    Can you explain your process of studying each day? How much of it do you allocate to reviewing past material vs learning current material? Do you strive to memorize every bit of detail for exams? How do you know for sure if you've studied "enough" at the end of every day? (In other words, studying enough to actually do well on exams and not just "feeling" like you've studied enough - false sense of confidence.)

    • @yugiohforce1
      @yugiohforce1  3 года назад +10

      Hmm, ill try to answer this question, even though a lot of it is somewhat just intuitive for me. Just go with the flow type of thing. Reviewing past vs learning current, it really depends on the class. I try to stay up to date in the harder classes and put off the courses I know I can pick up quicker. In terms of determining that, it really depends how much you understand during lecture. Harder classes, stay more current. For exams, the higher up you go its more about problem-solving. I try to know the content well enough that I feel like I can explain it well rather than memorizing everything and well enough that I can comfortably ace the practice tests if i retook them. For most classes, it's ur confidence after doing practice and more problems that tells you how confident to feel.

    Solid video, but you are wrong about one thing. Most schools do accept AP credits.
    EDIT: This is not to say all of them do, I know schools like Harvard and Yale do not accept them. Just make sure you do your due diligence when applying and use MSAR (Medical School Admissions Requirements) tool provided by the AAMC.

      @@yugiohforce1 Yeah it is great news. You do have to keep it in mind if you have a specific school that you are interested in that might not accept it though. This past cycle I had to cut off a few schools that did not accept them, but the vast majority (85%+) did accept all of my AP credits. All of my acceptances did not even mention or notice the fact that a huge chunk of the prereqs were taken in high school lol.

    I’m confused how you took fluids and waves/QM without having taken multi or differential equations. Was it a watered down version?
    At my school both of those require a base knowledge of linear ODEs if not PDEs-
    I feel like the takeaway is that you should choose a less intense major, take the watered down classes, and boost your GPA with lots of sociology, psychology, and ethics electives.

    Hey josh I am currently a junior and a premed student. Do you have any tips for taking physics because I dropped out of AP physics in high school because of the shit teacher I had and have been terrified of physics ever since. Physics never came to me easily so i am wondering if you have any study tips that helped you. The Physics class I am taking is physics of motion fluids and heat

    • @yugiohforce1
      @yugiohforce1  3 года назад

      honestly, I'm not sure if I had any magical tips, but for me, it took doing many many practice problems, like as many as i could. For some people getting chegg was super helpful too, but you can't just use it to cheat, you need to solve the problems first, then see if you did it the right way.

    I'm about to graduate from Penn State, and holy hell I'm jealous of that 4.0 and not being burnt out. If I can say anything about penn state, I regret wasting my earlier semesters, since I wrecked my gpa my freshman year and while I got better I really didn't socialize or network at all afterwards. Now I hate having online classes (and paying full tuition for them). I'm barely gonna have a 3.2 and I've gotten at least one C C+ or B- pretty much every semester.
    Hardest class I've ever attempted was Astro 291: Introduction to astrophysics of the solar system. Easiest was Art 101: Introduction to web design (it's literally just html).
    Astronomy/Physics has a great department (at least if you're a major, the profs getting a bad rep for phys 211-214 usually get it bc of the large class size, I've had them in smaller classes and they're amazing. 400-levels are insanely difficult, but the profs will still make you love what you're doing). Avoid having to deal with EECS past 200-level courses.
    Might try animedoro bc I might die this semester, plus I've never watched anime really before.
    Gl with med school
