuff of the launch box including the iPad just so I can expect it
I got the iPad in my second month of classes. If you don’t have any prerequisites done, you’ll probably get the iPad in the first or second week of your fourth class. That’s my best guess. The rest of the Launch Box came about ten days before my third class. So if you don’t have any prerequisites done, you’ll likely get it about 10 days before your fifth class You’re going to have such a great time in this program
Enjoyed the video! I subbed! Can you make a video of your experience so far in the Computer Animation program? I'm starting April 30th and I'm super excited! Thanks 😄
Before I went to Full Sail, I too looked at so many reviews and experiences and found a mixed bag of information. Some loved it and most hated it. I can tell you from personal experience that this is a wonderful school, a great program, and the teachers here are so nice and truly care not only about your education but want to make sure you understand things clearly. I’ve been here for going on 15 months and have not had a mean teacher. In terms of the bad reviews online. You have to realize that more times that not, people will be more motivated to make a negative review bashing something rather than a review praising something. Also, negativity gets more traction in terms of attention in RUclipss algorithm and any news sites. I’ve also found that most people complaining about the school don’t like the workload and or don’t like hardly having free time. But that’s the foundation of this program. It’s a 4 year degree in 29 months. Of course you’re going to get a lot of information thrown at you. You just have to be willing to grab it and run. That motivation to preserve is something a lot of the negative reviewers don’t have. People also bash the school on the price which can be as high as around 60k. Yeah, that price scared me at first too. I then realized by attending Full Sail I was making an investment in myself. Once I get a job in an animation field, I know I’ll easily be able to pay off the investment in myself, plus some. Overall, if you’d like an in-depth review of not only the program but the individual classes as well, I upload an experience video for each class every month. I talk about the workload, the projects, the teacher, the hours put in, and any tips I can think of to help you run where I may have slipped. I have months 1-14 in a playlist, month 15 should be up after next week, and I’ll keep going until I’ve graduated. Hopefully this helped and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I may not always have an answer but I can try my best
You’re going to love it so much! 3D Foundations was a blast and within the next few days, I’m going to upload a video on my experience with Foundations of Art 1
Did you have any prerequisites? Just trying to make sure I will be around when the box comes just because I’m in a apartment building and people like to steal stuff even Christmas card money smh..
Question, I start May 3rd, but in Orientation and they gave me links to the software they needed me to download i.e., Photoshop etc., but an error comes up every time I go to open it, and it's opened. Do I have to wait for the Launchbox? And if I do how long do I have to wait for it?
I’m thinking of signing up for the graphic design program so I’m excited about the launch box lol it always helps to get some gifts along the way... and off topic you are super cute! Haha 😅☺️
Nice experience videos but I was wandering on how you got the software that comes with the launch box or does the school provide the software or do you have to but it yourself?
It doesn’t come preloaded to the computer as I thought it did when I got the launch box. The money you’re paying for the launch box covers the expenses of your software. You get the software when you need it. In your student email, you’ll be sent links to download the programs your need for the class your going in
I'm an artist. But I've only been drawing for about 2 years. Art is my passion, I sit at my desk and draw for about 4 hours teaching myself new skills. I want to go to full sail and do computer animation. My question is do you think I need to be a super amazing artist (drawings so good it looks like a picture) because if that's the case then I'll take art classes before I enroll. Or do you think with the basic skills I have I will be ok?
You absolutely do not have to be a good drawer to do well here at full sail. They teach you everything. My art is no where near that of realistic quality and I’m doing just fine. I am still early on in the program, but they teach you everything. Right now, I’m doing homework for a class called Foundations of Art 1. The assignments this week are helping us understand line and shape. Very basic elements of art. Now later on in the program I’m expecting them to except my art to be a ton better than now but I don’t ever believe they will except realism from anyone. To answer your question, if you are just starting with a basic skill set, they will help you get to whatever level of drawing you want to be at, whether it is realism, cartoonish, etc. You’ll be more than ok. If you work hard, you’ll excel.
Start doing your homework. Non accredited overpriced school. Much better options starting with State Colleges. My niece went to FS and regrets it. Her credits did not transfer to UCF.
@@robertstv8045 maybe if she did her research she would have known that. No degree is worth it. whats worth it, is the networking. On a previous comment you mentioned the industry doesn't like FS grads. lol. OK
@@VektorHaus My niece is doing well. She simply was disappointed the FL State schools accepted few of FS credit hrs. Fact is FS credit hrs not as valued as hrs from other schools.
I love this video! I really want to go to full sail for animation. That has been my life long dream! But I'm trying to decrease my tuition. Do you think that I can transfer an associates degree of the same program from my community college to full sail??
It’s a great school and I know you’d love it! Potentially, but I’d check with full sail themselves first. When I transferred from my local college, only 2 credits out of 15 classes transferred, and those were prerequisites for English and math, but it did lower tuition by a thousand or two
Anyone know if this would be the School for someone who works 12 hour shifts? I am thinking about taking online classes in the Graphic Design. I haven’t done school in 11 years. I have 3 days off one week and 2 days off another week. It rotates.
This video was too funny, but informative so thank you! I hope school is going well for you (or if your done... woo🎉) You remind me of Dacre Montgomery lol
Love this university. My son is interested to study game design at this uni. But I am not sure if I can afford to pay the tution fee and living expense over there. Anyone can help?
Wilson Syahrazad idk if you still need help but I’m doing primarily online and it was sooo much cheaper, they also help with loans and scholarships. The loans don’t need to be paid off until 6 months after your last day attending full sail. Financial aid also helps! I currently only owe 3K in loans? That I pay off after I finish school and after 6 months! It’s really great and worth the cost.
To anyone that cares to respond, I too want to go to full sail for animation but I'm wondering how others got over the expensive hump. Tuition is a killer. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Being good at art will be a very big benefit to being able to make it through this program. I am only in my second animation class right now and it is just like playing with computer action figures. So you’ll need art to do everything outside of animation, but (as it seems right now) not animation itself
This was super useful, I' looking into getting the same degree and Full Sail is one of my top options. a few questions: how uch did you end up paying tuition and extra costs. also, did you have to pay extra for the LaunchBox?
I really don’t know what the total tuition is but I feel like for all 29 months it’s around 40k to 50k. That is just a rough estimate. The Launch Box did cost extra, but for the price of everything you get from it, it’s well worth it
I absolutely do recommend it. Full sail is amazing. I’m only in my 7th class out of the program and I have learned so much more than I was at my past school. It is pricey but you definitely get what you pay. I love full sail.
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel this is really a great help! I’d love to hear more later on to see how your studies go! Definitely subscribed because you are also just a pretty cool person. Good luck with your future endeavors. Until the next question ✌🏻
hey, I am hoping you are still responding because I have some questions. I talked to a rep and they were so nice, we ended up talking over 2 hours and thought I would be a great fit, it made me feel better, I wanted to be in coding and making games but they told me how much math I would have to do and I hate math. So they told I could do computer animation, my other interest, they told me all about it and I am interested. I have been drawing for many years now but haven't drawn as much since because I was getting into other stuff, so if I am going into computer animation and I'm not the best at creating characters or drawing, im still creative and I am capable of drawing certain things, but I am not like those crazy pros, do you think I will be able to adapt and survive?
Simply stated, you will get out of full Sail what you put in. The program requires some drawing from time to time, and yeah, some have to be precise and technical but lots are creative and fun. I was not super great at coming up with character drawings before. I’m still not fantastic but I feel I’ve improved greatly due to classes focusing on fundamentals of art as well as anatomy. If you put time into your assignments, you will go far beyond what you believe yourself to be capable of
Im thinking of applying here! What is the admission process like? Is it difficult to get in? I'm nervous to talk to an advisor I've never really done that before and I know I'm gonna have to talk to someone. I also have no experience with animation nor the programs.Do they expect me to know the basics at the start?
Getting in was super easy. There are a lot of things to fill out but that’s just how colleges are. The advisors are super nice and I was on the phone for at least two hours just because the advisor I was speaking with was willing to answer all of my questions. I too had no idea what programs to use. I had never even heard of Maya or anything else I’ve been using. They do not expect you to know anything at the beginning. They teach you everything from basics to advanced. They teach you at such a great pace so it’s enough time to process what you’ve learned while also gaining new knowledge. I will always recommend this school
@@TetradArt Thank you so much!! I was beginning to get discouraged by reviews but a pattern I noticed was that many complained about the amount of work or acted suprised by the tuition cost.I feel its pretty fair with what they are going to teach me from scratch and the cost of the supplies in the launch box + other services. In terms of the workload, I think thats to be expected with an arts school right? Full Sail seems to be VERY specific as well. Many people wanted to transfer to other schools but found that their credits were worth "nothing" but because I feel its such a specialized school thats why other schools don't offer the same.At least thats my two cents.Thank you for the advice! I'm hoping to apply soon!
The majority of negative reviews are from people who don’t see the value in going here. They think it’ll be an easy ride and don’t take it seriously. It’s not easy but by golly it’s so worth the work. Don’t get discouraged. It’s an investment in yourself so take it seriously and fun. You’ll get out of full sail what you put in. I hope you do go here and if you have any other questions I can do my best to help
Do you think it will be possible to do the Computer Animations degree online while also balancing a full or part-time job? I may not be able to do a campus course because of housing issues, but could I still be successful by studying online from another state?
You absolutely could. I am an out of state online student working a part time job totaling about 35 hours a week. You won’t have much free time, but you can be very successful. You just have to manage time well.
Is it the same for the online comp animation degree, do you know? I want to do FSUs online bachelors program while still living in California so I'm considering the online program.
I’m doing the online computer animation program and it is awesome. I would highly recommend it. If you’d like to see what the online classes are like, every month I make a video talking about my experience in the class I just took. I talk about the homework, some class details, and anything else that is beneficial to know going into the month. I hope you get to go to Full Sail. I’m only in the sixth month, and despite the massive workload, I’ve really enjoyed it a lot
Thank you so much for the insight this really sheds some light on my decision for college. I've been caught between the pros and cons of Full Sail but have never heard any useful reviews on the online programs especially the art division. I visited full sail last spring and it's my absolute dream school so I'm so excited that the program I'm interested in is fun and amazing! Thank you again haha I'll for sure check out your progress videos on the online classes
The student licenses are part of the launch box but nothing will be downloaded on the computer. The links to download the programs will be sent to your student email
How long did it take to receive your launch box for your degree? An admissions lady told me around month 5, is that true? I start in may! I’m super excited.
Sarah Kinney Once you get through the 4 prerequisite months, that’s when they send the launch box. It should come in the last week of month 4. For me, I had credits for 2 or the 4 prerequisite classes so my box came in the last week of month 2. You’ll have a ton of fun at Full Sail. It’s hard work but the results have always been worth it in my experience. Best of luck!
Whatever way you get through the four prerequisites months (classes), whether that is through already obtained credits or by going through Full Sails program, you will get you Launch Box once the people at Full Sail University can check all four classes off your to do list
I wanna major in computer animation but I’m not that good at drawing I’ve can’t draw people’s bodies do you have to know how to draw real life objects? I can only draw things like goku, Mickey, some car from looney toons etc
Being good at drawing is a skill that is recommended but is not necessary to start. You’ll get better as you go through classes that focus on drawing such as Art 1 & 2. You will have to draw human like proportions in Art 2, however, it’s not as bad as it sounds. The professor tells you the correct proportions everything should be and as long as you take time to plan out your drawing (in terms of spacing things to correct headcount and width) you’ll succeed
I was terrified starting, but as I figured out the rhythm of Full Sail, it got so easy. Not to say these classes are the easiest thing in the world, but it certainly got much less scary going from month to month
@@TetradArt first off, happy for you. Secondly, is it the type of loans where you'll start to pay it back after you land a job in that field of study? They're saying my tuition is 60k... does that sound about right? Also, how's the program treating you. I'm interested, that's why I ask all these questions. Thank you
My parents helped me get my loans, and they are the kind we’re I start paying on them 6 months after I graduate. $60k does sound correct. My total I believe is $58k but I didn’t have to take 2 of the prerequisites. The program is amazing! I am loving every minute, even the (to me) boring classes like Art History are still pretty entertaining. I’m in the final week of Project and Portfolio 3 now and next week get to jump into character modeling! So I’m super pumped for that and keep an eye out for another experience video coming out next week. Overall, this program will teach you so much! There are classes where you’ll be doing homework every free second you have like in Shading and Lighting, but it’s all worth it in the end when you see what you made. I hope this helped and if you have any more questions I will gladly try to help
So. I'm guessing the price for all the components in this program box are probably added to the cost of your tuition. And I feel like I could possibly keep 3 entire weeks of my entire paycheck from work if they didn't buy all those Apple products. As well as about a hundred hours of trying trying to learn a whole different operating system. Like, they couldn't've just got a $100 cheap ass laptop with Windows, and the, like, $2 adapter cables, instead of Apple's probably $1k laptop with a notoriously user unfriendly OS, and their $20 adapter cables? And I'm pretty sure the $100 laptop would probably be more durable, hardware and software wise, than anything Apple that pays their sweatshops in rice grains with makes.

I’m thinking of signing up for the graphic design program so I’m excited about the launch box lol it always helps to get some gifts along the way... and off topic you are super cute! Haha 😅☺️
I'm also thinking of going there for BS Graphic design degree, I already have my AAS in it but I am still on the fence since I'm old lol.
@@hiltsyartnstuff1142 do it!
@@Jadedgems - I did 😉 about half way through now.
In your student email, you’ll be sent links to download the programs your need for the class your going in
@@TetradArt O ok cool. Thanks a lot
Have you submitted your Creative Minds scholarship essay? They gave me $10k just for talking about all my experience.
Great video. Do you know what's in the launch box for Game Design students? I start in Sept, just curious to know.
I don’t know the exact contents but imagine that it is not too different from computer animation
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel Okay, thanks!
Got accepted into Full Sail for the Computer Animations class. Today was my first day for the online classes!
I am also new, I just don't know when all of that stuff will can in.
Really thinking about going to full sail for animation but I'm not really good at art... So I really need to be good at art to go for animation?
The Launch Box did cost extra, but for the price of everything you get from it, it’s well worth it
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel thank you so much! I’m looking at attending in 2020, do you recommend it?
I absolutely do recommend it. Full sail is amazing. I’m only in my 7th class out of the program and I have learned so much more than I was at my past school. It is pricey but you definitely get what you pay. I love full sail.
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel this is really a great help! I’d love to hear more later on to see how your studies go! Definitely subscribed because you are also just a pretty cool person. Good luck with your future endeavors. Until the next question ✌🏻
Thank you so much! I wish you the best too and hope you get to attend a Full Sail
How long did you have to wait for your launch box after you started classes? I just started like about almost a month ago
I got accepted for media communications bachelors online if everything goes well for the first semester I might switch to on campus
So my first class is Psychology of play, when should I be getting my Ipad?
I got mine during my 2nd month so maybe somewhere around there
I plan on starting next month. I am also doing computer animations program!
Wish me luck!
Best of luck! You’re gonna love this program! You get out of it what you put in! Give it your best and you’ll get the best!
Are you doing job after degree?Actually i have interest on computer animation
Applying for this program, I hope I can get in
I’m starting Full Sail on June 3rd
I have a stupid question; do we get to keep the launch box supplies?
There are no stupid questions, but yes, you do get to keep everything
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel ❤️ thank you
just got accepted this is my dream school :’)
Congratulations! You’ll love it!
I just got accepted too and I start May 03rd! :')
hey, I am hoping you are still responding because I have some questions.
If you put time into your assignments, you will go far beyond what you believe yourself to be capable of
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel thank you so much for responding and the info!!
@@TetradArt Thank you so much! I feel like if I try my best I can succeed here! I'll let you know if I have any questions!
Did the launch box come with any software? I started classes back in June for computer animation, and I'm wondering what to expect for the programs.
The student licenses are part of the launch box but nothing will be downloaded on the computer. The links to download the programs will be sent to your student email
@@TetradArt ok cool, Thank you! is it just Maya and Zbrush that they give you a license for?
You get a student license for both plus a lot more
does the university have international students? Considering that I'm from India am I eligible to join?
Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea
Also thank you, I've watched all your full sail videos and some of the others and it's helping me build more courage to reach my goals!!
Congratulations on being accepted! You’ll have tons of fun!
I’m glad to hear! Always strive for your goals! Don’t settle
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel I heard it's on the 4th month I have pre requisite classes
Bro how do you like full sail? I went to the Los Angeles film school and hated the way they teach stuff
It’s fantastic and aside from the compositing aspects of the course, every class has been such a great learning experience
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel Oh OK how’s the class like is it live class or just a lecture over a video
Most classes have a live lecture option but there is always a recorded video for those who can’t make it to the live video
I’m actually starting computer animation on August 5 I’m kinda scared
I was terrified starting, but as I figured out the rhythm of Full Sail, it got so easy. Not to say these classes are the easiest thing in the world, but it certainly got much less scary going from month to month
I draw manga and I have my own style but I would like to expand my horizons so I wanna learn animation
I recommend Full Sail for anyone who is dedicated to learning. It’s an intense program but very worth it
@@TetradArt I agree I'm willing to learn it I've heard animation is competitive but I'm going to give it a shot
Hey I was wondering if you were doing online or they just give those stuff to online or campus students only?
I did online. Everyone should get everything because it’s not given to the student, it’s part of the tuition you pay
@@TetradArt Dang you reply fast, but thank you so much
You just caught me at a good time lol. Anytime👍🏻
What are the specs of the MacBook ?
It’s a 15in MacBook Pro
Has 500 gigabytes of storage
No programs are preloaded
Has great battery
It only has ports for Apple adapters
Model A1707
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel do we get to choose which colors we get for the macbook?
No, just the silver
does everyone get a launch box??
Yes
Do you have to pay extra for this lunchbox
Yes, I believe it’s a total of 5K. But that includes all of your technology and every program you’ll use while in school
is it the same for online?
I am an online student so everything you see here you would get too
thank you so much! doing online classes currently in digital arts & design but animation was what I was looking to do regardless so I'll switch soon.
You only get the scanner and Ipad if you are doing it online ^^.
did you graduate?
Not yet. My last class is March of next year so I should graduate early April of 2020
I got a long way to go not till 21 for me...ugh
So is this stuff yours or do u return it when you’re done
This stuff is mine to keep

Who paid for u to go to full sail university
I had to take out student loans
I just got accepted yesterday
That’s great! Congratulations!
@@TetradArt thank you
New computer need snoff of confirmation
I start September 2nd😬
That’s awesome! You’re gonna love it
Wait a minute. I am in computer animation and never received an ipad.
jibaron22 i think it’s online only
All I got was a ipad
Do you have to be good at drawing to do the animation program? Lol
It’s not absolutely necessary, though having a good foundation of drawing is definitely a plus
Your lack of knowledge about technology is disturbing to me
I was expecting a r/wooosh but know I'm disappointed
The industry does not like FS grads with tons of debt and an unwillingness to take entry level jobs that they see as beneath them.
