This along with all other Ninjago Summer sets was released June 1 in nearly all regions LEGO serves worldwide, but not the Americas. It comes out here August 1. I bought this set through a viewer overseas.
It was not destroyed. The controls got damaged and could not get repaired being stranded on an Island. It is now in Ninjago city, where it could be fixed with actual tools.
Is it weird that I love this? I know it is made for play and children primarily, but it looks so awesome. I can appreciate play features even if I don’t use them.
The stickers on the sides of the lower hull have the number 8927, the set number of the toa terrain crawler, which makes sense since both are crafts that bring a team of 6 elemental heroes to the bottom of the sea for a very important mission
This reminds me of the Lego Atlantis Neptune Carrier set that I got when I was 12. Man, I love that after all this time Ninjago is still a Lego theme that still exists. And this is probably the best Lego underwater vehicle that's ever been made. And I think a lot of that is due to the Jules Verne 2000 leagues under the sea kind of vibes the design and styling this thing has. I only wish it had a different name, which is surprisingly the first and only instance of me feeling like this. Something like the Sea Pearl Bounty or Destiny's Tear. I feel like that last one would be very fitting for this vehicle in universe for a lot of reasons.
I'm not really a Ninjago fan but all these sets look really cool not gonna lie. You get such good value for your money, and a lot of minifigures compared to Star Wars (yes, I know, it's a licensed theme, but still) and some others.
I wish the best of luck with the channel, I've been watching since the near beginning now and it is unfortunate that RUclips is not treating it's creator's well. What ever you need to do to keep you great content going!
This is certainly one of the most unusual subs we have ever seen in Lego history! But I like it a lot, even if I'm not really into Ninjago sets, great review, Jang!
JANG HELLO. This set looks fantastic, I love the concept and kinda reminds Me of the sort of thing I'd build as a child. Sky boat things like out of doctor who.
Man I was not expecting the reviews for this Ninjago wave to come out so soon! Really looking forward to your reviews of the rest of them, I definitely have some questions about some of them that I'd like to have the answers to before they're actually available here in the US. I really gotta start saving up some money if I wanna get them, too.
As a person who stopped keeping up with Ninjago a few years ago, I would prefer if these new sub sets were a standalone line. Aside from my opinion though, I think this set looks great. I love that Lego is bringing back their detachable-vehicle function, and how much space and playability is in this set. I also love it's detailing and style. I would prefer to have more of that cargo bay as interior, but that's an easy mod to make, and furthermore, the demographic this set is marketed to might have more fun with the two mini-subs. Although this set leans a little on the pricey side, I think this has really good value and is a really fun Lego set.
I wish to be an 8 year old again - fantastic playset. Except the strange sail, it is a cool underwater mobile HQ. Imaging, how huge a docking station set for would be ..
Wow okay. That’s sick! I’m thinking about what 2 sets to get from this wave, cos I don’t have a whole lot of money. I was kinda looking for something interesting and different, but my budget peaks at about 110 dollars. Any ideas?
@@LuckyRoux709 I’d recommend waiting for the Hydro Bounty to go on sale until it goes down to around $100. That set gives you all the ninja and Calimaar. Then I’d say wait for the Temple of the Endless Sea to go on sale too, as that has some nice exclusive figures and builds
Great job LEGO this year is your far best in all themes it’s hard for me to pick which sets I’ll be getting(by bill is already 500$ with starwars and marvel) haha
Not really a Ninjago fan but this design reminds me of a cross between Divers and Aquazone, and I may end up buying this (if I can find the money). Also, I'm loving those villains and the blue/white ray
This will probably be the first Ninjago set I get from the wave once it releases. Do agree I'd prefer $120 for it, but guess it's not a huge issue since the Legacy Bounty and Land Bounty before it costs the same. Can't wait for the remaining Ninjago reviews Jang!
In the show Zane felt left out and thats why he has scuba gear on its a hilarious moment that I am so glad they included in this set 😂😂😂😂 we love the Nindroids as Pixal (who in my opinion should've been included) calls him out asking why he needs a scuba suit.
it’s a shame that scuba nya only comes in this set, im glad the nrg form gets more than one appearance, but it still feels like she’s being underserved in number of appearances.
I can see the Nautilus submarine inspiration now that you mention it. I should build Kalmaar's chariot though, would fit well with the altar of the wave amulet or where ever it was found/ whatever the side build is supposed to be called for the water dragon set.
If LEGO can do something League of Extraordinary Gentlemen inspired, what about a Watchmen squid-esque set or a Sandman Dream Castle-like D2C? Definitely highly improbable but I can dream...
To make a mech with the bow is extra nice, shame they didn’t go all the way too with the action feature of the propulsor. And that periscope looks a bit too plain. That said it’s a very good set.
14:10 I remember getting alternate hair pieces back in the hands of time wave (though there couldve been an earlier wave that did so), which came out in 2017, so getting alternate hair pieces was a precedent set not just a few years ago. Although with sons of garmadon, that was dropped, so maybe it wasnt such a precedent as I remember.
This set looks so so sooooooook good. I think it’s a must have, especially since it comes with all the characters you’d need. Just wish I wasn’t leaving for college this fall. ):

This is a good set and I'm gonna try to get it but still the Lego Iv wanted the most my entire life is the ultra stealth Raider, Someday I might get it who knows. Its sad that they discontinue the Old Masters Of spinjitzu sets, I feel like it would be cool if they had like a Line of Legos that revives old sets for a short amount of time.
I noticed how Lego is getting really expensive. Polybags used to be 4 bucks and went up by one, just this year. I remember the small $5 sets that now cost $7 or $12.
I like the suit designs for this wave except for the sword holder i wish it had that underwater mouth piece that came on avatar nya and a s11 sword holder

If it was a Star Wars set at that price, we would be lucky to even get half of that amount of minifigures.
I think you're a bit harsh. If it was a Star Wars set, we would just need one hair piece for the single one minifigure kindly offered with the set...
This whole set has such powerful Gurren Lagann vibes. Amazing.

The whole Hydo Bounty reminds me of a chinese dragon head. The white colour scheme and the wispy side bits really give me a reptillian vibe.
i never thought of it like that
Well it would fit in with Ninjago's theme, and the Bounty vessels thus far had a dragon of sort on it.
Most definitely, especially with all the fins acting somewhat like whiskers.
Is it weird that I love this? I know it is made for play and children primarily, but it looks so awesome. I can appreciate play features even if I don’t use them.
Um it’s definitely not weird, LEGO is for everyone and the company has really been pushing this ideal lately.
I got myself an underwater lloyd set, hidden in the house, away from my daughter...
They had air, land, ocean, and now underwater? Next season I swear there will be an underground bounty with a giant drill on the front.
Or in space... A NASA Bounty could be the next big thing.
It would need two drills unless Lego could make a massive one
I feel like a Ninjago space season would be like the oni trilogy
it's been a while since the last drilling set (apart from the small police one)
Well you had the legacy earth driller actually wasn't master of the mountain under ground season tho
