It’s Friday night I took out my electric bike and cruised down Hollywood Boulevard to see all the nightlife in Hollywood I saw that they set up the tents and the bleachers for the 2022 Oscar celebration It was not too busy so I went to the world famous Sunset Boulevard to see how the nightlife would be there I compared it with the nightlife 30 years ago some places were the same and some of the cool places were not there anymore I just had fun riding around with my bicycle

Agreed!!! I've just gotten being a subscriber! Busy, watching the back catalogue! He is such an amazing guy!!! I identify as being German, living in the UK, so it's brilliant seeing his viewpoint of life. The UK is beautiful, too.

I loved going to Hollywood in my 20’s. Miyagis, white lotus, rainbow and all. We had a lot of fun. Living vicariously through you..got a small boy 3. Thank you GIV you are adorable and bring me smiles 😀

Mike this was AWESOME! Just walking around with a friend, seeing what you see. For me, I can't get enough because I grew up in Hollywood. It was good to see my old high school. I went to HHS from 68' - 71'. I had a class picture and other pictures taken on those steps. I have so many photographs of Hollywood back when I lived there from 62'- 71'. Keep it up Mike!!! Thanks so much.

Everybody used to cruise Sunset on Fridays, not anymore it's been destroyed!
The government shut down bars and clubs for 15 months. Then they required masks and covid papers. Many places never recovered.

Sammy Shore along with his writing partner Rudy De Luca founded the Comedy Sore in 1972 (his wife Mitzi took over in 1974). The Comedy Store club launched the careers of many comedians including Rodney Dangerfield, David Letterman, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey and others including his own son, Pauly. He was chosen, in 1969, to open for Elvis Presley’s comeback performance at the International Hotel, Las Vegas. Sammy Shore opened for Elvis’ Road shows from 1969 until 1972. Shore continued to perform comedy, opening for Tony Orlando, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Sammy Davis Jr. and others. Shore appeared in many films and made an appearance on the Ed Sullivan show.

That's too bad that the "Tower Records" property is being morphed into something else. I wonder if anyone ever considered keeping it going by selling music related products and having special events featuring rock celebrities. It could have been like a museum and business simultaneously.
I doubt that would cover the taxes at that location, let alone the mortgage or lease..
