My stock 2007 is about to hit 30,000 miles.
I hope you ride to another small town & show us around. It's really nice to see the character of these cool Texas towns. We appreciate you !!!
Absolutely! Thanks for commenting.
Congrats on the 500 just noticed your bumping 600 outstanding!!
I did a 4,000 mile ride earlier this year... Knox In. to Albuquerque NM to Mesa AZ to Forth Worth TX then back to Knox. Ruckus preformed Flawlessly What an Adventure!!
Thanks! The trip of yours is quite a feat. Congratulations!
Enjoying your vids! I've been thinking of getting one of these for a long time. These looks like simple fun. I've never seen a Ruckus video where the rider wasn't enjoying the ride. Keep it up!
Appreciate it. Hope you see my latest videos where I'm really putting the Ruckus to the test off-roading.
Thanks for this trip on your Honda Ruckus, Dondular. I just bought myself a Honda Ruckus 2023. After watching your trip video here, I am planning to go on one myself. Keep RUCKUS-ing! - Vulkee
My Ruckus is exactly like yours! I appreciate the video! Haven't thought about taking a long trip like that be will but will be doing it soon! Thanks for sharing!
the parts of Tx it is flat for sure. going through some of these small towns are a kick for sure. looks like you had a great time. congrats on 500 keep up the great work and have a great day
I have a Honda Helix 250.automatic transmission It’s a great bike. There’s a few People around my town have scooters. They’re usually older guys. I’ve had several mopeds when I was younger. Track. Tomas.hobbit. All was fun. I ride my Helix 20 miles to work usually 25-30 miles cruising back home it gets dark so soon so I just ride and enjoy the rest of the evening. I enjoy your videos just subscribed yesterday.
Thanks for the comment and the subscribe. I too can’t wait for daylight savings time to kick in. Ride safe!
Congrats on reaching 500. I like the little towns and it looked like a fun trip. I would have had to fill up my navi about the same last I checked it was getting about 75 mpg. Thanks for sharing the trip
It's so flat I'm reminded of that boring TX roadtrip movie where one boy asks another, "Have you ever bopped your baloney?"
Hello Dondular,
Just wanted to chime in and commend you for sharing this beautiful journey. I am new to the Ruckus community. Inspired me to ride and enjoy what life has to offer. Cheers from Arizona.
Thanks you! I really appreciate the comment. Ride safe and have fun on your new Ruckus.
Awesome video! I'm up in Waco, and thinking about getting a Ruckus as a partner to my KLR. I could see it being a ton of fun, especially on the gravel I ride.
Thanks! The Ruckus handles gravel pretty good.
i got a navi ..marlin tx ...cool vids fun fun fun...camping mini moto is fun..
I use mine to commute from work and short trips to save wear and tear on my truck
Very smart.
Really nice ride. Need to get out on my Ruckus more. Cheers!
Awesome video thanks for sharing..... ride safe.
I just a video about a Ruckus that has been driven over 80,000 miles with the same engine and still runs like brand new.
Don the OG ruckus rider.. you need your own tshirts and bumper stickers!
Merch coming soon! Lol!
Looks like alot of smiles per gallon
I am super jealous. I’d love to do what you’re doing
Thanks! Is there any reason you can’t do it?
Congrats on 500! Next milestone ***1000!***
I plan to get a scooter or minmoto next year and take up camping here in Quebec. I went through TX in 2000. Seen every state west ot TX. Lived in Mexico for 2.5 yrs. Honestly I didn't like TX, way too humid and people talk way too slow, fortunately you don't. I do love Coahuila, La Altaplanicie, and Mexico City. I also love Arizona, Nevada and CA. That chalk board is right-coffee solves a lot of problems.
Nice trip! How does the bum feel after sitting for so long? Is the seat comfortable? I'm looking to get a ruckus and I'm really enjoying your videos.
Hello Bryce, thanks for the comment. The seat is very comfortable but I stop and stretch my legs every so often.
A mesh cover helps cut back on swamp ass 😊
Did you buy your Ruckus brand new?
Yes.
Nice trip, waiting on my 13 year old to get old enough to get his motorcycle license so we can do this.
Subscribing. I was torn in getting a Vino 125 or a Ruckus as I do doordash. I dont think I need the additional 10 mph and insurance/registration payments.
Ride on. 👌
Do you not need insurance in your state? In Texas, we have to have insurance and registration on scooters than can go 30+mph or have an engine displacement greater than 49cc.
Wilcer on RUclips delivers on a Ruckus.
He has great content on setting up a Ruckus for food delivery.
Great Video ... Again .
I enjoyed watching this at work , sorry boss man.
And I enjoyed editing this while I was at work. 🤣
Congratulations 🎉
I dare you to ride it to the florida keys, load it onto a cruise boat and then ride it around the carribean
Maybe when I hit 1000.
Getting close now! Lol
I really like that helmet, where did you find yours?
I got it at my local Harley Davidson dealership and their prices usually match what you can find on Amazon.
so how fast do those scooters go?? can they reach 45 miles per hour???
They do 40 by design but it’s +- 2 mph from what I’ve heard. Mine would cruise at 42 at one time. Need to do a little maintenance to get it back up there though.
Very nice video
Thanks!
Congrats on 500 and very cool to take the Ruckus on a road trip. Love the sound of that little motor humming away. How fast will it go on those open roads? Be cool to see the speedo in the view.
Around 35-40
Did you say you put a fuel gauge on your Ruckus?
No. I just keep track of mileage in a notebook and there’s a reserve light that’s stock on the Ruckus. It’s a 5 liter gas tank (1.3 gallons) and the light comes on when there’s about a liter left.
How fast does your go max speed on flats?
40 mph
Wish I could afford a ruckus
Awesome!
My only suggestion is a mesh safety vest 🦺 and try to only use ethanol free gas if possible.
And use lighter variator weights if you will be in hilly, mountainous areas.
I'll be doing this soon on a Honda CT125.
CHEERS
Thanks!
Would love to get a ruckus but I'm 6'6".
If I were 6’6” this would be a Honda Africa Twin channel.
Get one stretched! 😂
My friend, I admire your thinking, but do worry about your hands. Ever considered gloves, even fingerless? You'll only know their true value if not wearing a pair the day hand meets road. God forbid :)
Duly noted. I do have fingerless gloves but can’t recall why I didn’t use them then.
It's really hard on your scooter to do a big trip like that
My little trips are nothing. You should do a RUclips search of “Lost with Mike” or “The Road is Life.” These are a couple of the videos I watched when I was researching the Honda Ruckus. There are a few DoorDashers that probably put more miles a day, everyday, than I do on my “long” trips. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
Check out Wilcer.
