    like many of the people commenting, your videos about HRT/top surgery were a huge resource for me when it came to my own transition. thank you for showing a world where non-binary/genderqueer transition is possible!
    and I totally get that when you’re in the beginning of your journey, there’s so much to say and then everything sort of tapers off and you just live your life.
    as far as burnout goes, no worries! please take care of yourself-we’ll still be here whenever you happen to come back :)

    I can't believe that it has been 5 years already! That is insane! I am so glad to hear that you are still really happy with the results and that the surgery has helped you as much as it has. Have a good week! I hope that things get better for you with the burnout and executive functioning.

    I think I started following you in 2018/2019, before I had my surgery. Just wanted to let you know that your videos helped me a lot... You were definitely my and my mom's favorite person to watch. Thank you for sharing that part of your life.
    Burnout is very real. I hope you have time to relax and find what motivates you and your happiness again. I wish you the best!

    Still hoping I'll be able to make this journey in the future. I was due to start hormones in 2020 and surgery for 2022. None of that happened. Insurance got screwed up big time with "company cost savings" and I lost most of my specialty doctors to "out-of-network." I don't know if I have the strength to start over. I'm so used to the discomfort of my chest anymore that maybe I'll just live with it and be unhappy. I have a lot of other things I can be happy about.
    Edit: aaaand given how the TX election just went, it's safer to just not transition at all, screw it, can't be targeted if I look femme. Physical safety is a higher priority in my daily life than my mental safety.

    Impressed with your scars. They've practically just disappeared. I'm having a bilateral mastectomy for health reasons (cancer) but as non-binary too, I also look forward to just having a flat chest. It won't be tye finish you have as the nature and intention of the surgery is different but I do hope I heal quite well and have as smooth as finish as can be expected. I am following your advice on what to have on hand for post surgery though. This is pretty much identical to what bc patients have to do post-surgery as well and you had some great ideas. Thanks for sharing!

    • @CelesteM
      @CelesteM  Год назад

      Yeah, when I was preparing for mine I looked at some resources for cancer patients also! It is very similar although the end result is a little different, as you said. I hope all goes well with your procedure!

      Thank you! It was included 😊 It was just done in his office so I just had to pay for gas to get there and back, basically.
