2010 Aliner Expedition Day 1: Demo, Doorway Repair & Cleaning

We may have bit off more than we can chew with this one but the price was too good to pass up. We traded our truck in last month for a jeep (way better gas milage) but no longer had a way to camp with unless we tented it. We looked into roof top tents for jeeps but they were so small and we would have to climb up and down a ladder (not great when you are aging). We started to look on facebook marketplace for popups but he didnt like that they were also tent like. I have always wanted an A-frame house so we felt the Aliner was a great compromise. We found several way out of our budget but then this one popped up down south for a lot less because lets face it, its in pretty bad shape. At this point we have disassembled and reassembled several campers, houses, cars, trucks, atvs and even our cabin boat so we felt pretty comfortable taking on the project, after all whats one more project in the pile of projects…lol. Today marks Day 1 of demo and cleaning. It looks a lot worse than it is as we have repaired damaged subfloors in the past. We are hoping to get it watertight for a camping trip next month and will do our best to document the process 😁
