One small tweak: not all Patek models are rated at 30m water resistance. A few are labeled as not water resistant at all. But yes, all water resistant Patek models are now rated at 30m. And the most important point is that Patek is now saying that 30m truly means 30m, not just splash-proof. They specify that you can shower, swim, and dive to a depth of 30m with all their water resistant watches. Also, they narrowed their Patek Seal timing tolerances to -1/+2 spd. And finally, the warranty for new watches is now 5 years (instead of the prior 2 years).
@@miguelvictoria-boca573 Exactly. Just like Omega. And shame to all those manufacturers who still label splash-proof watches as 30m water resistant (I’m looking at you, Lange).
@@remus2001 - so, being a Patek owner is no excuse whatsoever to avoid doing the washing up.- I bet there are owners of lesser watches who can only dream of running for a bus in the rain. I had a YMII homage years ago, can't remember the brand but it was a US company. Solid and well made, the actual function it did have was the big centre hand could be used as a 1 minute chronograph.
I personally hope Rolex comes back in a few years with a redesigned YM II and call it the "Pizza Master". That regatta timer is perfect for reminding you when to rotate your DiGiorno in the oven. Imagine it: yellow dial with red accents framed by a golden brown matte ceramic dial. YUM!
Yachty 2 isn't missed by anyone, I think. I was going to change my DJ41 dial to a fluted and buy a palm dial DJ36 for my wife, but I guess I saved some money.😅
For me, Tudor seems unable to come up with sth original. Yet as long as they follow what Rolex does, ppl will still love them. NEPOTISM at its subtlest form. P.s love ur vids Britt. Keep em up !
You know, I have a really soft spot for Tudor! But I'd love to see something truly original from them again sometime soon - like the North Flag! But thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoy my weird little channel!
Tudor not being able to separate it's identity from Rolex isn't all bad. Sometimes people don't want an in your face flashy watch like rolex, but they like the look of it, just more toned down, that's when tudor comes in. In a lot of cases, I prefer tudor more than Rolex. Rolex imo, looks worse in person and tudor looks better in person.
The discontinued glamour double date, was unique, and a beast. 100m water resistance, sapphire crystal, certified in-house movement, open display case-back (one of the only tudors who have that), small seconds and one of the best double-date complications on the market. With multiple sizes and colors, as well as being a beautiful watch in formal and informal situations. It's the 1926 on steroids.
I just HOPE that they don't discontinue the holy😇😇 ROLEX OP CELEBRATION DIAL cause that watch is my DREAM!😅 Sad to hear about these too...thanks for the info WATCH GRINGA! appreciate it.
The white gold Daytona was beautiful. I’ve asked an AD about the changes to get one and he literally said “praying to god might net you a better chance”.
Such perfect timing as I literally sit down and enjoy my cup of coffee. Thank you Britt! Happy that the BLRO wasn’t discontinued as I might try for that this year after I get an OP36
Gah IT IS TRICKY! It's hard to compare such different functions and complications... But if I had to say which is "MORE" complicated - I'd still say the annual calendar = the higher complication tho! But, as established in this video... I am usually wrong. ;)
Also, while the YM2 complication is quite (for lack of a better word) complicated, it feels somewhat useless. Whereas anyone can make use of an annual calendar. I do enjoy how the bezel on both watches manipulates the complication of both watches. Super cool function and I wish other watch brands did this. Especially on the Skydweller. Such a simple way to show the month on a watch.
Are you able to get your hands on on the new Tudor BB 41 in jubilee bracelet? Or if you’ve already seen that in person, what’s your take vs the 58,54, against this new one. Thanks.
So almost certainly someone took their Aquanaut skin diving and drowned it, sued Patek for not holding up and now Patek has changed the pressure rating. Probably nothing about its construction is any different, just the rating.
The lost of 5164 A is the baddest thing happened to the watch society the last 5 years minimum.Complicated aquanaut in stainless steel!!! OMG this is absolutely devastating
I think the palm dial was really cool, but the BIG mistake was not offering it in the 31mm size. My wife loved it as she said it reminded her of Hawaii, but she has slender wrists and the 36mm was just too bulky for her - otherwise I would have bought her one.
Keep the W&W content coming until you’re sick of covering it. Lol. For those of us that don’t know where to look for this info or don’t have time to comb through, you’re providing an invaluable service. Thank you. 😊
I wasn’t that surprised that Tudor’s Glamour line had gone. I’d noticed around the time of your Tudor list video that there was practically no stock of them on the websites of Tudor ADs in the UK, which had me wondering if they were on the way out. I’d been hoping that they reissued the Date + Day model in a 36mm case. I was also hoping that they’d reissue the North Flag.
Honestly I’m still waiting to purchase my first Rolex since I’m still on the “waitlist”. My first choice was actually going to be the palm motif dial it only saddened me when it was only in 36mm I wish they had it as a 41 mm option because I don’t really have skinny wrists so it looked small on me.
That water resistence rating remembers me a bit of the Maurice Lacroix Aikons. Lately I got there Summer Edition. You can't find it on the dial neither on the caseback but they still have a water resistance of 200m
It's the attention to detail like the separation of Sea Dweller and DeepSea which is why I'm subscribed. Eagle eyed as always Britt - Killed it this year!!!
Good afternoon, I'm off topic but I need help. They gave me a watch from the 70s “Tian Harlan chronograph ” ,the head only rotates counterclockwise, is this normal? Or should I apply force and rotate clockwise? I'm afraid I'll spoil it because it's a wedding gift, it means a lot to me.
Woah. Definitely missed the Glamour line being removed. I’ll start the rumors now that they revive the Prince line next year to replace it. And I will rejoice and buy multiple. Give me a smaller big date and I’ll be banging down my AD’s doors.
Right?! I missed the glamour completely as well! Thank God commenters usually know more than me ;) And YOU KNOOOOW, I'd LOVE to see the Prince come back!!! They might be laying the ground work now!
