Zach! Thank you for saying orient the pieces, instead of orientate them! Ohhhhhh huge pet peeve of mine! Especially when people say orientated, instead of oriented! You don’t know how many people I hear saying it incorrectly! ❤️❤️❤️
My favorite thing about the videos on this channel? No rules! I see you guys do do many things the “wrong” way and your quilts turn out beautiful. It makes it easy for beginners (I think) when they can follow along and have a project without being intimidated by all the “thou shalt not’s”. They can learn that later if they want.
I completely agree with you! I've heard that you're "supposed to" sew two strips together, and sew another two strips together, and sew the two sets of two together. Instead of just adding a strip as you go. I love that he did it that way though because yeah- not everything has to be "done the right way!"
😍😍So sorry I am just catching this .I am trying to catch up on the comments. Hope to do better in the future. Thanks for watching our lives. We appreciate it !!!!!!
A bit too busy for me I would have to add Sashing otherwise my eyes would become cross eyed. But I’m glad to see this because I have a jelly roll I purchased from you guys and was not sure of what to do with it
Oh how funny I decided to like your comment before I realized who it was lol. I also have a jelly roll that I purchased from them and wasn’t sure what the heck to do with it. But I have many many many more projects ahead of that one
Great advice on how this pattern can be used when considering fabric options! 👊 I’m still working on mine from the (totally awesome) retreat. Today’s a good day for it since we now have SNOW! ❄️
Hello! Thanks for watching! The pattern will be linked in the video description as soon as it is available. We apologize for the delay! In the meantime, you can try some of our other free patterns here: sewyeahquilting.com/pages/free-tutorials Happy quilting!🎈😃

From one of the close-up shots he was not pressing the seams open. I think if you sew at a stitch length of 2 cm you probably could press the seams open so everything would lay flat especially because there’s a lot going on in the middle of the four block quilt block
Thanks for watching! It is your preference. We sometimes iron the seams open, and sometimes to the dark side, depending on the fabric being used. Which ever you prefer is great. Happy quilting!
Looking for a scrappier look? Zach's got a great scrappy pattern here!

Zach! Thank you for saying orient the pieces, instead of orientate them! Ohhhhhh huge pet peeve of mine! Especially when people say orientated, instead of oriented! You don’t know how many people I hear saying it incorrectly! ❤️❤️❤️
😂😂 Phew! Glad we got it correct! Thank you for watching!

What size quilt will one jelly roll make?
Hi! The pattern with one jelly roll will make a 45 x 60 quilt. Thanks for watching!
how do you determine where the 1/4” is with the pinked edges?
You can measure from the "peak" of the edge to get the most out of your fabric, or from the "valley" of the edge if you want to be on the safe side. Try both and see which you like more!
Are you ironing seams open or to the darker side
From one of the close-up shots he was not pressing the seams open. I think if you sew at a stitch length of 2 cm you probably could press the seams open so everything would lay flat especially because there’s a lot going on in the middle of the four block quilt block
